For the majority of murderers they actually 'see' their victims dead, they did it, they see the end result as it were, what they caused to happen to those innocent people.

Then they walk away from the death scene carrying that picture in their minds. End of story so to speak. Be it by a knife, a gun, strangulation, even killed by their car.

But with Erin she will never carry in her the picture of their deaths. She never saw them at their homes starting to be violently ill, the fear they felt, the eventual being rushed to hospital in a dreadful and painful state.

Her part of course was to feed them the poisoned mushrooms, job done.

I reckon she has never, and will never carry even a trace of guilt of the evil she caused as she never actually saw it all from the start to the finish of their eventual horrible and painful demise.

With that in mind she will never admit her guilt, she will always be a danger in society and she will never carry any remorse. I hope she will never ever walk this land again.

IMO she's left them with the unsettling brainwashed of rethinking every meal, every illness, wondering now what was real and what wasn't. A mother who undermines her children's very foundation and unsteadies their perspective is not a good mother.

She murdered the children's grandparents, for her own perceived slights. And what if, as teenagers, the children wanted to live with dad? Or if he remarried, wanted a box relationship with the new stepmom? Or went off go college and didn't invite her to something?

How do you perfectly people-please someone who is as inherently fragile, flawed and controlling as EP?

Yet... her children may have been her next targets if she wasn't caught if they did anything to anger her. There's been more than one criminal who harms their family members, some even do murder their children, yet they were once described as "Super Moms". Examples that come to mind: Casey Anthony, Susan Smith, Diane Staudte, Stacy Castor, Ruby Franke, Sherri Papini. And keep in mind, Erin DID sneak mushrooms into her kids food.

It is an interesting question. She had explosive anger. Was she the same way with the kids, too? I hope we’ll find out one day.

Just to point out that the one on one is only for 8 hours, not 8 weeks.

I guess they have to be seen to be re-training him in specific aspects - even though the community gave him hugs and are glad he is keeping his practice in Leongatha. (as per the article)

Totally agree. In the circumstances any rightly concerned doctor under such pressure could be excused for correctly describing the murderous psychopath named Erin Patterson.

I don't have enough money to be a websleuths guardian but I'll bet all the money Mandy has made in legal fees for handling this case that Erin will not be successful in appealing either her sentence or conviction and that bet in horse racing terms is called a sure thing.
It's absolutely ludicrous IMO that she and her team may even be contemplating such a ludicrous idea. Preposterous!
Just quietly rot in jail Erin, I don't think anyone wants to see your damned face again.

We learned that the murderer did see Heather and Ian being treated in hospital. And at this time, she totally distanced herself. Didn’t even acknowledge their presence. Dr Webster heard her name and thought, “ Oh, this is the person who cooked the meal.”

Yes, Dr Webster’s quick thinking in treating Ian and Heather may have saved Ian’s life? Who knows? On hearing from the doctor treating Don and Gail he quickly changed treatment to focus on their livers and arranged transfer to another hospital. And Dr Webster certainly helped in getting the police onto this quickly with the welfare check etc.
