One thing I did pick up on, was mention of a lengthy statement from Erin that was leaked.

Does anybody know where I see this? Apparently it had things like the bulimia that she didn't mention.

When (or approx when) was this leaked?

What does that mean?
Ugh! In this instance means yeah I agree. Ugh! Yes, listening to the podcaat made me go ughh or blah, pretty much! I felt really uncomfortable when Rachael was relaying what the accused said like it was fact. I shifted in my seat. It was offal!

They were talking about her statement to police in August 2023. But it did not mention bulimia or vomit.

I don't know EP and I'm thankful for that. Whether she did this or not (gaslighted about this), I'll leave unanswered, but one trick of successful liars gas lighters) is to admit to something possibly embarrassing in order to gain credibility with the listener. IMO EP isn't and wasn't ever battling bulimia but by claiming it did two things -- deflect accusations that she ate a clean BW (magically vomiting up the toxin) and reveal that she things bulimia is sufficiently embarrassing and no one will press further). Here, unbelievably, it was the jury she thought she could gaslight.

Ironic that all along there was cctv at the bin at the time she was supposed to be binging on and purging cake. With that video suppressed and no rebuttal from the prosecution, she knew she was free to invent the bulimia narrative, unchecked.

IME with people like EP, you never get to the truth because they continuously shift the lies.

Thanks for this.

Is there actually a transcript version of it anywhere?

Looking at it from the perspective we know now, it's interesting how she says she was actually hospitalised too and given a liver protective drug.

This shows how manipulative she can be with the facts. Yes she went to hospital, but she was hardly hospitalised because she was so unwell which is the clear implication here.

On my deep dive into this … I learned that the cell structure of mushrooms (chitin) is “difficult” to digest and release toxins. mushroom would remain in stomach a while, before moving along to small intestine with some parts remaining un digested.
But if powdered, they would be more easily & quickly digested & absorbed. Fatal dosage might be lower if powdered as more absorbed more quickly. I’d be certain there is no research into powdered dose.
How diabolically evil.

As I've always said, regardless of whether you think she is guilty or not, had they not had receipts or CCTV from the tip we all know we'd have no knowledge about the dehydrator.

This raises questions of what else we don't know about.

I’m sure this has been covered many times upthread so apologies but how in the WORLD did the cctv footage of her at the recycling centre 30 mins after the lunch not go before the jury ?

I think there's a genuine question here of whether they knew.

I only say because it wasn't included in the official list of visits to the tip.

Was it clear exactly what she disposed of? When she got rid of the dehydrator, they recovered it and were able to process it for evidence.

But there's nothing illegal about disposing of cardboard. If they couldn't prove what she threw away, the defense would make short work of it.

They found evidence she went on the website in 2022 but didn't find any evidence for 2023. But her phone was in the area of DC sightings in 2023 soon after it was reported on iNaturalist on 2 occasions, once in April (10 days after) and once in May (1 day after).
That makes sense. If she had used incognito mode on her browser in 2023 it would have been much more difficult to figure out what sites she accessed, especially if she destroyed phone A.

She probably never realized that her website visits from back in 2022 would still be accessible to the authorities.

It wasn't just cardboard but some binbags too.

The sheer timing of this should have been incriminating, especially as Erin has never mentioned it in her account of that day.

She went the tip 7 times in a year. She just so happened to go that day as well. It's circumstantial but it adds to the overall picture.

But is the issue also here that her story of eating the orange cake and purging is clearly a big fat lie ?

But if they didn't recover what she threw away, it could have been anything, which is what the defense would say.

They actually recovered the dehydrator and proved through testing that it was hers and that it retained traces of the toxin.

We can speculate all we like that it was possibly (probably) incriminating evidence of the lunch, but without the actual items, there's not much point raising it at trial. The dehydrator was much stronger evidence of consciousness of guilt.

I've never seen a complete transcript. ABC might even be the only source that has the statement.

I also listened to the last Mushroom Case Daily episode. That was my first time, and yeah Rachel was very generous to Erin. The others were better but they also got some things wrong about the trial. There was an interesting point made though, but it was from a listener email. They remarked about how when Erin was asked about what was in her vomit she said you can't see anything unless there's maybe some corn or beans. But that sounds more commonly like what you would say if you were talking about what comes out your other end. Which might be unusual for someone who claims to be a habitual purger. Because there are lots of foods you can see in your vomit. You can also taste what came up.

Apologies for the visuals. 🤢💩
Yes, I only listened to the last episode in full (It’s all that I could stomach) and all of the hosts did get things wrong about the trial. Very poor.

That suggests to me that she was using a Windows PC for those searches, rather than a phone.

Possibly, but I use a browser on my phone so not necessarily.

The Edge browser has been available for iOS and Android since 2017, so she could have used her phone. It's not a very popular app though and she'd have to download it specifically. So, I suspect you're right that the 2022 searches at least were on a PC.

Oh, I was one of the people who said the death wall wasn't 'weird', but apparently, it wasn't a once off.

Yes, I feel stupid for not thinking it was weirder at the time. She has form!
The tradesperson saw and photographed it in 2022, but I don't believe we know when the art was done. The son was born in 2009 and the daughter was born in 2014, so the kids were at most 13 and 8 when it was done. I'm trying to figure out if the kids would have been tall enough to do much of the higher-up art.
