Poor Pheobe . So close to escaping the house of horrors she was living in . My heart breaks for her.

Where I think he caught himself clearly lying was saying Pheobe was not packed yet.

We know she texted her friend a few days prior saying she was packing.

If we assume she really DID have a huge duffel bag--and remember Pheobe had also told people she was hoping NOT to return, so a bag with everything important to her makes a lot of sense--it would have been fully packed. I bet she put everything she owned inside it.

I think she probably did flip out and something happened in the house--i.e she hit the tv but was probably thrown into it. (Head injury.) Edited: And this new detail about missing money? Again, could it be partially true? WTH is going on with them living in such a dump and having that kind of cash laying around?

They may have even left her alone to try and cover brusing etc with makeup. Weird as it sounds that could be true. Maybe the two left to talk privately, to try and figure out what to do and when they returned Pheobe really was gone? IF Pheobe had a head injury she could have taken her bag, left and gone off.

Did the flatmates then kill her? Did she die? Or did someone else pick her up? Or is she out there somewhere with amnesia or something equally unbelievable? I know the last sounds totally bizarre, but it HAS happened.

If he’s charged does he appear in Bundaberg court today?

How long after the 8 hours can they really hold him uncharged even with a Magistrate extending the time?

Was he at Bundaberg police or Gin Gin yesterday?

Can we assume with the media presence he wouldn’t have left custody overnight without being noticed?

I don’t understand WHY he would have admitted to such a weird story of stopping 1km away for her to calm down! That would make it worse surely? Unless police have proof (gps or otherwise) that they did stop.
It feels like the rest of his story (her emotions, sleeping in etc) was specifically and very purposefully building to that one particular moment

IMO because the DM will have been grooming him to speak, building a relationship over time.

Also offering cash payments and he is likely skint and out of business, whatever business he was usually in whether it be dealing or cleaning or dog breeding or such he's clean out of business.

The journalists may be aware of a lot of data the police hold that is true fact but has not gone to press. They would have been verbally putting that to him. They'd be saying to him 'hey you know they have the evidence of your vehicle being in x, y, z location and this is your opportunity to speak out and tell your side because they're going to arrest you any day soon and then you'll not be able to'.

JMO but something terrible happened at 0500
It involved screaming and violence (the smashed TV)
JW and TB have acted together, whatever they did and are covering for one another
Police declared the vehicle a crime scene and the house a crime scene, they know what's happened

Maybe PB really did want to be up at 0500 and it irritated the others?
Maybe JW did something sadistic to PB such as rip up her passport or something devastating
It seems unlikely PB would travel with a large hold-all bag the size of herself, unfeasible
It does seem possible that PB was stuffed in that bag, maybe bound and gagged?
Maybe she was tied up with the trackie pants or stuffed in them
Maybe the trackie pants and holdall were used to move her from one dumping place to another
Why are the pants described as brand new?
Is the death of multiple dogs in any relation to what has happened, ie the dogs had died due to some accident or misadventure and this caused a huge fight?

You first posted that they may have kicked her out on Smauels rd, which I've said is most likely improbable because she would have been seen on the CCTV, it wasn't dash cam footage from a moving car.

Even if she got out of the car on Airport Drive, no one saw her, no CCTV footage from the Airport.

A six-foot lady with long red hair and a large duffle bag, and no one saw her.
It's a busy road; how could no one spot her or miss her on a dash cam?

That doesn’t surprise me . I don’t believe he’s involved in her disappearance . So there wouldn’t be a need to fly over to interview him in person .

TB may have freaked out if she heard he was doing an interview with the media & told police information. Now they are trying to get him to lead them to her body that’s why he hasn’t been charged yet. They want that last solid bit of evidence from him before putting him before a jury without direct evidence.

The track pants detail is ludicrous. A teenage girl off to see her boyfriend wants to look her best, pretty and lovely. So she is going to arrive wearing overly baggy men's track pants to make an impression? Even the waistline would be oversized on her slender frame. Concerned about her make up, but ok with looking sloppy ? Why these pants when all she needed was one of her own outfits that were right there, even if in a huge hurry. gmab.

Yes, he made sure to include his "new track pants" and Tanika Bromleys make up bag.

There was commotion at the house that morning because the neighbour called the police, who didn't arrive.

PB makes contact with her BF at 8.30 ish. 6.30 WA time. Not unusual for teens to be on their phones early, especially when both would have been excited to see each other after being apart for a while.

He inserts his own track pants into the story. Why? IMO there is no way in hell she wore them for her flight. Just looking at the size of them both makes that obvious. In an earlier text sent to her friend about her excitement of getting away for "10 beautiful days" and away from who is she calls "duckface". Can't see her wanting anything at all connected to him. The least of all his clothing. No those pants will play a part for sure though. Maybe it was one of the things buried because it had blood or other DNA on it. That would explain why he inserted them into the story. His pants might be one of the things found by police already or one of the potential things yet to be found buried somewhere.

Tanika Bromley make up bag. Why insert that into the equation? One would imagine PB is up at the crack of dawn, 5am, given the neighbours account of yelling at the house, dogs going off and police being called. Up and dressed and make-up applied, hair done and whatever else.

The make-up bag. What size is it? What is it made from? How big is it? All these Qs.
Was it one of the items police took from the car when it was declared a crime scene?
Was it an item yet to be found or has already been found by police in one of the areas?

He could have not said anything at all about these 2 pieces of property owned by both TB and JW. But no, he included them in his story.

Either he knows police may have already found them or that they will find them.

It's the inserting of the duffle bag, "the size of her" , that is the most concerning in what he says.

A duffle bag the size of her? A slim young girl carrying a duffle bag the size of herself. 180cm tall? For a 10 day holiday. With baggage restrictions of 20kgs. And he says she has a duffle bag the size of her ?

That's not a duffle bag.
