How is the media's use of the police recording going to be unfair and inaccurate?

It's her own untruthful replies that are inaccurate, and unfair to the victims.

JMO

Yep, there she is clutching at straws, yet again.

I love that. It was like she was saying don't make my interview public so other people can comment on it, but I can dispute in my estranged husband's evidence as well as my children's because I can. And look it was her trial, she could do that, but it's pretty poor optics imo

She would have known that they would be looking for leftovers when they got ill. It would have looked more suspicious had she have disposed of literally everything.

In fact, it is arguably more suspicious that there was one in there that was without any of the poison.

No point throwing out the plates then 🤷‍♀️

Don't anyone try to tell me that she didn't poison Simon on all of those occasions previously. 🤨

But she did...

Regardless, in answer to MaxDecimus13's point (She would have known that they would be looking for leftovers when they got ill.) my point stands. If she kept the leftovers because they would have been looking for them then throwing out the plates is a red flag.

So what are you implying? Surely after all of this you still don't believe that she's innocent? 🤔

Oh boy!

Not implying anything, don't believe she is innocent. Why can't people discuss aspects of the case without being accused of having a certain view?

Am i remembering this correctly- didnt Erin say that shed been going to use the mushrooms for a bolognase but they smelled too strong so she saved them for something else?

Finding out she likely poisoned Simon with a bolognase certainly puts this in a new light.

Like maybe that was actually true after all!

Unless im misremembering what she said in the trial.

I recall the words "pasta dish" being used. Not sure if that meant a rich, tomato based bolognaise or a creamy white sauce, or something else all together.

Keeping the left overs when we know she was at the tip immediately after the lunch is odd for certain.

Maybe she thought she'd dispose of them down the toilet or something but wasnt expecting to be asked to produce them by the hospital and didn't have time?

Its so odd indeed how comfortable she was having deadly substances in the household with her children.

It was a Carbonara

"She said she was going to use them in a carbonara but when she opened them they had a very strong smell. She put them in a Tupperware container," Ms Cripps said.

I don’t think it’s strange at all. She had leftovers because she was going to kill Simon with the leftover pie later that day when he dropped the daughter home or at another time.

Chris Webster or someone at the hospital probably asked about leftovers on the Monday which is why she raced home to get busy staging the leftovers, imo. She didn’t want anyone near that butlers pantry because it housed the dehydrator.

All of her actions post lunch clearly show, to me, lack of planning except for the immediate trip to the tip after the lunch. That’s because she had not anticipated anyone suspecting poison. IMO

Yes, I have read the document in its entirety, along with maybe (7?) others in relation to the trial.

Yes, the prejudicial assessment goes both ways.

Due to the lack of evidence to support Simons illnesses being a direct result of poisoning, this could have substantially sabotaged the outcome of the murder trial.

On the other hand, had the charges for the attempts on Simon gone to trial, the risk of prejudicial assessment was too great following a conviction of Erin.

No matter how we flip it, it looks the same on either side. There is simply a lack of evidence to support the case and uphold a trial.

The third and fourth charges regarding Simon and examined by Professor Bersten were identified as potentially secondary in relation to the illness described in the second charge.
Of course nobody really knows if someone is guilty or not guilty of a crime until the court hands down a judgement.
We know for one thing that Erin is a multiple murderer and an outright liar.
Whether she tried to kill Simon five times by putting poison in his tucker is up for debate and everyone is allowed to have an opinion on this and that's what I'm doing now.
Personally, I think it's good to have people come up with a different viewpoint and angle.

Do you know where it says the hospital asked Erin to produce the leftovers.
That would have certainly put the wind up her.
But I believe she did say she fed her kids the leftovers.
So did she chuck them out or feed them to her kids with the death caps scraped off?

For the non-Aussies, tucker means food. :-)

If she fed the kids the leftovers they would be dead.

Dr Webster got the police to pick up leftovers when they did a welfare check at her house.

Perhaps they would have had a fighting chance given they would have consumed the death caps approx. 30hrs after Don, Gail, Heather and Ian, and would have received treatment the following day.

Ian survived thank God and I have wondered if Don, Gail and Heather's treatment had of commenced Sunday night might they have had a different outcome. All very sad to reflect on.

Did the police pick up the leftovers like Dr Webster asked?
If she had already got rid of the leftovers and police weren't able to collect them, then why did Erin go to court saying she fed leftovers to the kids or did she say she fed them to the kids sometime before police arrived.

And just another thing, I take it there will be no appeal. Is that right?

I have never believed she fed the children leftovers from the beef Wellingtons.
My thoughts were by leftovers, she was referring to the extra steaks she purchased for the lunch.
Did Police check her freezer?
Any photos of the contents?
I think she lied about the scraping off of mushrooms.
