This shows the Media edit their reports according to requests by LE I guess.

Because I surely don't remember this bit when I sent a link earlier about the call to bf.

Then the meaning was quite the opposite.
"Nothing heard", but he was not alarmed.
As if the connection was suddenly severed.

The same with an argument at 5 am heard by a neighbour.

Oh well, ...

SO much has been removed or edited out from the very start.

But like all cases, swings and roundabouts, the facts first reported always find their way back because you cant change FACT. Not even print can change that. It all comes out in the end.

Texts confirm 5 puppies died from Hookworm before treatment could work.

Not 11 dogs

“One local told Daily Mail Australia that they had been forced to close their windows and doors to block the smell of the rotting dogs as temperatures soared past 28C.”

What was the local weather that morning? If it was hot leading up to it she might have left out shorts or similar to wear on the plane. Then if the morning of leaving was cold in comparison that might (and it’s a stretch I think) mean her own warm clothes were packed hence the loan of the brand new track suit pants 🤷‍♀️ still unsure how they’d look on her, she is tall so height might be ok but she looks slighter than him. That said I don’t think the photos used of her are recent.

Pretty good timeline, don't think I've seen anyone else link, apologies if they have already.

I know it's the daily fail, but the quotes from him.....seriously....what a story.
I’m quite sure that DM will have been keen for a chat with JW for days. It’s kind of coincidental that he partook of that opportunity this morning, wonder if he had vibes that things were crumbling.
Seems to me that he made good use of his time while living in that car by rehashing / rehearsing the story of that morning. I’m guessing his dog was a good subject to try it out on - no doubt it listened intently, didn’t interject, perhaps gave the odd lick of reassurance along the way.
😫

Police arrested JW at 11.40am today. This Channel 7news clip states that Police can only hold him for 8 hours without charging him, or they will have to go to special effort needing approval from a Magistrate or a Justice of the Peace, to keep him in custody.

That would be around 9.40pm tonight - that is in about 20mins that the 8 hours are up.

They’ll have him as long as they need him and if they need him beyond the 8 hours they’ll be able to make that happen in a pinch.
It’s not hard to contact an on-call Magistrate after hours. I have to do it all the time in my job.
I am hopeful we (and the family) get some answers soon though…!

It is super sus...but does raise the teensy teensy possibility of someone offering Pheobe a llift the rest of the way?

Although it sounds from the location that if someone did, then Pheobe would have likely bee caught on a camera entering a second vehicle?

I could buy the loan of track pants even though he looks quite stocky. The house clearly smelled horrible, so I can also buy Pheobe freaking out over how she would look for a flight and so on. That MAY have happened something as he told it. Usually there is some truth in lies....

Now her smashing the TV and all the rest...did one of them throw Pheobe against a tv and that is how she was injured and eventually succumbed to it? Maybe that could explain the other two yelling at her in the car--i.e. she lost consciousness and they panicked?

Pheobe wearing JW's tracksuit pants (are they going to have his DNA on them? Who put them on her?)
Honestly, my only thought when reading that was that for some reason or the other, PB was not wearin pants when she was killed. Putting large tracksuit pants on a dead person is way easier than dressing them in, say, skinny jeans. Let alone that then there is an excuse for his DNA being on the pants.

I agree very suss but a tiny teeny what if…

Was it track suit weather that day? Personally I like to limit as much of myself touching plane seats & I find planes cold so I’d never plan shorts for a plane. Did she leave out shorts & realised she might be cold? There could be a kernel of truth in it.

I vaguely remember a case where it was important forensically if a piece of clothing was new & not washed but I can’t remember…

This.

All I could think of was redressing when I heard about the pants.

"Detectives are yet to visit her boyfriend in WA.

'Queensland Police officers have not travelled to Western Australia as part of this investigation
but police continue to speak to people who know Pheobe',
a spokesperson confirmed."

I heard that, but I think the key comment is Qld Police officers have not travelled to WA.
I’m sure pretty confident that local Police will have met with her boyfriend, and possibly Qld officers have had phone / online communication with him.

