Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a flight from Queensland, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025 *Arrests* #3

Yes agree totally….. I think that “something” from that questioning session confirmed it for Police and then JW was promptly arrested ….

There was an article today in the DM that stated JW had been called in for questioning 7 times ….. I suspect a similar intensity of questioning for TB

All IMO
Agree. If only the police had worked this hard when the call was received that morning at 5am... Pheobe would've most likely still been alive. That breaks my soul.

Maybe something good can come from this case that young people, young women especially, need to be able to access basic stable safe housing. A basic simple bedroom in a large house with shared facilities is more than enough for a teenager.

We live in a world where homelessness in all developed countries is rife and rentals are beyond the reach of the average working person. It's ludicrous. Why aren't there managed houses a bit like YHA where young single people can stay on a medium term basis. We had things like that in the old days in my youth.

It's so upsetting that when a child is ready to spread their wings and venture out in the world, they're trapped at home with all the tensions and frustrations and can't leave unless they come from quite a high level of privilege -or- are prepared to live in vulnerable situations, be exploited / groomed, or do stupid things for money.

JMO MOO
They have stuff like that for teens here in Queensland. It's called residential housing. A lot of children are abused and a lot of it goes unoticed, or the child doesn't speak up (which they shoundnt have to. Adults should see the signs of abuse and care enough to enquire), so people can't offer to help.

Or the child does speak up and does ask for help like there is evidence of Pheobe doing, and no one wants to help. That is absolutely heartbreaking. She tried. She asked. She saved for a ticket to get out of there and do it on her own.... but it was all too late. This world is an unkind place.

Now I am not saying your statement is wrong at all. But it sounds like there are limited staff in gin gin, a small rural town. Australia is huge.

Limited resources, likely stretched and we do not know what else was called up about at the time. Someone out there is feeling terrible that they did not attend. It is not their fault - the blame lies solely with the 2 housemates.

He looks like the scum that preys on people with low self esteme and she might have thought that he was the best she could do. His aggression would have also played a part in it all, as we all know that the initial time leading up to the person leaving their partner from DV is the most dangerous.
Agree. There's a video of her on a news program years ago. She didn't talk much. It was mostly her mum. Something about their pony being stolen. Anyway, she sounded like she is very uneducated. She couldn't really speak properly. I also checked out her LinkedIn. I would certainly never employ her.

A brief search- it appears police knew exactly where to search. Someone talked. I wonder which one?

“Police said the brief search and subsequent discovery came after "further enquiries and investigations today".

I feel you. Her family failed her, the police failed her, the child protection system failed her, the community failed her. Everyone was there for her when it was too late. If everyone had cared this much before she went missing, Pheobe would never have gone missing, or been murdered by scum.
That encapsulates it in a nutshell

The i35 is the grey Hyundai

I think the Ute that was seized was the one that TB was driving when she reported for bail in GinGin

But there is another 4WD, the black one pictured in the front of JW’s house in GinGin

IMO

My memory of the footge of that silver hilux ute was that Tanika got in the passenger seat from the courthouse and was driven away by someone that picked her up. I don't think it has anything to do with the case.

Interesting that TB's solicitors needs longer for the police to prepare the brief of evidence. This nearly sounds like TB/police are on the same team.
TB’s lawyer is a legal aide lawyer. It is understandable that a legal aide lawyer would require more time due to the probability of a substantial/heavy pre-existing case load.

Welcome to regional Australia. Police stations close at 12pm and its assumed most things just get resolved amongst the parties involved, because everyone knows. Eye for an eye or a fight in the street. Having lived in Mt Isa for a decent amount of my 35 years I've seen it all. I guess it's rare for things to escalate to where they have with Pheobe unfortunately.

Don’t forget there was also a grey vehicle that was supposedly the ix35 when it clearly wasn’t.
