Australia Australia - Pheobe Bishop, 17, failed to board a scheduled flight from a Queensland Airport. Last seen Airport Drive, Bundaberg, 15 May 2025

Tanika Kristan Bromley, 33, has been charged with two counts of authority required to possess explosives, and one count each of possessing/acquiring restricted items and unlawful possession of weapons.

Police allegedly located a shortened firearm, ammunition, and two replica handguns during a search of a grey Hyundai ix35 at the centre of the 17-year-old’s disappearance.

This isn’t adding up.

Who would ever be asked to be dropped outside an airport with luggage (even if it’s just carry on/ hand luggage?)
Nobody would!
You ask to be dropped at the terminal or the terminal and gate/ or at the area closest to the specific airline you are flying.

Unless you are meeting someone for a nefarious action/ drug meeting or unless the person dropping you off is in a great hurry to get somewhere like a work meeting.

I don’t think Pheobe asked to be dropped off “in the vicinity of” the airport.

Why bother driving someone all the way to the airport if you aren’t dropping them off in the right place? That’s not right.

Based on the fact that police are asking for witnesses who have seen the car in question/ dash cam video/ sightings I suspect that the car in question was not where the driver said it was.

Motive could be something of a sexual nature or drug nature or money dispute or jealousy.
I doubt this was a situation where roommate(s) would have sold her into trafficking?

She was in a dangerous place living in a filthy home with at least one animal abuser.
We all know what they say animal abuse escalates to…..

Video cam footage should show whether she even can be seen riding in the car or if her body may have just been transported in the car that fateful morning.

If I had to guess I bet something nefarious happened the night or two before P’s intended journey. I think the call/ text to boyfriend was staged and I think the drive near the airport was staged. Then I think someone intentionally disengaged her phone.

I’M ALARMED THAT PHEOBE DID NOT CHECK IN FOR HER FLIGHT.
She would have received text messages and/or emails to check in the day before her flight.
I don’t think she was able to check in - I don’t think she was alive the day before her flight.

It would be good to know when someone actually talked to P last before her disappearance.

I expect there will be an arrest or two presently though maybe not in the next few days.

Sadly I’m expecting another Samantha Murphy situation- I don’t think Pheobe will be found. Too many good hiding places in Australia. I hope I’m wrong.

All IMHO

I don't think it is suspicious to be dropped at Airport Drive if the driver is rushed for time. If you enter the terminal, you have to take a ticket and park unless you're using the drop off zone which only fits a few cars and is usually full of people who have parked. That said, she was dropped off between Qantas flights, so it may not have been busy. There was a Link flight leaving around that time though so it may have been busy and you can see the drop off zone from Airport Drive. Not getting dropped inside the terminal is not suspicious. PB arrived very early for her flight, so perhaps she planned to check her bag and then walk to the shops close by.

IMO

Latest QPS update is out.

So they've removed evidence from Good Night Scrub once they obviously realised police were on to them.

Now that's actually a really good point. You can check in early online and you do get emails/sms about it. Not sure about that particular airport - I have never flown from Bundy. But I'd assume it was the same.

A young girl excited for her trip - I can imagine would have jumped at the chance to check in online.

Very strange.
The only thing I can think of is that she booked her flight through a travel agent. Or someone else booked her flight for her.

Update 4: Missing girl, Bundaberg
QPS Media on May 26, 2025 @ 12:32pm
Specialists police, including the Dog Squad, are working alongside aerial assets and the SES in the continued search for missing 17-year-old girl, Pheobe Bishop.

The ongoing search will centre on the greater Good Night Scrub National Park and the Gin Gin areas.

Some items, believed to be linked to the investigation, have been located during the search and have been seized for forensic examination.

Police have now expanded the search area and have renewed their appeal for information after recent investigations show some evidence may have been moved from the Good Night Scrub area, prior to police arrival.

Detectives are now appealing to anyone with information, vision or sightings of a grey Hyundai ix35 between May 15 to 18 in the greater Gin Gin area to contact police.

Pheobe has not been seen or heard from since May 15. She is described as approximately 180cm, pale complexion, long dyed red hair, and hazel eyes.

Investigations are ongoing.

Awesome. All part of the strategy. Not long until more serious charges follow I imagine

Maybe once she comes down off the drugs in custody she might have a change of heart and start taking
I keep seeing people mention the males history on social media etc. But court records can find no such thing.

Yes my thoughts exactly. Maybe a spell in the cells will loosen her lips.

IMO it looks to me like the female is the main perpetrator here. The male looks to perhaps be an accessory after the fact.

If my read is correct, JW was likely a victim of DV, in my opinion. If so, taking her away from him will get him to speak, perhaps.

The housemate said she was dropped at Airport Drive, which doesn't strike me as suspicious as that is done. Airport Drive does not have any obvious cameras facing the road. Once you enter the Airport Terminal, then yes, there are cameras.

One thing I am curious about is why she was dropped at 8:30am. Is it because she wasn't used to flying and wanted to get there early? Most people would check in online prior to the flight, especially for Qantas and the fact she didn't may be evidence that she doesn't fly often. Or did her housemate drop her on her way to work (if so, then she has an alibi)? Arriving at 8:30am for a 10:10am flight is exceptionally early for the Bundaberg Airport. Arriving at 9:30am would be the norm.

IMO
60 - 90 min for connecting with a domestic flight on the same day, putting 8.40 / 9.10 am within the recommended time, depending on her ticket. Coupled with excitement and maybe not a frequent flyer, I can see her following the recommended times.

So does that mean she has kept the sawn-off shotgun in the car after already being charged with this and before her court date in June?

That's for Link, not Qantas. I'm speaking specifically about the Bundaberg Airport. 8:30am is early for a 10:10am flight.

So that doesn’t say she was refused bail at her court hearing today? Hopefully she was.

Superannuation. It is mandatory that part of your salary is held until you retire. Some policies offer insurance for a small deduction of the amount paid into your super account, but I am unsure if a 17 year old with no dependents would tick the box to do that.

Was she still at school?
Thank you for the explanation! I was really down the wrong path with that one. I was trying to tie the term to the roommates somehow. So it's basically Australia's version of our CPP in Canada! Totally get it now :)

Helicopter 1hour from GNS flying low and slow. Fixated on one area.
(This MAY not be relevant and is labelled a private chopper)
