I think BK felt he HAD to do the deed that night. Anyone with any sense, especially a CJ major, would have known the odds of someone being awake with the DD delivery just having happened was more than astronomically high, it was factual.

BK did it anyway for some reason that I can't put my finger on. Was it for the thrill? I have always thought he meant to kill them all. Was his focus on one primary target? It could well have started that way, but the fact that he could have walked down those stairs after killing Maddie and Kaylee and out the door in a straight shot without having to murder Xana and Ethan makes me wonder. He was in disguise, even DM couldn't ID him except for his Brybrows (courtesy of @Megnut).

I can't get it out of my head when Kaylee's dad asked early on "Why did he have to go upstairs?" I'm not 100% convinced of the order of the killings. This fence sitting is killing me.

This may be why there was an order sealing the state's amended witness list on 6/20. I thought perhaps it had something to do with the DD driver. It seems it may be these two. Searfoss is allegedly a corrections officer at the jail that BK was taken to when arrested in Pa. Not sure about the other name. JMO

Two more people with ties to Monroe County have been subpoenaed to testify in the trial of a Monroe County man accused of killing four university students in Idaho.

According to court documents, William Searfoss and Anthony Somma have been called to testify in the trial of Bryan Kohberger, 30, formerly of Albrightsville.

It is unclear whether the defense or prosecution is calling Searfoss and Somma.

And we have DO NOT KNOCK in two places on our instructions (dog goes crazy). Our doorbell is disconnected.

Dog still senses them most times, but doesn't get frantic unless they actually touch the door. We never watch for them, but yeah, I've got that tracker open.

This new twist of the DD being so near BK's car (right next to him, is how I understand it) really does make me wonder why he didn't assume people inside were awake.

Of course, he didn't know it was a DD at the time (they don't have marked cars). He could have thought the party was over and the last partier was leaving. I realize there was no party, but he might not have.

He assumed, correctly, than many in the house had been drinking and probably thought that made them easy victims.

JMO, he could have had a system or code or superstitious date. Or he wanted to do it before someone or something else happened or more time went by. I guess we will never know. Had planned it out and was determined not to default. That is what Elliot Rodger had done and he even included being shot dead by police in his plan.

I think BK had some reason to be determined. He stuck to plan despite many factors were not the same as usual - there were two vehicles not usually there, one of which was brand new and had never once been there before. MOO

This will defo be known to the state through her autopsy, but the public don’t know. How long did she even have to eat it? Like 3 minutes before BK enters?

Fast food to me is just food because I can't get real food.

In new court documents filed in Pennsylvania this week, two more individuals - William Searfoss and Anthony Somma - were hit with summons to testify in the upcoming trial.

Searfoss works as a correction officer at Monroe County Correctional Facility, where Kohberger was held following his arrest at his parents' home in Albrightsville, back on December 30, 2022.

I think that is likely X had her ear buds in because what little I know of Tik Tok is it's dancing and singing. So she's munching away and BK opens the door and goes upstairs unseen or heard. Then X goes towards the kitchen and sees the open door and says "someone is here". I think she went to the kitchen because her sack of food was found there.

But the problem there is if X did that wouldn't DM have seen her? Unless she put her bag down on the counter and said "someone is here" as she turned to go to her room and DM didn't see her. Shut the door and locked it.

Some think X went up the stairs to check on KG and MM and got chased by BK. But the problem there is if X made that statement I think she would have yelled it as she ran down the steps to her room. DM just missed seeing them.

Perhaps the intonation of the voice was left out because if they said DM reported she heard a voice scream that would imply all sorts of things.

One last thing I'd love to know is where did they find X's phone?

I'll be glad to get some answers and get more information. BK had to be covered in blood. I would think MM and KG's blood be found on someone or something in that bedroom.

DM is lucky to be alive but what an awful burden for her to carry through life. Sadly, the only consolation is even if she'd called the cops and the caught BK at the scene they would most likely have already perished.

I feel terrible for MM, the DoorDash driver.

When MM said to the arresting officer from the back seat, “they’re gonna kill me” if she’s charged with a DUI, I assume she was referring to the defense tearing her apart on the stand, which IMO, will likely happen.

This poor woman is already being torn apart now, for crying out loud. She’s like the new DM.

I can’t believe the unredacted body cam and police station footage is publicly available. Why is this allowed? Complete strangers now know her name, her birthdate, even her past traumas!

