I think he's got a big ego and thinks he can outwit LE. TB appears to be simpler and might try to enter a plea deal.
I wonder if the bit about neither of them living to see court meant he would end both of their lives before that happened?

Just a thought. In hindsight it reads a bit that way. MOO. TB certainly has a problem with violence herself, so I think either one could have ended Pheobe's life.

BOTH of them charged with Murder.
BOTH of them murdered her.
Can't be charging someone with murder without strong evidence.
Police know more than the public.

They have enough evidence to charge both with PB murder.
Even though there is no body at the moment

Lots of information still to come out

Unassuming Bundaberg Courthouse

Can’t get a close live cam view, but the courthouse is just down the road. Pretty quiet now.

I agree. At this stage both charged with murder but we may see one of their charges downgraded in the future, or may not. Only time will tell.

I also feel for TB and JWs children in all this. Seems they both have young children.

Thank you! You are charged with the crimes they have evidence to prove.

Most of which (the evidence) we have NO IDEA about, we have NO CLUE the information police actually have. They don’t charge people with murder for a joke. The victims families would not appreciate that at all. Or the public for that matter.

And that’s what makes this even more sickening. They are parents..! A 17 year old girl …. :(

I wonder how Pheobe accessed her Facebook messenger. Did she have a computer? Or did she only access with her phone?

I think he was referring to the public harming them, not him.

Could it have been law enforcement accessing PBs social media and showing as online or would they be able to do it more discreetly?
Otherwise assuming it was the two in custody IMO
Perhaps police found the phone yesterday.
Perhaps JW or TB used the phone yesterday.
Perhaps a bug? Someone close to me who died a couple of years ago appeared online on messenger once.

Maybe I'm not speaking clearly enough about what I mean, or maybe it is a difference in laws in different places (likely) or something I've confused? I will try again:

Someone actually ended her life. Both of them could have agreed to do something terrible, but logically I would think one of them actually did, or did more, i.e. carried out the act--whatever it was--itself. Is this more clear?

I'm personally not clear if anyone is an accessory, or something else, but it doesn't seem it from the discussion? Is that correct? Would they both be charged with murder if one actually took Pheobe's life and the other simply did not prevent it from happening? I'm assuming that would be a different charge, but just checking?

I have a sick feeling something really disturbing happened now, where before I thought it was simply an outburst and an accidental death. Poor kid. :(

I guess
in case of a group
if it is not certain who actually committed the murder and nobody wants to confess,
then all participants are charged of the crime equally.

This law even has a name...
Something like "Guilt by Association".

If JW and TB agreed to commit this crime against Pheobe and acted together, both can be charged with murder, even if only one physically caused her death. For example, one might have restrained her while the other struck her, or one might have helped plan the act while the other executed it. Both are equally liable for murder under the Queensland Criminal Code, which holds co offenders responsible for acts done in a shared plan.

Section 8 holds co offenders liable if they form a common intention to commit a crime and an offense (like murder) occurs as a probable consequence of their plan, even if one didn’t directly intend the death.

Thank you! This is very helpful

Agree. She will be wanting a shorter sentence so will plead guilty, her conscience will get the better of her and squeal like a pig.
She had the chance last week, but didn't take it. Unless police kept it quiet. Pheobe needs to be found, now.

Hopefully a murder charge will change that and get her talking.

At least Lyn Dawson has left a legacy in Lyn’s Law otherwise referred to as No Body No Parole. Her husband, Chris Dawson will never get parole.
