I hope she wasn't in the duffle bag! Strange thing to say that it was almost the size of her when she is missing. Moo
I think this too. Often perpetrators slip up and want to tell someone about their crime as a bit of a badge of honour. Saying it was almost her size makes me worry that’s what she has been placed in. Plus if she had a bag that large but nothing to wear except a man over double the size of hers track pants. Weird

from the Daily Mail article,

"He assumed that she had walked the short remaining distance to the terminal. The couple then drove toward the airport to check, he said, but they didn’t see her along the way. "
"Wood claims the pair then waited outside the small terminal for some time but did not go inside."

I would assume there were surveillance cameras, yet no sight of this pair, nor of their car evidently.
The only surveillance LE has of the car is on a road in the area the name of which I forgot.

I guess Wood had a lot of time to concoct this detailed story while not sleeping in his car.

Wow , that’s quite a detailed account from JW about what happened that morning. Should be the same statement he gave to police when he was first interview and TB account should be 99.9% similar. If this is true .
Sometimes when their stories are too similar they have rehearsed them. They had quite some time together before they were not allowed contact.

I have questions....
Why did the dog have to come? Or both housemates for that matter? Who believes that a teenager, stressing about what to wear to look good for her boyfriend, borrows a pair or track pants from her much larger male housemate? Her texts indicate she was so excited she was packing 3 days earlier, surely she'd have also planned what to wear the day of the flight?

From the start I have thought drugs are involved. I think that when this case breaks open it will be some altercation relating to meth predominantly, like money owed or phoebe knew too much. I work in the AOD sector and I have a spidey sense about this. I saw someone had posted that it was a “party house” she lived in, not to mention the state of the house. People in addiction or dealing gear are more often than not living in filth. Sad but true. MOO

They would have been interviewed the day she was reported missing (following day?)-. We don’t know what statement they left with police that day either.

Wouldn't be surprised hes ok getting arrested, jail is big improvement to how he been living!
Will he finally show LE where Pheobe is and will there be a 2nd arrest anytime soon 🤔

The Police apparently secured his car in Bolewski Street.

As the Daily Mail stated, it was in Bolewski Street. I’ve found the area that his car was left…. with BCF in the background…and a car yard nearby. So somewhere here…

James Wood in police custody over disappearance of missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop

“The housemate of missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop has been taken into custody over her disappearance, police have confirmed.

James Wood, 34, has been arrested but no charges have been laid.”

With such a detailed statement of events, it won't be difficult to poke holes in it if he is lying. I'm still thinking something happened before they left the house. When the neighbour heard the noises at 5am.

My thoughts too. She didn’t have many clothes, yet needed a huge duffle bag!

If PB was also involved with drugs , could be that she overdosed overnight, then the screaming may have been the panic by two housemates finding her the next morning. They were the adults in the house with a minor under her care .

As you can see, no one was sleeping in that bus.

Dumb and Dumber have just dug a massive hole for themselves :)

He says PB was wearing his clothes because when they find her , he thinks that will explain that one.
A young girl, about to fly to the other side of Aust to see her BF for the 1st time in ages, and she wears pants made for a man 10 x her size?

He says they got out of the car and when they went back she was gone
They drove around for a while then went home.

Um hello, why were police gathering evidence in Good Night Scrub National Park
with only ONE car being sought by police.

100% agree

That call from the neighbour which was all over the news weeks ago and now no where to be found, is one vital clue

From the Daily Mail article:

“As they approached Airport Drive, less than a kilometre from the terminal, the argument continued, Wood said.

Wood told Bromley to pull the car over and they got out and walked a distance away to give Pheobe some space to collect herself.

'We wanted to give her five minutes - give her her own space to do what she needed to do,' he said.

'We walked to the end, it was maybe five minutes, maybe it was three minutes or maybe it was eight but that's about how long we were gone.'”

Why would the driver and front passenger get out of the car and go for a walk when they were so close to the airport. Wouldn’t you just drop her there is it was less than a kilometre away? At least if they had said they told PB to get out because of the arguing it would have been more believable

Yep, the fact that JW outlined that Pheobe had smashed the TV that morning after "waking up and being furious that she'd missed her alarm" suggests that there was a struggle in the house.

Why would the driver and front passenger get out of the car and go for a walk when they were so close to the airport

Right? Especially since she'd missed her alarm and they were supposedly running late!

To add from Daily Mail article

“'We drove around and as far as we thought she could have made it and then drove a bit further in case.'

Wood claimed this would have been the moment when CCTV footage picked up his car heading towards the Good Night Scrub National Park.”

Goodnight Scrub National Park is an hour away from Bundaberg airport and some distance from Gin Gin
