Just the fact that the loving mother might be experimenting with a strong poison in her house, in the presence of two kids, is a verifiable indicator of EP being absolutely nuts.

She bonds with Don Patterson over shared love of science. They even experimented in his backyard, if I remember correctly. It is reasonable to assume that at least one of the kids inherited her scientific inclinations as well? In the meantime, in the house, there is a dehydrator used to dehydrate death caps, something to pulverize them, then leftovers of poisonous beef, then something on red plate for herself. What if one of the kids wants to test the dehydrator? You turn your house into a poisonous lab and the kids come home from a movie?

This is the thing though, she didn't leave her home in a poisonous state that put her kids at risk. This speaks to the meticulous planning that went into the murders. She had it all covered. One thing that wasn't covered by her, as she didn't know about it so couldn't account for it, is that SP *already* suspected she may have been poisoning him.

It does make one wonder what would have happened if the kids had come home from the cinema for some reason,
ie not seen the film, and come into the kitchen to chat with the relatives and tried a bit of their BW? EP had that sort of covered by saying she needed the children gone so as to have a vital private adult conversation. All the same, there could have been a random unpredictable event that caused all the cinema goers to cancel mission and return back to the house, she'd have then been left with a houseful of children plus four guests with poison on their plates and utensils.

She also reset Phone B on Wed 2/8 at 11.09am. Then turned up at the tip to dump the dehydrator 20 minutes later. The cover-up had begun.

Interesting. A 20 year non-parole period for murder. I wonder how he will sentence EP for 3 murders, and one attempted murder?

Surely life without parole?

If it's a light sentence, ie a non-parole period of less than 30 years there will be public outrage, and the Prosecution will appeal the sentence imo.

I think the only appropriate sentence is life without parole.

Her perjury, evidence tampering, etc make it more aggravated and even if she was to fake some remorse at the sentencing hearing which she won’t because she can’t admit she’s done it, the fact she’s killed 3 people and nearly a 4th with such long term planning demands life without parole. IMO

I have no doubt it will be Life Without Parole, 3 people died a horrendous death & very nearly another who went thru a horrendous time & no doubt will have ongoing health issues directly related to the harm caused by Erin Patterson!

I’m going to guess maybe 90 years without parole but maybe I’m just being optimistic?

Yeah, I don't read that as him initially saying yes. I read it as she tried very hard to persuade him, he never said yes, and she kept trying.

So I got curious and had a look at Erin's Instagram account, I had a look through who she follows to try and get an idea of her interests and one in particular stood out to me. It's called something along the lines of 'yourgirlfriendisnotamodel'. I had a quick scan of the account and the only reason I can think of that she would follow something like that is low self esteem issues and a desire to look down on others to make herself feel better. To me it's a clear example of how spiteful and mean she truly is but this is all JMO.

Ordinarily, yes, but in this case she knew the kids had not consumed any DC mushrooms.

Yes, but she only knew that because she was an unfit mother that had poisoned her kid's grandparents.

IMO, her claim that she didn't want to alarm the kids would have triggered any doctor in the circumstances.

I agree. And EP would still be very dangerous if she was released after 20 or so years, imo.
