Abby & Libby - The Delphi Murders - Richard Allen Arrested - #201

So, theoretically, he could be found guilty of felony murder (if he is proven to be bridge guy by the prosecution) but not guilty of murder?
Just trying to lay this all out in my head!
Yes. Committing a felony that leads to a person's death is 'felony murder.'

Robbing a store, and that ends up killing the clerk in any way - even if you are not the shooter is felony murder.

Kidnapping that leads to the victim's death is felony murder.

Etc.

Of note:

The bullet found after moving the bodies of Abby and Libby was not easy to see. It was found using a blue light that showed a sparkle.

Sounds like this clarifies that the bullet was not found days after the murder, after the scene was released, as has been claimed and speculated on in the past.

The bullet was point down and depressed into the ground.

Max described it as a contentious cross examination.

So he wasn’t an investigator at the crime scene? Geez, it certainly was discussed in detail here in WS, IIRC.

No, he was a police officer/assistant chief in a different town and his nexus with the investigation was being asked by two ISP detectives to help operate video equipment when they interviewed a person who was a possible POI.

Yet another conspiracy debunked.
lol. And the comments are exactly what I’m talking about. I’m not blaming Angela, but the tweet says: “This investigator was not aware of a rape kit being done on either victim.”

And naturally the comments are all over the investigators for not performing a rape kit, all because this particular person wasn’t in charge of that aspect.

That’s literally one of the first things they would have done at autopsy.

yeah, the ole game of telephone.

Does that mean it was fired into the ground?

I know nothing about guns so forgive me if that's a dumb question.

No, nothing has changed in that regard. It’s just that the bullet was partially buried, and pointing vertically and not horizontally as one would normally expect.

One thing that makes me really happy, if "happy" could be an emotion that I feel on this sad and emotional day, is that the crime scene techs were so experienced. We heard a lot in the intervening years from people who said "well the Delphi police likely didn't know how to analyse a crime scene" and for all we know that may be true, but the people who had to deal with this were, ultimately, very experienced at what they do, being part of ISP.
Insane. People are so ignorant - but strongly opinionated - about how criminal investigations proceed. The head of the Indiana State Police and the head FBI agent in Indiana led the investigation from the moment the girls were found murdered. That is addressed in the first press conference, Feb. 22nd, 2017

However, in my opinion, MSM loves the defense for stirring up controversy that leads to clickbait headlines.

I really have no reason to believe it was intentional, but it’s had a tremendous effect on social media already. I predicted that would happen before it happened, because it happens all the time. It’s a bigger deal here though, because the investigation is already under the microscope, and there’s no smoking gun like there is in many other cases we follow.
