The toxicology report for the leftovers shows the two positive results. The samples were also photographed and shared in the link I provided.

There were only two trays and two positive results in the leftovers report.

Could you please post the links for the photos that you post at the time that you post them? It would be helpful and perhaps provide more info for us to read regarding the info in your post. (Edit: thank you for then adding the link)

I am going to have to agree to disagree about your two trays, as I have read (and quoted) otherwise. Four trays.

I do not believe it can be stated - from photos and links provided - that the toxin was taken from the half beef wellington only (or at all). Which is what I think the conversation was about. The examiners have indicated that the mixing of the samples was not ideal.

imo

There are two parts to the gallery, both available via the one link.

This includes photos of ALL the toxicology reports, the samples and the two Wellingtons removed from the bin.

There are over 200 photos.

Yes, I have now looked through them all. The photo of the whole beef wellington (tray one) and the half beef wellington (tray two) do not show alignment with either toxic vial.

Toxic vial EX X1 Z13 (mushroom paste) - from your previous linked photo
Toxic vial EX X1 Z16 (meat sample) - from your previous linked photo

Neither toxic vial is stated in the leftovers photo. It is not clear where they are from. Perhaps from the other two trays of mixed samples. imo

He is a victim.

He is not a primary victim. Im sorry, it’s crap I know.

Erin Patterson poisoned him on 4 occasions and murdered his parents and aunt. Of course he's a victim!

You do realise that the jury has found her guilty behind reasonable doubt, right?

Are you trying to go back in time and exonerate her?
It certainly appears that way...

Can you elaborate how these toxicology results containing dc’s will see her exonerated?

Thank you. That is much clearer. Though there is still the issue of cross contamination in the finding and bagging and time taken for transportation. The samples were not separated until later. They were not "clean" samples.

The court heard that leftovers were collected from two different places in Erin Patterson's home, but were put into one bag.
Dr Gerostamoulos said it was not an ideal way to receive the samples.

Yes and that would be difficult even with her testimony.

Why?
The 6th beef Wellington was found intact in her bin, with her own partly eaten portion.

The 6th beef Wellington did NOT contain death caps.

If it were meant for Simon, it was not meant to kill him.

Leftover beef Wellington was made for estranged husband, jury told

ByMarta Pascual Juanola
Prosecutor Nanette Rogers, SC, has told jurors they should reject Erin Patterson’s suggestion she served her children leftovers of beef Wellington with the mushrooms scraped off, and that instead the leftovers were found by police in a bin at her Leongatha home.

“The prosecution suggests that this is the beef Wellington that the accused [went] to the trouble of making [and] was intended for Simon Patterson,” Rogers said in her closing address.

Rogers said Erin Patterson gave evidence that if her estranged husband had attended lunch on July 29, 2023 she would have served him a beef Wellington too.

“The prosecution case is had Simon Patterson changed his mind and decided to attend the lunch after all, he too would have been served that sixth, poisonous beef Wellington,” the prosecutor said.

I haven't read the thread for awhile and have just read the last few pages.
I'm so confused. 😕

And yes I have finally come around to thinking that what happened was planned and not an accident.
I've been doing a lot of reading up on what was not allowed to be heard and I am convinced.

Can I come back into the fold now :)

Can you explain further though? I’m trying to understand how the half portion containing dcs would help her case?

Don't forget she was in a panic at this stage and was already making bad decisions. She had lied about never owning a dehydrator despite leaving behind a manual and photographs.

She might simply have decided at that point that it would look worse if she didn't direct them to leftovers and they subsequently found them. She then clearly invented the Asian grocer fiasco.

It seems clear to me that she never anticipated that DC would be suspected, and was quite careless. Perhaps she was emboldened by the times she'd poisoned Simon and how nothing had subsequently been found.

The daughter wasn’t home, the boy was with a friend in his room.

*not implying that this makes the situation ok of course.

Surely this makes it less likely that she would go without saying anything?

Yes. We are aware Simon was invited and he absolutely would have been served a beef Wellington.

However (most surprising for me, out for the four attempted charges) the beef Wellington lunch murder attempt was dropped due to an absence of evidence.

It’s a rough system for sure.

It wasn’t really about absence of evidence

Triple murderer Erin Patterson would have been unfairly prejudiced if a jury heard allegations she tried to kill her estranged husband in the years before the fatal poison mushroom lunch.

Victorian supreme court justice Christopher Beale made the decision on 14 March, ruling Patterson would have to face a separate trial for the three alleged attempted Murder charges.

I must have missed something. Do we know that she didn't say anything?

Maybe she did say something, and her son lied for her when questioned by police or maybe he forgot?

It wasn't mentioned in her son's testimony.

from: Erin Patterson took son on hours-long drive despite feeling sick, murder trial hears — as it happened

Erin's son can't recall speaking to his mother about the lunch

By Tim Callanan

He says he spent about 30 minutes with the lunch guests and he agrees that "everyone seems happy" when asked by the interviewing police officer.

Erin's son says he can't remember his sister coming inside and his sister wasn't in the car when Erin drove his friend home.

He says he didn't have any conversation with his mother about how the lunch went after the guests left.

He says he presumes his mother was tidying up the kitchen and he remembers taking some lunch plates to the dishwasher. He says he can't remember if there was any leftovers on the plates.

Erin's son says he and his friend played a game with headphones on for about two or two and a half hours and can't remember taking any toilet or drink breaks.

He says he went upstairs around 5.30pm to tell his mother his friend had to go home soon. They left the home shortly after to take his friend home.

Playback of the recording is then paused while the court takes a break.
