A pretty good summary of Patterson's history here published in the open article on the ABC's website on 7 July.

I had missed this [bbm]:

in 2022, Simon filed a tax return where he listed himself as single — the result of a mix-up with his accountant, he said.

I wonder if EP had previously done SP's taxes until the 2022 financial year because she was a Book Keeper/Accountant? Perhaps another element of losing her control over Simon and his new-found freedom? Maybe even the catalyst for her perceived need for revenge?

There was an article about this. About how that's really common with poisoners. Meticulous planning over a long period of time, often for some kind of revenge. Then they lose it after the murder is done because they didn't plan that part.

Thanks for that @Eloise , an interesting read. (The article posted previously was paywalled and I couldn't access it)

RSBM

“They [poisoners] think up to when the murder happens, and then there’s not a lot of thought about, ‘How am I going to handle this afterwards?’”

It seems the eye was on the prize for her, and she didn't plan for consequences, imo.

Good to hear that the other inmates see through her and aren't mesmerized by her. Was slightly worried she'd become leader of the pack in prison and have groupies like she did in real life.
Give her time. She is a master manipulator, imo.

Pick me, pick me! She feels no remorse, She wanted them dead- including Ian and Simon. That was the plan. Revenge was her sole motive.

I've watched this fully now, and it certainly raised some interesting questions.

I didn't quite buy the idea that each BW would necessarily require 100g of DC to murder them. I tried to Chatgpt this and it suggested that the fatal dosage can be a lot less than this, and you could easily get it from a single mushroom.

Also, 100g of DC in powder form (approx 10g) is still a lot to hide.

However, even if 30g was added to each, this does a good job of demonstrating there'd be quite a lot of it. Certainly enough to be picked out by the mushroom expert.
I've seen at least 2 references to 50gm of death cap mushrooms per person being the amount that would likely kill you. 5 intended victims = 250gm of death caps required. If they lose 90% of their weight when dehydrated, that then becomes 25gm of dehydrated death caps to do the job. Crush 25gm of dehydrated death caps, and it literally becomes just a sprinkle. I bet she either didn't do the maths, or sprinkled the allotted amount, decided it was way too little, and added a heap more to be sure.

Tonight. 8.20 pm, Channel 7, Spotlight: about EP.
In trailer, mentions previous ............. activities.
I don't wish to mention, what was said about activities, as ?? problem for me.
So, watch if you can.

I've noticed Scooby-Doo has mentioned this above.

Frankly, I'm not expecting anything new. <modsnip>

And I'm not sure when there were ever "crocodile tears streaming down her face".

Frankly, I'm not expecting anything new. My guess is that what is being referred to by previous behaviour relates to the charges of attempted murder which were dropped.
I think you might be right.
I was shocked with the trailer, and I've been here, since the start.
BUT I FORGOT!!!!!!!

Personally, I don't think it was a mixup. JMO.

The death wall isn’t under suppression order. That’s what I predict it will be.

Oh, I was one of the people who said the death wall wasn't 'weird', but apparently, it wasn't a once off.

Yes, I feel stupid for not thinking it was weirder at the time. She has form!

Just looks like something her kids have done, a bit strange but maybe nothing to it, imo

Yes her text messages with Don show it, IMO.

"All I wanted was for you to be aware of what's going on and to care about what's going on and perhaps encourage Simon to do the right thing by his children. However if you don't want to get involved even to that extent I respect that and I will find a way to manage this situation on my own"

Suddenly she gave up and they were out of the picture, and she would be on her own, when the death caps grew.

Isn't that under a Suppression Order?

Hardly. It's been in the media for ages.

What you may be thinking of is that the judge told the jury to disregard the charges that were dismissed.

Justice Christopher Beale said in his instructions to the jury that Patterson was no longer accused of attempting to murder her estranged husband.

He told the jury those charges had been discontinued, and that they should remove any consideration of these previous charges.

It is actually under a suppression order for Australians.

I’m waiting for the TV show tonight to get some more understanding / context about the wall.

IMO
