That bit right there set off too many red flags for me to believe anything he said after that. There is absolutely no way a pair of his pants fit on her in the first place, so that's a bald-faced lie right off the bat. And, as you point out, why did he feel the need to include the information that they were brand-new? Giving too many details in a story is often a sign that it's fabricated because people tend to overcompensate (they want to really sell the story, or not sound too vague.) And I can't shake the feeling that the weird over-detailing is him trying to retroactively make a narrative "explain" whatever evidence is eventually going to come out, if that makes sense? It's all very sus to me.

'After that she started shouting about not having anything to wear and she was so worked up about seeing her boyfriend for the first time and she wanted to look good.

'And I get it, she is a teenager and she thinks he may be the love of her life, so I understand.

'I grabbed some grey brand new trackies I had and I threw them to her and said wear these and first she said she didn't want to take them as they were mine but then she said "OK" and put them on.'

He isnt going to insert that piece of gold if they was her own pants.

Covering his behind for things to come IMO
Oh yeah, he mentions it twice!

"Detectives are yet to visit her boyfriend in WA.

'Queensland Police officers have not travelled to Western Australia as part of this investigation
but police continue to speak to people who know Pheobe',
a spokesperson confirmed."

Having the car back doesn’t mean everything though. It just means no blood inside the car probably. She might not have met her demise via a method where she has bled anyway. Could have been lethal strangulation etc. That only leaves evidence on the body. 😟
IMO
Your bodily fluids usually let go after death.

The Police apparently secured his car in Bolewski Street.

As the Daily Mail stated, it was in Bolewski Street. I’ve found the area that his car was left…. with BCF in the background…and a car yard nearby. So somewhere here…

Millbank. Wasn’t TB arrested in Millbank recently?

2. We know that a call was made to PB's boyfriend during the commute to the airport. It is alleged by the BF that arguing was occuring and he was unable to communicate with PB. Again, this aligns with JW's version of events and should be accepted as fact. This means that PB was alive up until this point. Her death did not occur in the house.

Why??? Why accept what he says as fact??? Sorry, IMO the both of them lied from day 1 and I dont accept anything he says as fact.

The BF and his mother have come out and said he couldnt hear PB at all. It is the paper that is saying the BF heard an argument.

I'm with you on the rest of your theory , aside from her being met with foul play on the way to the airport. IF that was the case, they wouldn't have the car back.
Hi Mishy, thanks for questioning this. I recently made a post why I accept this as likely. There are a few reasons.
Access to PB's phone would be granted via facial recognition, PIN or fingerprint. This would have to have been done in the vicinity of the cellular NMI in which the call was detected. If somebody were to attempt to deceive via a call, it would be highly unlikely they would make a call and stage an argument for the receiver to hear. That would only raise concern by the person answering. Also, if the call was completely void of noise, as some have claimed, this would also raise suspicion. If someone called you and you heard nothing on the other end, you would most likely try to call them back or expect them to call you back, right? If JW/TB were attempting to deceive and did have access to the phone, a text message would be the most likely type of contact to avoid all possiblity of recognizing distinguishing features of a caller. In either case, if you had committed murder and planned to stage an airport dropoff as a cover story, why would you even attempt to make contact with someone in a two-hour time delay when you could just toss the phone or turn it off? The boyfriend was expecting PB to be on a combined 8 hour journey, radio silence would be expected.

news but not really...strange to not realise it was a mannequin sooner (ie before calling police) Horrifying bush find rocks police search for Pheobe Bishop
Good idea, IMO:

Local resident Melanie Nelson has launched a petition on change.org begging for more funding to help support the small police station, which services the area.

'In the tight-knit community of Gin Gin, the unsettling disappearance of Phoebe Bishop has sent shockwaves through our hearts,' she said.

'Our small police force is overextended, handling multiple cases with limited resources. This unfortunate situation has highlighted the urgent need for additional police officers in our area to prevent further tragedies and to better support ongoing investigations.'

The petition has been signed by almost 300 people.

Another scenario is that PB was driven to a desolate area, made to exit the vehicle and murdered. If an argument was continuing in the car, the driver could quite easily reroute without PB being able to do anything about it.

i'd really love to know if the boyfriend actually heard and spoke to her at all or was the arguing in the car that bad that he couldn't make out who's voice he was hearing?!

"After loading a large duffle bag - 'almost the size of her' - into the car alongside his dog, they set off for the airport, with Bromley driving and Pheobe in the back seat.

Minutes later, about 8.30am, before they’d left Gin Gin for Bundaberg, Pheobe called her boyfriend to let him know she was on the way.

Daily Mail Australia previously reported the boyfriend claimed he heard shouting during the call.

The boyfriend later told a friend: 'They were both yelling at her and I couldn't really hear her.'"

Love it. Valid point.

