I don't have enough money to be a websleuths guardian but I'll bet all the money Mandy has made in legal fees for handling this case that Erin will not be successful in appealing either her sentence or conviction and that bet in horse racing terms is called a sure thing.
It's absolutely ludicrous IMO that she and her team may even be contemplating such a ludicrous idea. Preposterous!
Just quietly rot in jail Erin, I don't think anyone wants to see your damned face again.
It’s only $3US a month.

I'm looking for an excuse and I know you don't have to but it's not just Erin, it's also me as nobody wants to see my face even if it is just once a month for the chat session.
But if someone bets me to say they think Erin will have a successful appeal then I will use my winnings towards having everyone become a fully paid Websleuths Guardian for life.
And then the faces will be so small on the screen that I may even join in the chat with Tricia.

I bet you a trillion dollars that her appeal won’t succeed 😅

Notice anything different about me @Ellery84?
And no, I haven't bought a new pair of smart camera sunglasses (which every good sleuther should have BTW :))

Totally agree. In the circumstances any rightly concerned doctor under such pressure could be excused for correctly describing the murderous psychopath named Erin Patterson.

I think he called her a sociopathic nut-bag too? Haha. He's not wrong.

A trillion? That is a lot of money
I don’t think the currency was specified. One trillion in rhetorical dollars or even in Monopoly Money, wont buy much.

You may recall that a while back we were discussing who might play Erin in a movie or on TV. A few actresses were suggested, and a number of people were in favour of Magda Szubanski. But unfortunately she is battling cancer, and is in hospital right now.
Then today for some reason I just thought that Sam Neill, a lovely guy, would make a good Simon. But guess what, he too is battling cancer.
Sending all good wishes to both of those wonderful people.

There’s a great podcast here about stalkers.

I know she stalked prior romantic partners IRL, but I think most of her stalking was online.

I’ve identified that at least two people around Erin are the revenge type of stalkers.

I’m sure a lot of the others in her circle have no idea what Erin was doing to others at the time, including members from her previous group. But I think two fuelled her in her paranoid conspiracy theory echo chamber.

That's such a shame for both.
However, I think Tom Gleeson was put on this earth to play Simon.

Back on to more interesting themes.

Erin imported drugs. This is from my police statement.

Allegedly she had a codeine addiction, which I'm not entirely sold on (perhaps she was using it in her potions? I don't know). I know she doctor shopped for codeine in Australia but after the restrictions came into place, I think it was 2019?! Where you could no longer purchase it over the counter without a prescription, Erin started importing it from various "black market" websites, and also while abroad.

We're all waiting for the inevitable attempt at Appeal.
Apparently she's got until October 8, or is it October 6? I think it is absolutely inevitable she will appeal. You can't be that much of a narcissist and not. But I seriously doubt it will be successful. IMO

October 6th, I think.
I believe this date can also be extended if required.

Actually my post wasn't me asking about an appeal.

It was more a please let's all get along.

AFAIK, codeine is always prescription-only in the US, no matter how much or little you buy. So in Aus, you can buy codeine OTC, but with limits (not 9 boxes at a time anyway?)

OK I see your edit now! I think that's when our FDA made even the lowest-amount codeine meds Rx only here.

No, she got that from New Zealand (during a trip with Simon and the children), where you can still get a maximum (x amount of boxes - I'm not sure) or at least could at the time, OTC.

Codeine was OTC in Australia, but in (sorry, I was wrong about it being 2019) in 2018 it changed: https://www.tga.gov.au/final-decision-re-scheduling-codeine-frequently-asked-questions? and became prescription only.
