As he said in one of his confessions, when he saw the van, he knew his plans were ruined. After that he never really mentions the girls. He just said they went across the creek and he "cut the necks" because he didn't want witnesses. He completely depersonalized the girls, didn't even think of them as human, as most sociopaths, killers and pederasts do. The girls exist only for his sexual gratification, their lives were meaningless to him. They still are meaningless to him. He's not sorry for killing them. He doesn't care, isn't capable of caring.

BTW, I hope we soon get to hear the recordings of his voice on the phone calls or any recording of it at all.
And after the fact, after being incarcerated and coming to God, he only cared about going to heaven and not hell, so he could be with HIS loved ones for eternity. Oh once or twice he may have thought of the girl's families but it passed and it was back to self-serving Rick.

Now he sits in court accused of double child murder and still finds humor to chuckle about with his lawyer or his family. How resilient he is, wow. AJMO

Regarding the psychologist Dr. Wala describing RA as "selfless" in relation to his wife ...

"Our research, published this week, found threats of self-harm and suicide were a tactic of coercive control men used against female partners.

Together with other forms of physical, emotional, economic and psychological controlling behaviour, threats of self-harm and suicide were intended to instil fear and exert power over women."

We can and should question the Dr.'s findings.
I was pretty amazed that the judge allowed her testimony.

Probably bc the defense believes he is innocent and I believe pleading insanity is insanity during commission of the crime committed.

They must be deluded if they believe he is innocent. I mean that’s a possibility, after all, they did write all those Franks that were filled mostly with lies.

He will be left to rot in about 2 weeks which will give everybody the justice they deserve.

That seems a correct ruling.
I am missing HUGE portions of this trial, but I still don't understand what they were introducing it for. It could be used in rebuttal depending on what the Defense puts up, but this was in the prosecution's case in chief. No way it would come in. I don't understand why they were trying. And why was the video not disclosed? The prosecution has a good case, why make these kinds of errors?
It sounds like this happened quite recently, although they haven't said how recently. Even those of us able to follow the case closely don't know the context here.

How does Kathy Allen saying that negate what Richard Allen said about losing his mind?

I think the prosecutions case has made it very clear that Richard Allen was suffering from psychosis and the defense hasn’t even put their case on.

Using Richard Allen’s words of “I’m loosing my mind” to prove he’s sane is a weird reach imo
If his wife felt indifferent about it, so do I. Not sure that's the reaction I would give my husband if I thought he was losing his mind. What's that called deflecting? RA and KA have an interesting dynamic that's for sure. MOO.

So far, I've seen at least 2 reports that said "white". Pretty sure I also recall a couple mentions of a white van yesterday when they were reporting on the testimony of the prison psychologist and his confessions.

Thanks, but neither of those articles say that RA mentioned "white", though this fox59 report does state (twice) he said "white van":

I don't think the insanity plea had a chance.

And that does not mean he doesn't have mental illness issues as he clearly does. But he was not insane that day on the bridge.

I don’t think there was ever a suggestion that he was insane when these crimes were committed. The insane behavior didn’t start until he had been in solitary for several months.

People keep bringing up the Franks motion like it’s all laughable or made up, but there’s quite a lot of information about other possible suspects that is quite compelling. ETA: I’m not talking about the Odinist angle but there’s some interesting info about that also.

While the Odin stuff is uber cringy and I really hope the defense doesn’t try and sell that to the jury, I DON’T think they are deluding themselves at all! The defense hasn’t even had their turn yet and I have doubts that he is guilty