Has it even been confirmed that it was Phoebe who purchased the plane ticket and sent the texts about the visit? When was she last seen alive? Were her housemates hoping to make it look like she caught a plane to Perth abd then disappeared, but the plan backfired because she was never checked in? Did someone intend to check in and pretend to be Phoebe but that plan also backfired, so they had to drive away in the HyunToyo and think of a new plan? Where is th evidence she was ever seen in airport drive Bunaberg?

This shows the Media edit their reports according to requests by LE I guess.

Because I surely don't remember this bit when I sent a link earlier about the call to bf.

Then the meaning was quite the opposite.
"Nothing heard", but he was not alarmed.
As if the connection was suddenly severed.

The same with an argument at 5 am heard by a neighbour.

Oh well, ...

😂 I love that, HyunToyo. It’d have to go down in history as one of the dumbest post crime actions.

Police arrested JW at 11.40am today. This Channel 7news clip states that Police can only hold him for 8 hours without charging him, or they will have to go to special effort needing approval from a Magistrate or a Justice of the Peace, to keep him in custody.

That would be around 9.40pm tonight - that is in about 20mins that the 8 hours are up.

Agreed, the media's muddying of the bf's account of the phone call ("didn't hear anything at all" → "heard yelling but couldn't make out the words") makes the timeline a bit more unclear but I still do believe the phone call could have been an accident on the housemates' part, and they may have turned the phone off once they realised what they had done

Edited to add: article from earlier in the week clearly states that PB's boyfriend was "unable to hear anything before it cut off," might be a minor detail, but also might be key to understanding whether anyone (other than JW and TB) actually heard or sighted her in the car that morning?

i'd really love to know if the boyfriend actually heard and spoke to her at all or was the arguing in the car that bad that he couldn't make out who's voice he was hearing?!

SAME NEWSPAPER , TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS
PB's boyfriend was "unable to hear anything before it cut off.
then
Daily Mail Australia reported the boyfriend claimed he heard shouting during the call.

I'm sticking with the BF and his mother saying he couldn't hear anything.

IMO one of the suspects had a momentary brain wave, and used her phone to call him to say she was delayed or changed her mind. (Proof of life. )
Then thought better of it and hung up. Shut down the phone and threw it.

They had to drive to the airport to at least have proof she "was there" and make their story of dropping her off on the side of the road valid. Can't have the car driving up and down the highways on that day and or following day, for no reason.

I cant really buy that TB wouldn't have access to her phone TBH.

Can't see them clocking her in the car and then trying to dispose of her around the airport area or driving to Good Night Scrub that morning to dispose of her JMO

I can see how he went to the shop to buy what he called "drinks" , I might call it tape?, place her in the car and drive to Bundy working out what to do along the way. Make a "call" , switch off the phone, drive around dropping off things and eventually end up at Good Night Scrub, go back there at some point and remove whatever the police have alleged and head to another area to dispose of.

They aren't that smart by all accounts.
Offering up his dodgy boat as a reward only to people in his close FB page, dodgy car artwork,
dyeing their hair blonde to be " unrecognisable" for their first outing together at the court house.

Now we have his account of that morning which doesn't add up. Dumb and Dumber.

I feel that in time it just may all add up!
I mean… we could poke holes in the narrative all day…
But I also find it interesting that he’s saying on one hand that they just had to get her to the airport asap cause they knew it would settle her, or calm her down.
On the other hand he says he made the decision to go to the shop for energy drinks, and that they later decided to pull over and give her 5 minutes to pull herself together.
Those two things slowed the journey down instead of just getting her to the airport asap.

Also, I think there’s something in them - JW and TB - going for a walk in the airport drive vicinity for 5 minutes. What did they do? I think it probably did happen and there was a reason - what was dumped here? Is her phone still there? Or was this where she was first dumped and then they’ve thought better of it “gone the other way” and gone to (maybe) GNSNP before needing something more permanent. I really think they did something in that 5 minute “walk” in the Airport Dr vicinity.

I think all the tiny details he’s given (us) today will actually feed into the larger story when Phoebe is eventually found. It will all add up.

ETA… IMO

I think you're right in that much of JW's story is likely to be half truths aimed at explaining a series of events and/or possible evidence.
  • Broken TV at the house (because of a struggle?)
  • JW went to IGA for energy drinks (no need to lie about that)
  • Pheobe wearing JW's tracksuit pants (are they going to have his DNA on them? Who put them on her?)
  • Duffle bag almost the size of Pheobe is loaded into the car (is she going to be found inside it?)
  • Phone call made to the boyfriend - (according to JW this occurred before they'd left the town of Gin Gin. Phone signal will be triangulated by police. Who made that call?)
  • Car was pulled over for a period of time near Airport Drive (but why?) .
  • Car then driven to airport terminal and they waited but didn't get out (there may be CCTV either from the "terminal" or from the Liberty service station on Airport Drive)
  • Later CCTV footage of the car "heading towards Goodnight Scrub" (was this the Samuels Road footage? Oddly specific destination to note.)
Mr Woods stories, while fascinating, raise more questions than they answer.

I'm sure they calculated the time well ;)

Let's wait and see.
