Let’s just assume JW is telling the truth about PB stealing 5k and jewellery and that being an explanation as to why she has not used her bank account.

Why would PB not get a taxi? Why would she risk getting into a car with a man who is a lot physically bigger, who has DV previous, who she has just hypothetically stolen a decent amount of money from?

Furthermore, assuming she has done this, is it not incredibly bold and brash of her to be smashing TVs early in the morning, causing unnecessary drama? Surely you just make a swift getaway in these circumstances?

Can't he stay in some motel?
Really,
living in a car seems absurd to me :oops:
Hunted by locals.
Honestly,
it makes me uneasy.

Or stay with his parents?
Although they seem to live elsewhere, out of this area, no?

It is all turning into a circus.
With Media descending, locals bothering him.
Sorry,
but it is My Opinion.

Yep out of there without drama and before they realise what’s up.. surely.

Would be quite expensive in a regional area.

His parents probably do not want the circus out front their home.

JW may be trying to garner sympathy (stupidly)..

"Mr Wood was arrested on Wednesday morning to assist police with inquiries into Pheobe’s disappearance."

IMO
The language used is soooo strange.

I mean
"Arrested to assist"???? :rolleyes:

Images of the bus inside where TB apparently lived.

There doesn't look like there is any room for anyone to stay in the bus and there is a number plate. I am not even going to mention the state of it.

Could it be he is telling the truth ,
that Phoebe stole $5k and has done a runner - maybe she has someone else help her ( who was living in the house )
Maybe that person didn’t want her to visit ex - boyfriend?
Maybe she is hiding with other person ?
Maybe other person hurt her ?

It’s a possibility - ? I just thinking it’s possible there are others involved

Police Power to Arrest (Queensland)

“The Queensland Police have the power to arrest you in a range of situations. Your rights during an arrest and the procedures police must follow are set out in the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000. This article outlines when the police may arrest you and what you can expect to occur after being arrested.”

Effective arrest in Queensland

“In order to effectively arrest a person, all the police need to do is say, ‘You’re under arrest’ and to touch you. They need not handcuff you or use any force. If you co-operate with your arrest, it may occur without any physical contact beyond that initial touch.

You have the right to ask the police what they are arresting you for. You must then accompany them to a police station where you will be processed and then bailed or remanded.

You must tell the police your name and address, but you do not have to answer any other questions.”

Power to arrest without warrant

“Under Section 365 of the Police Powers and Responsibilities Act 2000, the police have the power to arrest an adult without a warrant if it is necessary:

  • To prevent the commission of an offence;
  • To make enquiries to establish the person’s identity;
  • To ensure the person appears before a court;
  • To obtain or preserve evidence;
  • To prevent the harassment of a potential witness;
  • To prevent the fabrication of evidence;
  • To preserve the safety of a person;
  • To prevent the person fleeing;
Police also have the power to an adult they suspect has committed an indictable offence for questioning or investigation.

Under Section 365, police have the power to arrest a child without a warrant if they reasonably suspect the child has committed or is committing an offence.

The police also have the power to arrest a person who has escaped lawful custody (Section 366) or a person who had breached their bail conditions (Section 367).”

Release from arrest

“The police must release you from custody as soon as the person is no longer suspected of the offence for which they were arrested (provided the person is not in custody for another reason as well).

The police must release you if the reason for your arrest no longer exists, if the matter can be dealt with by infringement notice and a notice has been issued, or if the matter can be dealt with by way of a summons and a summons has been issued. The police must also release the person if it is more appropriate to deal with them other than by charging them and the person and the victim agree to this.

The police may keep you in custody for up to eight hours without charging you.”

Hmmm....

This case makes me uneasy.
Something doesn't seem right IMO.

🤔

But then...
It is called BIZZARE for a reason.

LE may just be trying to work out if his story lines up with new data they have on him, hopefully it’s resolved soon, I’d hate to see whoever took her walk.

If he answered any questions, they will have him pinned down to an official story. Which they can now go ahead and prove or disprove.

imo

I’m still thinking about that smashed TV.

PB is reported missing, LE find an unregistered firearm in the car she was supposedly travelling in and a smashed TV (i.e. an indication there was a struggle) and designate both as a crime scene. I guess the police won’t have known when the TV was smashed, but in his interview JW admits it was the same day. I feel like the interview is JW spewing up the story they’ve concocted. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do find a pair of sweatpants with the body (that may or may not fit her), and claiming he gave them to her could be their way of explaining DNA evidence if they do turn up.

If she really did steal 5k from them, that would certainly be motive. Whether they’re guilty or not there’s means, motive and opportunity, if not actual evidence.

In that case why not arrest tb as well?
Why just jw?
curious, the strategies at play by the police I suppose.
Still hoping for a good outcome for pheobe.

TB could turn witness and go into protection maybe?

I think the reason these two were allowed to go free is because they're under tight surveillance and monitoring and aren't considered a flight risk and monitoring them was possibly helpful, returning to scene of crime or revealing info over time etc.

Definitely. Anything is possible, and often fact is stranger than fiction… you truly never know! The people she lived with are clearly on drugs, actively. We don’t know what other associations PB has. We don’t know anything other than what we have been told.

I want to add, just because a statement has been made; that doesn’t make it true.

For example: “I am rich and I’m sharing all the cash I have with everyone on this post..!” (I wish)
