Opinion is: 3 compounds for decomp were present but gave low responses from the instruments. Can't say that human decomp gave off those gases.

  • #742
All this for an “inconclusive” maybe human remains were there. This is from the dt????

  • #743
His tests couldn't conclusively determine whether there was a dead body in the trunk.

  • #744
gee I wonder if they will let him smell the carpet in a can??? hmmmmmmmmm

  • #745
BINGO! DECOMPOSITION gas found! also said it could have been cabbage or soil. None of which was found in the trunk.

Does anyone remember exactly what WAS left in the trunk after it got to the A's garage? Txs

  • #746
Witness says he can't conclude there was human decomp in the car.

  • #747
Witness opinion is based on sample they collected and analysed. Could not say with certainty, based on his work alone, whether there was a decomposing body in the trunk of ICA's car.

  • #748
Okay, could someone clarify this for me?

Did he just testify that the chloroform came from a decomposing body? This is a defense witness, right?

Right..but just confirmed the State's case...ICA should hang this up and rest her case...take her just desserts and leave it at that...I do believe she is as guilty as sin....she will be found guilty...IMO....

So now it was a garbage bag there. I thought it was trash. What was the difference again?

  • #750
In addition to cabbage, onions, cleaners and clorox.

Who's been in poking around in CM's briefcase?

  • #751
Did he just say he agreed with Vass that it could be human decomp?

  • #752
Aren't we supposed to believe that GA set up Casey by placing the body in the car? Didn't I hear somewhere that GA had access to the car? So why are they trying so hard to prove body was never in car?

  • #753
Can't buy that at this point that the jury is not convinced there was a dead body in the car. This line of questioning is a waste of time for the defense.

:cow:

  • #754
The chemical is present in onions, cabbage, and decomposition events!

Of course there was no cabbage & onions found in the trunk or trash bag. Oh, and no hamburger.

But there was decomposition!

  • #755
How many people have stated they smelled DECOMP ?? !! No matter how many of these "expert" witnesses the DT puts on, if I was on the jury, I would already believe there was a decomposing body in the trunk.

  • #756
Is the forced jail food thing because she's a current felon? Would an innocent person awaiting trial have the same rules? Frankly, I'm not sure why the man should care either way - if someone else brings her food, it's one less $1 we have to shell out to feed her.

If she were out on bond and on trial..... she could go to say.... The Dessert Lady's lil bistro or enjoy a treat brought by one of her adoring admirers.

She's incarcerated- so it's tube steak sammies for lunch.

  • #757
OK so his test cannot conclusively say there were human remains, but if you ad the 7 people who smelled it and know the smell, the cadaver dog hit and the adipocere, the jury can now make an edjumacated guess as to what was in the trunk. Thanks, CM.
They might be able to kerfuffle one piece of evidence, but there are TOO many that indicate what was going on in June 2008 in the pontiac sunfire.

  • #758
This witness backs up Dr Vass's testimony about finding markers of human decomposition in the trunk.

So what was this witnesses opinion? I thought he agreed with vass - but may have missed it.

  • #759
So we had cabbage, onions, and bananas on the pizza?
