Knew this was coming, and while I'm glad her family gets to bury her, and she's not going to just decompose in the scrub like an animal...

Mainly, I'm just So. Effing. Angry.

Seventeen.

She should have had decades of growing up, making mistakes, learning and laughing to look forward to.

We say 'it gets better' to kids in crisis.

This kid was living rough, going from one living situation to another, and that's it, that's all she wrote. There will be no 'better'. There's no future for her. And that's infuriating to me.

TB will go down the DV route. Blame JW for her actions and how she was scared of him.
While I do actually believe this may be the case, I have no sympathy for her now, 3 weeks on. If she had came out to police earlier, it may be a different story. But after 3 weeks of lies and cover ups, she has absolutely no leg to stand on in my opinion. Although I do think when it comes to court, she may see a little bit of relief. & again if she is the one who disclosed where the body was.
Makes me angry though if that’s the case. Only came around when that was the only option.

I don't believe there was $5k. The way those two lived, I doubt very much that amount of cash was in that house. I think it's possibly just another attempt by JW to control the narrative of PB running away. This is the same guy that put out a public post declaring PB his 5/8 and urging her to make contact with her loved ones. The guy has a history of domestic violence and by all accounts, is completely void of empathy. It wouldn't take much to ignite a person of this caliber. The motive could be anything ranging to him not wanting to drive PB to the airport to his involvement of the death of the puppies that PB cared for.

On a side note;

Both JW and TB are monsters of the most horrible kind. My apologies if this is a little bit emotional but I'm not ready to accept that a 17 year old girl could be brazen enough to rip off those two repulsive psychopaths, especially knowing them as close as she would have. There are quite a few of us from Bundy/Gin Gin on this thread and I'm sure the can verify just how much this case has consumed the local area. It's hard to comprehend how anybody could do such horrendous things to someone who's life had barely began. It's even harder knowing these repugnant people walked the same streets as those that you care about. I hope everyone holds their loved ones especially close over the coming days and shares a thought or a prayer for poor Pheobe's family and friends. And, for the most vulnerable of all, our youth; no matter how dark the tunnel seems, there is always a light. The world is full of good people who will help you if you need it. You just need to know where to look. Be vigilant, recognize warning signs and never be afraid to reach out for help if you need it. Don't ever settle for that which is beneath you.

May Pheobe's soul be at peace.

I said MAYBE motive was money.

But I do believe the $5K mentioned plays a part in it aside from his own explanation of why PB bank account hadn't been touched since the day before she disappeared and that was because she stole his money, he says.

Because we all know he lies by now.

My personal belief of what happened and why it happened can't be shared on here because many things haven't been shared in the media / police reports as it stands at the moment.


Sometimes a motive isn't warranted in a murder case, especially in a situation of being unable to control ones anger, in an instantaneous event.

Yes his background is massively scary and that morning something triggered him and it resulted in the death of PB.

Where is the paper thats says she cared for puppies belonging to him? Haven't seen that one yet. Personally I don't think that is motive if it's correct.

JW dog always seems to be with him. Like one of those support dogs, in all situations he is there with him. Even took him to the police station.

This is so unbearably sad. My heart breaks for a young girl whose life should have just been starting to blossom into all its potential. And my heart breaks for her family as they have to try to deal with not only the fact that she is gone forever, but also the horrific circumstances of her demise.

I’m interested where these 2 were when arrested. …noting they were under court orders Not to Be in Each Others Presence following the weapons charges .

It looked like JW may have been in a caravan when he was charged last night.

Were they together when arrested, or was there a ‘raid’ on TB’s location at the same time .

They have both been charged with identical offences, however I wonder if she’ll roll over on the basis of the ‘Coercion & DV’…. I thought it was quite telling that the Magistrate commented on that when she appeared in court on the recent weapons charges.

Police are still saying that all 3 of them were in the car going to the airport that morning, so I’m so confused as to how 2 so-called friends go from taking some one to the airport > suddenly killing her !

Can't be arresting one person in two different locations

That's not how it works - police need to prepare the full brief for the defence team(s) to review before the next step can be taken and given it's such a huge case the police will have given an estimated timeframe for doing that. Solicitors for both defendants will have had that discussion with police and then advised the magistrate of how much time is needed before the next mention (court date). There's not much point having another mention before that. So in agreement on the adjournment but not working together as such.

Pure speculation but the idea of JW having 5k cash isn't completely implausible. Multiple cars on the property as well as a bus and a boat, so there was obviously cash flow from somewhere for him to have these in his and Tanika's possession in the first place. It's been confirmed there actually was dead dogs, was he breeding pig hunting dogs and selling the puppies? Pig hunting using dogs is very popular in regional parts of Qld, to the point farmers actually will pay people the go through their properties and knock off feral pigs, it wouldn't be obsurd to suggest he is selling pups, and cash would certainly be the most popular means of financial transaction in regional parts of Qld (no chances of the tax man coming for you). Not suggesting what he said about Pheobe taking it is true, but I don't think it would be completely crazy that he would have 5k on him if he was breeding and selling pigging dogs. No one has that many dead dogs on their property unless they are also selling them.

The remains were found during a search of an area near Good Night Scrub National Park, less than an hour away from Gin Gin, about 2.30pm today.

I agree about the tree stump, though we also have the grass sticking out of the bottom of the Hyundai.
Police were careful not to specify whether they believed the 4WD was involved or not. They only confirmed that it had been seized as Mr Wood is said to have been living in it on and off.

It's clear from the latest Police update that as of tonight they are asking for information specifically about the the grey Hyundai IX35, not about the 4WD.

Update 6: Missing girl, Bundaberg​

Police have located what is believed to be human remains following a search of an area near Good Night Scrub National Park near Gin Gin this afternoon, June 6.

The brief search commenced after further enquires and investigations today, with the discovery being made by specialist units around 2:30pm.

The remains are yet to be formally identified; however, investigators are in contact with the family of missing 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop.

A crime scene has been declared at the location and forensic examinations are continuing.

Police continue to appeal for any information in relation to Pheobe Bishop or the movement of a grey Hyundai IX35 between May 15 to 18 in the greater Gin Gin area.

I think JW had another ute, not sure if it was the grey Hilux that TB was in. There was a dog cage on marketplace being sold by JW, and he said it was removed from a ute that he bought and was no longer needed.

The fourwheel drive outside his yard looked like it had its motor sitting on the boat, the bullbar was still removed as it makes it easier to replace the motor.

Trying to knock down a stump that size with a car that has a plastic bumper would destroy it, Initially I thought a car had run off the road and knocked it down.

Could it have been law enforcement accessing PBs social media and showing as online or would they be able to do it more discreetly?
Otherwise assuming it was the two in custody IMO

My bet is that LE had finally been able to get into her account.

It can take certain types of code breaking software several days / weeks to get into accounts and / or sometimes LE have to serve enforcement and legal requests to the companies which they may or may not comply with and that takes weeks. JMO MOO
