It's plain wrong that Simon wasn't allowed to tell the whole truth. The fact that he suspected she had been poisoning him shaped his whole world and his relationship with Erin. It's enough that charges were dropped because they could prejudice the jury, but a husband's suspicions are not in the same league as charges against her. It skewed reality so far the other way as to have imperiled justice being served for these victims, had the jury decided she had no motive and no intent or malice and this must have been an accident. The court cleansed a scheming wicked poisoner with a husband who actually feared for his life before the incident that killed his family. I am incensed that the jury was given a sanitised version of her dealings with Simon, that her internet searches about poisons were hidden from them, and so too was her trip to the tip right after the lunch. How dare they suggest she had no such plates in her house as the victims saw. She was allowed to get away with lying about her actions after the lunch, and the prosecution could say nothing!

Simon's experience would have explained his, in the circumstances, very reasonable and measured texts to her about being glad she was well enough to drive etc. but it made him seem callous and uncaring without the context. Even the hospital doctors weren't allowed to share what his own doctor had shared with them. This is justice skewed too far in the corner of a dangerous killer.

All in my opinion

That's what her money paid for - the best of the best!
For a moment, I think she nearly got off. Before she took the stand, I think there was some reasonable doubt. Can you imagine if that happened? All because so much of the crucial evidence was withheld due to expensive legal arguments?

Someone on legal aid would not be able to fight so hard. Someone without a couple of million bucks also wouldn't be able to. It's another abuse of the process, IMO. She is an absolute nightmare.

Yes, they are obviously still smelling her money, talking about an appeal.

I still think the prosecution should have proceeded against her for the one attempt on Simon's life at the lunch. To me that would have atoned for the previous attempts being dropped, and given Simon something in the way of justice. They obviously can't resurrect charges against her, even if they had the legal means to do so, because with her convictions now that would prejudice the case. So separating the trials was never a realistic option.

I blame the judges in this case, not the fancy pants lawyers.

It's lucky, not inevitable, that she was found guilty, in the circumstances. IMO

Poor Anna. She wasn't as unsuspecting as the victims. Nobody could quite believe that Erin would poison them all.
So many "if only's" in this tragic case.

Oh really? Because the Keli Lane group was the first online true crime she joined - from what I understand.

Which true crime groups?

She was in a William Tyrrell group I am in. I don't know when she joined but that group kicked off in 2014.

From what I understand about Autism is that those with it have difficulty interacting socially, understanding social cues.

It seems to me that having autism and being a master of manipulation (as Erin seems to be) would be mutually exclusive.
It’s a spectrum, there are those who who are socially inept in different ways, some seem out social norms and some avoid them.
Some are sensory seekers, others are not.
One description does not fit all.

I definitely agree. I think the Autism was a cover story, and I am the only person she told she has Autism.

Re: these 'rumours' about Autism floating around.

There's a woman from our group who has taken a lot of the private conversations Erin and I had, and Erins other friends had with her, and is using them for content and sharing it with all of the journalists. She didn't ever have one conversation with Erin personally, so this is why it's all being shared as clickbait and is out of context.

Erin told me a lot of very deep things about her life, I think, because I asked and probed her due to her odd behaviour. She didn't tell anyone else very deep things about her life, they mostly had a more superficial conversation and joked around.

I found her behaviour very strange from near the beginning of knowing her, especially after one minor disagreement I had with her in the group (publicly) and Erin responded in a very hysterical over the top way.

She then confided some things about her exes and I was alarmed. I pulled right back from talking to her.

Erin then apologised to me (only after I refused to back down), and tried to explain that it is because she has Autism and can't relate to people very well. I didn't believe it then, and I don't believe it now.

Hmm . . . I hope those exes went to ground and no-contact, otherwise they are probably lucky to be in the land of the living, imo.

We are advised to not diagnose people whom we never saw in person, so if Erin had ever been formally diagnosed with autism, and knows and shares it, I’d take it without questioning. Autism is such a broad spectrum with so many different genosets and symptoms, that it may not have that much predictive value in terms of behavior. Surely EP knew good from bad or right from wrong.

What is interesting in your story to me would be her irritability (not a part of autism per se).

Also, I can’t shed off what she shared about the inhabitants of her town who she wrote the small leaflet for. It was very degrading. And then, didn’t she like her father-in-law because they were able to discuss science? But she poisoned him all the same.

These two families were totally expendable to her. I wonder if this is how she views most people. Below her level, hence, expendable. And this has nothing to do with mental illness per se. It is inflated ego and hubris.

How does this reconcile with the fact that the judge ordered for a split into seperate trials?

He must be condoming a second trial on the alleged poisoning attempts on Simon, would he not?

Did you share content with the media, or are they just using your name without approval? Can media use people's names without permission?

She actually is very charming in text. None of us met her in person which is another way she managed to sculpt her persona.

Even her “best friends” she only lived within 30 minutes drive of, yet never met them. I’m sure that was to disguise who she really is.

In our group we all shared videos of ourselves, she didn’t. On purpose.
Hearing all this has me hugely concerned for her children, and their mental well-being.

One can’t help but wonder what they may have been exposed / subjected to in their short years, what type of guidance they received etc. … ..

Combine that with the disruptions & challenges of the last few years - from the loss of their grandparents, to charges being laid against their mother for being responsible for their death
Now they have to deal with the fact that she is a convicted multiple murderer.

Are they receiving appropriate support ?

I wonder whether Simon has been able to build a relationship with his son, whether his daughter can move past the ‘female example’ she had, and whether both of them will find strong, supportive & encouraging role models on which to build the lives ahead of them. 🙏

On top of all this they have lost their grandparents. 😕

No, as another poster has stated I too recall spotting her in a William Tyrell Group but I don't think she was too active there from memory.

She was in a group called Exposed - Unofficial around the time that started in October 2018.

Then there was a breakaway group that formed about December 2018 called Uncensored.

And then Keep Keli Lane Behind Bars/Vinegar 🤬🤬🤬🤬/Justice for Mel and Nana/Keep Keli Lane Behind Bars formed in around January 2019.

There was also Keli Lane: The Real Truth and nothing but the truth which formed late 2018 from memory.

There was also that Wicked/Problem Child Podcast group from about March 2019.

Many years ago I was in a few different crime groups and I always found them very toxic, with a lot of in-house fighting and abuse from the admins.
Yes, my experience too, unfortunately.

I think the true crime groups are worse on Facebook these days, not just with the Admins but the commenters there, especially now many groups allow anonymous posts. I stay well away. I was never very active in these groups anyway.

Wow - thanks for the list! That is fascinating.