Could be that they were all arguing that morning at home, so feelings were already heightened.
They got in the car and drove to the airport as planned but were arguing on the way.
PB may have called her boyfriend at the height of the argument & that made JW angry and snatch her phone to hang up & she launches at him and then she is killed maybe she throws a punch at him and he retaliates but goes too far.
This is probably when TB pulls up, they get out of the car in a panic and take her clothes off her as there is blood on them, possibly JW’s blood but police would have checked if he had any signs of struggle when they first interviewed him so not sure about this. Then they need to get rid of the evidence so they walk the clothes down the path they say they walked. This may be where her phone is too but who knows.
Then, they dress her in his pants and drive her body to GNS, they go home and then realise they need to go back and hide it in a better spot as they may have realised after the fact that she would be found as they were panicked and not thinking straight when they put her there.

Tv may have been smashed by her or by someone throwing her into it as suggested above, & he may know there could be traces of her blood on it so came up with the story as a way to explain if police pick up her blood on tv.
Pants, everyone is fixated on the pants thing but I’m not sure what reason he would need to say that ? Am I missing something here ?
Unless the scenario I suggested above is right , what other reasons are you all thinking he needed to explain his dna being on her pants ?
& I do think you’re all on the money about the bag being where she is. He says it twice about the bag being the size of her.
A bag the size of her, but nothing to wear ?

This is all assumptions, I’m sure charges will be laid in the next few days. Police seem to actually be doing there job on this case which is refreshing to see

I wonder if she was originally placed into the duffel bag but at a later time they went back to better conceal her. I find the duffel bag an odd choice for a 17 year old. A very large duffel bag is quite awkward and heavy to carry around. I don’t usually see women travel solo with duffel bags almost the size of them..

Stopping at airport drive could be to throw her phone after getting spooked by the phone call or to leave a trace of her to ping in the area after they had left the area.

She is a tall girl, almost 1.80.
Are there such big duffel bags?
IDK really.
But surely not for travelling by plane.
I have never seen a tourist (especially a girl) carrying such a big bag 🙄
There are limits in air travels.
Suitcases must have certain dimensions or you have to pay extra for going over the limit.

Also, if she was killed en route to the airport this duffel bag would have been full of her clothes and items. To fit her in it all those items would have to have been disposed of separately.

I lived a few months in a similar house to the one Pheobe was in. Similar housemates. I didn’t want to breathe the same air as them, wouldn’t even use the same plates let alone wear his clothes. It was quite clear how much she didn’t like them.

Lastly how was she supposed to put makeup on in the backseat without a mirror?

I've wondered if someone else was involved. It made more sense when there was a possibility PB was potentially kicked out of the car along Samuel's Road, given it is so close to the highway. Airport Drive is a short walk to the terminal. If she had a heavy bag, maybe she'd flag a lift, but that is definitely odd. It's so close. I can't imagine PB not just walking the rest of the way to the terminal.

JW said they walked to the end. I assume he's talking about the corner of Airport Drive and Takalvan Street. Liberty Oil Petrol Station is there and it is a somewhat large (compared to other local petrol stations) shop with things to buy (milk, junk food, the standard petrol station items). If they walked there, police should have CCTV confirming his account, even if they didn't go inside.

When they entered the Airport Terminal, they would be captured on CCTV.

When police picked him up today, it looks like the car was parked near Ross Grey. Yes, the local cemetery is nearby, but if I had to guess, he picked that spot because it was busy enough to be safe. Takalvan Street (just off Bolewski St) is consistently busy. It's also close to a 24/7 gym.

If she did enter a second car, it's possible based on the description of where they parked, that it wasn't captured on CCTV. However, surely police are examining every car that drove past during that time period. I suspect TB & JW (if they weren't involved) panicked and lied to police initially, which may have prevented the police from following up on other potential leads.

My first solo international trip away, I used a massive duffel that was borderline impossible to lift. Since that trip I've used a suitcase, but I wouldn't find this particularly suspicious (almost everything else, yes, but this specific fact, no). It doesn't sound like PB travelled a lot and the duffel may have been loaned to her.

IMO

I never thought of that but that makes sense 😔

TB may have freaked out if she heard he was doing an interview with the media & told police information. Now they are trying to get him to lead them to her body that’s why he hasn’t been charged yet. They want that last solid bit of evidence from him before putting him before a jury without direct evidence.
