Hello from a recent subscriber to the site who has been lurking in this thread.

Is this a Premium 48 hours podcast? If so, bummer. I'd really like to listen to this!
As far as I can tell, it appears that the podcasts will be completely free. You may have to have an Apple account to listen, although I do not believe that you will. If you do, however, it is free to create one.

Welcome to WS! Feel free to jump in at any time. Would love to hear your thoughts. JMO

I'm not a podcast listener, nor do I have an Apple account, but I was able to listen to the trailer that was posted upthread. I'm thinking I'd be able to listen to the actual podcast as well. Did you try clicking on the link to listen on the podcast page to see if it would work for you?

I did listen to the trailer on that page, but when I clicked on the hyperlinked title it said 48 Hours+.

I'm a Podcast Addict (also the name of the Android app I use. LOL ) .

I just went a step further than I had before, and when I clicked on the title, I too saw the 48 Hours+, so it appears that, at least live, it may be premium, although, if so, hopefully it will be released free shortly after. JMO

I think that is likely X had her ear buds in because what little I know of Tik Tok is it's dancing and singing. So she's munching away and BK opens the door and goes upstairs unseen or heard. Then X goes towards the kitchen and sees the open door and says "someone is here". I think she went to the kitchen because her sack of food was found there.

But the problem there is if X did that wouldn't DM have seen her? Unless she put her bag down on the counter and said "someone is here" as she turned to go to her room and DM didn't see her. Shut the door and locked it.
RS&BBM. It was around 4 am, DM was in her bedroom sleeping when she was woken up by noises, and her door was closed (indicated by the statement below she had opened and closed it several times).

So, IMO, DM wouldn't have seen or heard Xana going into the kitchen with her bag of food.

"Mortensen opened her bedroom door on the second floor of the house several times shortly after 4 a.m. Mortensen told police that she was awoken by what she thought was Goncalves playing with her dog in one of the third-floor bedrooms.
....
When Mortensen opened her door a third time, she saw a male figure clad in black clothing and wearing a mask over his mouth and nose.

.....
Mortensen also told investigators that she heard Goncalves' dog barking throughout the night."

I hadn't read this ^^^ last sentence ^^^ before about DM saying Murphy was barking "throughout the night" -- now it makes even more sense to me as to why DM thought the loud noises were Kaylee playing with Murphy. ETA: If true

Oh... so they pull you in by letting you listen to the trailer... and then slam the door shut and make you pay if you want more. Figures. lol

I have never read or heard any comment to that effect either.

I would love to see where that is recorded anywhere. Until I do, I do not think I will take that as fact. JMO

I am not a podcast listener but was curious so clicked on MeadowMuffin's link. What I found is anyone can listen and 48 Hours+ subscription is for ad free and limited series early access. New episodes covering BK's trial start July 26. HTH!

Yes.

In a final pretrial, a judge ruled the August trial of Bryan Kohberger, charged with killing four University of Idaho students in 2022, will be livestreamed.

When information becomes available which channels would be live streaming, please could someone list as many as possible? I'm in the UK so I'll probably have to add an app to my firestick to watch. Plus, obviously the time difference, I think Idaho is -7 hours British summer time? I think I'm gonna need to retrain my body clock for this trial, we have ALL waited long enough for it to begin! Especially the families and dear friends of the 4 victims.

As always, PLEASE sleuthers, post as much as you can here if you are able to watch and be here too, your "at that moment" reactions paint such a brilliant picture for those unable to view live! Thank you in advance

Oh, goodness. Looks like she was trying one or more of the idiotic theories out there. This was good:

"Defendant has provided no probative, admissible, significant evidence of motive, ill-feelings, means, presence at the scene or any other connection to the crime that could possibly move the ball to the extent it supports an alternate perpetrator theory."

To say the defense was slinging mud at the wall in regards to their alternate perpetrator argument, is entirely appropriate. We knew it would be weak, but this is absolutely hilarious.

They pointed the finger at three people who knew one or more of the victims, and engaged with them socially in the hours before the murders.

The fourth person was a male who considered approaching a victim as she exited a store 5 weeks before the murders.

I assume investigators saw this when they were scouring surveillance footage, and investigated him.

All of these people were cooperative, and supplied fingerprints, DNA, and consented to searches (certainly involving their phones at a minimum).

There was no evidence connecting them to these murders.

Been watching all day for this, and had about given up. I have some reading to do, but until then, I will just say, "the justice train is rolling, and Engineer Hippler is driving! It is finally on the fast track, and nothing is going to stop it now! Bring it on!

ETA: Maybe AT and those who love to count her wins vs the state's can consider opening statements being pushed back one week, til Aug 18, one of her biggies! I doubt anyone else will. JMO
