I think JW had another ute, not sure if it was the grey Hilux that TB was in. There was a dog cage on marketplace being sold by JW, and he said it was removed from a ute that he bought and was no longer needed.

The fourwheel drive outside his yard looked like it had its motor sitting on the boat, the bullbar was still removed as it makes it easier to replace the motor.

Pretty sure the ute was from Emerald when he lived there. The ute is shown on various media articles.

I wouldn't mind betting no cash or jewellrey was stolen. It's something that can't be proven or disproven, and is an easy explanation as to why there was an argument that morning, although that was not mentioned as a reason for the argument by JW in his Daily Fail interview. Can anyone picture him finding out that his 17 year old housemate stole $5,000 cash from his room, and being cool with it, or cool enough not to confront her about it without tempers flaring? Apparently he's such a nice guy that "he wouldn't even be angry" (his words according to Daily Fail) about it when she turned up, he was just concerned for her safety. Yeah, right. Allegedly. MOO.

Or could it go the other way and maybe be more than $5k… say $10-$15k but he’s saying less so it doesn’t seem like he had motive to kill.. its only $5k. IMO the house looks like a crack den…combined with sawn off shotgun.. sounds like a recipe for drug dealing. And like another poster said, maybe she threatened to dob them in.

If the remains turn out to be Pheobe, and we all know they will, at least her family will get her back sooner rather than later, or not at all. A tiny piece of comfort in a horrible 3 weeks for them. It also drives home the fact to them that she is totally, 100%, gone. Some many emotions for her loved ones to bear.

Well done to the QPS for their dedicated work to bring this case to a close.

RIP Pheobe. Life wasn't fair to you, you deserved so much more.

Wonder when he worked on his car

Must have been prior to 21st

Can't imagine why police would be taking this car in if it doesn't go

Unless of course it was driveable around May 15

Maybe unregistered

Can't be driving around in unregistered cars right.

I think she had a lot of opportunities to get away from JW but chose not to. Her DV situation was an ideal opportunity but she chose otherwise.

Her attitude toward the media that morning she turned up for her bail appointment, giving the media the bird and then him crying about being harassed by community. The ordacity of the both of them is unbelievable.

He looks like the scum that preys on people with low self esteme and she might have thought that he was the best she could do. His aggression would have also played a part in it all, as we all know that the initial time leading up to the person leaving their partner from DV is the most dangerous.

Police have located what is believed to be human remains following a search of an area near Good Night Scrub National Park near Gin Gin this afternoon,

TB will go down the DV route. Blame JW for her actions and how she was scared of him.
While I do actually believe this may be the case, I have no sympathy for her now, 3 weeks on. If she had came out to police earlier, it may be a different story. But after 3 weeks of lies and cover ups, she has absolutely no leg to stand on in my opinion. Although I do think when it comes to court, she may see a little bit of relief. & again if she is the one who disclosed where the body was.
Makes me angry though if that’s the case. Only came around when that was the only option.

She's go no excuses.

She would have been offered to go immediately into Witness Protection and be relocated and given protections and maybe even a new name if she told what she knew. Bearing in mind the filthy disgusting lacking lifestyle she was trapped in, that would have also given her an immediately improved standard of living and security.

Unless of course LE didn't offer her that because they know she's a co-perpetrator or even the lead perpetrator and they would be bringing her in in due course.

She could have tried a career in modelling with her good looks and height.

How did this girl get stuck with these defendants living in filth and nearly twice her age
is simply beyond my comprehension

Maybe something good can come from this case that young people, young women especially, need to be able to access basic stable safe housing. A basic simple bedroom in a large house with shared facilities is more than enough for a teenager.

We live in a world where homelessness in all developed countries is rife and rentals are beyond the reach of the average working person. It's ludicrous. Why aren't there managed houses a bit like YHA where young single people can stay on a medium term basis. We had things like that in the old days in my youth.

It's so upsetting that when a child is ready to spread their wings and venture out in the world, they're trapped at home with all the tensions and frustrations and can't leave unless they come from quite a high level of privilege -or- are prepared to live in vulnerable situations, be exploited / groomed, or do stupid things for money.

I think the Ute that was seized was the one that TB was driving when she reported for bail in GinGin

But there is another 4WD, the black one pictured in the front of JW’s house in GinGin
