What about her sister?
She is estranged from her sister and may not even be able to give contact details for a next of kin reference.
What about her sister?
I'm not diagnosing here but a narcissist is all about controlling the narrative. As is the defence's job too, but only a narcissist too wants to share all the details. Sure, a traumatic birth is definitely sad, but... why? What purpose does it serve? I hope the poor son isn't embarrassed by that detail being shared to the general public.

The bpd is the “I hate you, don’t leave me” and hysteria. The sociopathy is lack of empathy and emotions. They’re at odds, as far as I know and a very rare dual diagnosis. The only person I have seen similar is Jodi Arias in the USA.sorry that was a stuff up
but yes, BPD by itself can be treated and not everyone with it is violent. but the sociopathy makes it more dangerous. pretty scary
They don’t have anyone to give good character references, imo. They are desperate and Erin as we have seen in her lies to the media when she released that statement full of lies after failing to cooperate with police, etc is her only chance at redemption.Putting aside the fact that this was important to do on the defence's side, if I was a proven and repeated liar throughout my own criminal trial, and I decided to give evidence on the witness stand, would that enhance my credibility given the background evidence already presented at my trial?
Thank you.She’s Simon’s family’s PR
You would have to have sociopathic traits to do what she did...In my opinion narcissism is the least of the issues. A very rare combination of Sociopathy and bpd are more likely, in my non psychological and non medical opinion.
I expected her to take the stand. She cannot tell 'her version' of events without taking the stand.I’m shocked, I didn’t expect this.
BBM : I wonder if there is any evidence of this.12m ago08.02 BST
What the jury heard today
Here’s a recap of what the jury heard on day 24 of Patterson’s trial.
- Patterson entered the witness box to begin testifying in her triple murder trial. Members of the Patterson and Wilkinson families, including Ian Wilkinson, were in the court.
- The accused said in the months prior to the July 2023 lunch she felt her relationship with the Patterson family, particularly her in-laws Don and Gail, had “a bit more distance”. She said from the start of 2023 her relationship with her estranged husband, Simon, was “functional” and the pair communicated mainly about logistical matters.
- Patterson had a “never-ending battle of low self-esteem” for most of her adult life, she told the court. She said around the time of the lunch she was planning to have gastric bypass surgery for weight loss.
- Defence lawyer Colin Mandy SC asked his client about the tension in her relationship with Simon, which involved multiple separations between 2009 and 2015. She said the pair “just couldn’t communicate well” when they had a disagreement. “We would just feel hurt,” she said.
- The prosecution closed its case on Monday afternoon before Patterson entered the witness box. She has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The prosecution only gets to ask her about the questions the defense already asked---Am I correct?Oh, to be a fly on the wall. This will be interesting!! I can not wait to hear her answers to everything the prosecution puts forth. Every. Last. Question.
HERS, imo. lolI wonder whose idea it was that Erin will testify?
But at the end of the day, they probably don’t have much to lose and the decision is hers alone
And all the lies, where is the other phone etcI want to read her answer to why she threw out the dehydrator.
Exactly, this part is very much within her control. Cross-examination maybe not so much. I’m definitely expecting tears!Let the prosecutors get her away from her sob story, which is what she wants... Poor me.!
And hit her with the tough questions, out of her comfort zone
