Given her personality, I think there is basically zero chance she won't exhaust every avenue she can. IMO

In that case bring it on, and pass the popcorn.

I think she was just so used to being in control & thought she could sweet talk her way out & say it was all just a accident & woe is me .

She knew alot of incriminating evidence was deemed inadmissible in pre-trial rulings too. She really only needed one juror to believe her.

But she was so wrong, her taking the stand was her un-dooing IMO

I think this too. Maybe it's a self induced trap that Narcs fall into over time. They get so used to controlling and manipulating other people with their stupid lies, they think it applies across the board.

What they don't realise is that people who don't believe them and don't trust them or aren't falling for it, they just quietly and politely move away. Most people don't hang around to have a confrontation and get into dispute.

Narcs take total control of their partners who are usually 'nice' and agreeable, low conflict people who don't have a bad bone in their body so they wouldn't suspect the manipulations and games. Narcs have total control of their own innocent children who are born into the situation and have no way of knowing. If they run their own businesses or deploy staff, those people do what they're told for money, maybe gritting teeth and rolling eyes. The Narc misrepresents themselves on social media and pulls off a false online persona.

So Narc over time, years, has embedded themself into the cocoon of their own making where nobody is challenging them. They mistakenly think that is called 'reality'. It's not reality. Step out of it and they find that people will disagree with them, argue them, dispute facts, call them out.

I believe that EP was so pathologically stuck in her groove where she'd been calling the shots for decades, that she didn't realise you can't just kill a bunch of people and fib about it and nobody will challenge that. She'd gone in deep into her falsely created fantasy world where she had total control IMO. In this regard NPD is a form of delusional disorder. Also in this regard, this is why it's quite important to challenge wrongdoing and deception at the time you notice it, IMO.

From her kid's perspective, I think they are better off not having anything to do with her.

Not only that, they need 'de-programming' the same as people who've been raised in cults. IMO

But given the care with which the court guarded against any accusation of prejudice, what grounds could she have for appeal? It's not just up to her personality what happens next, fortunately.

There is always something - if you look hard enough. IMO

There are a lot of smart people in this thread, but you are one of the best.

Her narc empire seemed to be really flourishing online, ah, if only reality weren’t so… real.

She can pay a lawyer to lodge an appeal, but does she not still have to get leave to appeal?

She still needs to get leave to appeal, but I think she is so dogmatic that she will have them poring over every single detail to find a problem in the case, and if you look hard enough and throw enough resources at it, you will find them - human error, technical legal issues, anything that could even suggest that the trial was prejudiced. Sadly these psychopaths are massive malingerers in the court system. No doubt she will also do legal degrees in there and employ as many flying monkeys she can. It's despicable, but as the worst category of abuser in society, - a DV mass murderer, I would not be surprised if she never gives up. IMO

I've said it before but this case is shockingly similar to that of Sarah Boone nee Paulson in the USA who tortured and murdered her partner, tricking him into getting inside a suitcase, rendering him trapped and beating him with a baseball bat, pushing him down stairs inside the case, and leaving him to die over several hours of suffocation, pleading and crying for help.

She turned down a 15 year plea deal. She went through 8 lawyers. She's serving life with no parole.

Thanks for this - I haven't heard of that case. Going to look!

This is my impact statement and I’m a bystander who is not directly affected.
When those among us commit heinous crimes it hurts us all.
This person chose to plan and act on those plans to serve poison to others.
She watched them consume the poison meal she had prepared knowing it would wound them, cause immense painful suffering and eventual death.
This crime hurts us all because it creates a ripple effect of fear and trauma within our communities, undermining social trust and sense of safety. It makes us question who we are as humans. This heinous act hurts us all.

Such a salient point. The amount of coldness it requires to watch people consuming their own murder plot is just so non human and obscene. IMO

Agreed, it would not be surprising if she never gives up. But she is no longer dealing with innocents and the court system is not, IMO, going to allow an appeal on a trivial issue.
I hope not, anyway!

This kind of disregard for the sanctity of human life and care for others is what corrupts society. Look at the animals on earth who work together and have evolved to live in communities. We can’t survive unless we cooperate and help each other. It ain’t rocket science…

I'd be interested to hear what you make of the fact that one of the leftovers didn't test positive for toxins.

What would your theory be as to why that happened?

I am yet to form a solid theory for the events following the lunch. Based on the available evidence and imo:

•Erin had no intention of hiding the leftovers
•Erin did not dispose of the plates
•The leftovers contained two parcels, one parcel did not contain toxins. We will call this “Parcel A”
•Imo the steak was removed from Parcel A and fed to her children
•Imo Parcel A was originally meant for Simon

I am unable to source a toxicology report containing the results for a meat sample from Parcel A. If anyone has this information I would appreciate it.

One hole I’m finding challenging is motive. I’ve played with the idea Simon had perhaps found a new love interest (or Erin at least believed he had) but surely this would have been confirmed or denied at this stage.

I'm not trying to catch you out or anything, I'm genuinely interested. From what I can see, you are picking holes in the established narrative of what happened without trying to proclaim her innocence.

Catch me out for what?

I can see how it would appear I am picking holes. Occasionally speculation doesn’t track when I examine the evidence/the legal documents and I mostly reference these.

Providing the tests are reliable, then the no-DC sample is pretty damning for EP IMO, as it essentially proves tampering. However, I'd be interested to know how you think they could have got there considering it would have been a significant oversight on the part of EP.

An incredible oversight, so much so I simply don’t believe the leftovers were a “plant.”
