'After that she started shouting about not having anything to wear and she was so worked up about seeing her boyfriend for the first time and she wanted to look good.

'And I get it, she is a teenager and she thinks he may be the love of her life, so I understand.

'I grabbed some grey brand new trackies I had and I threw them to her and said wear these and first she said she didn't want to take them as they were mine but then she said "OK" and put them on.'

He isnt going to insert that piece of gold if they was her own pants.

Covering his behind for things to come IMO

Just for clarity on what he says she was wearing that day.

i challenge anyone to make JW's account make sense!
I feel that in time it just may all add up!

I mean… we could poke holes in the narrative all day…
But I also find it interesting that he’s saying on one hand that they just had to get her to the airport asap cause they knew it would settle her, or calm her down.
On the other hand he says he made the decision to go to the shop for energy drinks, and that they later decided to pull over and give her 5 minutes to pull herself together.
Those two things slowed the journey down instead of just getting her to the airport asap.

Also, I think there’s something in them - JW and TB - going for a walk in the airport drive vicinity for 5 minutes. What did they do? I think it probably did happen and there was a reason - what was dumped here? Is her phone still there? Or was this where she was first dumped and then they’ve thought better of it “gone the other way” and gone to (maybe) GNSNP before needing something more permanent. I really think they did something in that 5 minute “walk” in the Airport Dr vicinity.

I think all the tiny details he’s given (us) today will actually feed into the larger story when Phoebe is eventually found. It will all add up.

ETA… IMO

I'm a bit confused about the last "call" to bf.

I remember sending the report where he said he "didn't hear anything".

And now I read here he "heard yelling" of the pair.

🤔
Im going with him and his family actually saying he couldnt hear anything when he answered.

So many padded details in papers on this case. Different cars being shown, images used that are AI generated and tall stories to create interest. AS if a missing persons case needs fake news. Should be a law against newspapers doing this.

All of my appendages are crossed that they can extract the needed info from him so they can find this poor girl
As a non-native English speaker skimming through the posts, I read it as "All of my appendixes are crossed that" and had to double back!
I remember sending the report where he said he "didn't hear anything".
I think he meant that he "Didn't hear any (understandable words) from PB".

Were they arguing about what to do with the body? I know sometimes Siri works on my phone even when I don’t ask it to. Could PB’s phone mistakenly called him and that’s what was heard?

This latest statement from JW is quite significant albeit fairly unbelievable. We can cross reference what is thus accepted as fact against his admissions to ascertain some relevance to previously accepted theories.

1. A disturbance was allegedly reported by a neighbour at approximately 5am. This is now corroborated by JW, although he stated it occured later. The fact that he admitted PB was pushing for a 5am wake up and an argument was reported by the neighbour at 5am, lends weight to suspect PB was awake at 5am. This should be now accepted as highly likely to have occured. This gives a 2.5 - 3hr window between the alleged disturbance being heard and departure to the airport.

2. We know that a call was made to PB's boyfriend during the commute to the airport. It is alleged by the BF that arguing was occuring and he was unable to communicate with PB. Again, this aligns with JW's version of events and should be accepted as fact. This means that PB was alive up until this point. Her death did not occur in the house.

3. JB has stated that he and TB vacated the vehicle on airport drive. This information has been offered up without circumstantial reasoning. This could mean that investigators know that he and TB got out of the vehicle on airport drive and the is a justification for it. Or, this is the avoid further integration of facts which could lead to self incrimination should the more plausible scenario of PB exiting the car for the terminal. I.e, "what direction did she walk after exiting? Did she open the boot herself to collect her luggage?" Etc, etc.

There are many peculiarities to JWs statement that don't fit the pattern.
-Why would a girl that is anticipating her trip as excitedly as he suggests, succumb to wearing her male roommates tracksuit pants for lack of "anything to wear". A girl that sent her aunt a verified text message indicating she was packing her clothes four days prior to her flight. Why would a girl that was up at 5am be applying makeup in the car on the way to the airport? Why would a girl that was anxious about being late for her flight, decide to hump her luggage airport drive to the terminal? But.. the biggest question is, why would JW offer up all these details if not to manipulate previously accepted events into a fabricated story?

I stand by my earlier suspicion that PB met with foul play on the way to the airport after the call to her BF. I now believe it is likely that the catalyst for this was an argument which started in the house at 5am. I speculate it was JW that slept in and PB's attempt to wake him that resulted in a disruption (broken TV, screaming etc).

I firmly believe PB will be found in the bushlands close to the airport. The search being called off means that investigators believe beyond reason that PB will not be found alive.

My hope now is that there is enough evidence for that poor girl to receive the justice she is owed.

A beach umbrella! 😆

Snipped
“Wood appeared to have been living in the Hyundai since police released it to him.
'He's here, he's hiding here,' the local yelled, prodding the 34-year-old with a beach umbrella before he sped away.”

While I applaud her enthusiasm, she's probably lucky she didn't get shot!

Imo

Is it really possible that the mere waking up somebody at 5 am
can lead to unholy screaming and broken TV?

What were they really arguing about I wonder.

We have no evidence that PB was alive up until this point or otherwise, or that her death didn't occur in the house. The call could have been made by either house mate.

Why??? Why accept what he says as fact??? Sorry, IMO the both of them lied from day 1 and I dont accept anything he says as fact.

The BF and his mother have come out and said he couldnt hear PB at all. It is the paper that is saying the BF heard an argument.

I'm with you on the rest of your theory , aside from her being met with foul play on the way to the airport. IF that was the case, they wouldn't have the car back.

Having the car back doesn’t mean everything though. It just means no blood inside the car probably. She might not have met her demise via a method where she has bled anyway. Could have been lethal strangulation etc. That only leaves evidence on the body. 😟
IMO

"I grabbed some grey brand new trackies I had and I threw them to her and said wear these and first she said she didn't want to take them as they were mine but then she said "OK" and put them on.'"

And this is pretty much explaining why Pheobe is going to be found wearing JW's pants.
What a story.
What a statement from JW. This whole case is the strangest I have followed of a missing person. Imagine it can only get more weird.

Agreed, the media's muddying of the bf's account of the phone call ("didn't hear anything at all" → "heard yelling but couldn't make out the words") makes the timeline a bit more unclear but I still do believe the phone call could have been an accident on the housemates' part, and they may have turned the phone off once they realised what they had done

Edited to add: article from earlier in the week clearly states that PB's boyfriend was "unable to hear anything before it cut off," might be a minor detail, but also might be key to understanding whether anyone (other than JW and TB) actually heard or sighted her in the car that morning?

The police had their guns drawn apparently when they apprehended him - guess they were worried there might be a 3rd sawn off rifle under the car seat