Can you imagine having your most embarrassing or private or tragic moments subject to public ridicule? We see her at a terrible moment in her life that would humiliate anyone, let alone someone as vulnerable as she is.

When I first saw the brief clip in which MM claims to know Bryan and to be the DD driver, I was immediately skeptical. Her claims seemed outlandish, delusional. Then I watched the entire video. It took me two seconds afterwards to find out that she was telling the truth about her husband’s murder (I had her full name and date of birth, so it wasn’t exactly difficult .)

But now I know, and I feel the need to defend her. I don’t care if she was bending the truth about her drug use. She’s likely had to self medicate her whole sad existence. All I care about is that she told the truth about her husband. Sometimes outlandish tales are true. So I’ll believe what she says about BK, too. Not that it’s any of my business. LE, the State, the Defense and Judge Hippler are the only ones whose business it is, at least until trial.

I’m sorry for the rant, guys, but I can’t stand how DM was thrown under the bus by LE and the State, IMO, and now the same thing is happening to MM. It’s the worst of two worlds—the First Amendment allows DM and now MM to be fodder for public pillorying, and the dang gag order prevents LE or the State from doing anything about it.

I realize I am being hypocritical. I, too, have violated MM’s privacy. I apologize, MM, for doubting you, and for being part of the problem.

I lied to my parents for 2 years as to why I couldn't drive home 4 hours away to see them (because I really had a suspended license but was too ashamed to tell them) I lied and lied and lied again.

But, being a dumbass, I still kept drinking. UNTIL a few years later... in a drunken rage, on night, I pushed my wife to the ground.

Even though I was drunk, I knew instantly (for the first time) that I was an alcoholic and needed help. I cried and told her I needed help. She suggested AA.

I found an AA meeting and attended within a few days, went there for many many meetings over the years and only by the grace of God, I haven't drank since then (27 years now).

I admitted I could not control alcohol and finally turned my life around then. I am 64 now.

I know exactly what she was thinking and feel her desperation. But she has to hit her own kind of bottom and realize she needs help in order for her to change. Maybe this incident will make her seek help to turn it around. Praying for her.

Thanks, I’m definitely revealing my ignorance about Door Dash! I think it’s possible that Xana noticed a car appearing and reappearing multiple times before the DoorDash driver arrived. Because their address is so wonky, she may have been concerned the driver was lost. Do the drivers text back and forth with clients? Also, are clients told the make and model of the driver’s car?

@SteveP, both The Pocono Record article and the recent Daily Mail article say the same thing about the court documents, but neither provides a link to the docs.

The subpoenas for the two men are not yet on the Pennsylvania Cases of Interest page for Kohberger, though the list is “selective”: Commonwealth v Kohberger

I wonder when or if they will appear. We should know then whether the prosecution or the defense called them to be witnesses.

can you imagine that 7 foot tall skinny weirdo standing in the shadows? it's so disturbing and they can't hide his size or his weirdness in court. he is extremely unlikeable and unsympathetic. I can think of things that would help but I'm not going to say because I don't want to help him.

when the jury hears how he drove over there later that morning...any doubt will be erased.

I want to be really clear here so I can keep track.

1. We KNOW Xana Ordered Door Dash as a fact to be presented in court.
2. We KNOW for a FACT that there was a Jack in the Box bag with Xana's name on it in the kitchen at some point at least after the killings.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but IIRC we DON'T know for a FACT:

1. Exactly what Xana ordered.
2. If this JITB bag was from that night.
3. If there is anything left in it in this image.
4. If there was anything leftover from the DD delivery put in the fridge or left on the counter.
5. When this bag was put in the kitchen.
6. Where this bag was found. (example: elsewhere, and LE put it in the kitchen to be further processed)
7. If it was moved around in the kitchen and this was the picture taking resting place, but not the original resting place

Logic would dictate that the DD was from JITB and that it might be this bag. However, if Xana had JITB munchies on a regular basis, it could have been a bag from a previous night. I have a hard time with that one because when the girls were pretending to be each other, Xana was portrayed and just doing chores when they need to be done. That would indicate she wasn't one to leave trash around, but that is still supposition.

Someone please add here if I am wrong and there is valid documentation that the DD order was proven from JITB as a fact. My cobwebby brain can't seem to find anything as actual proof.
