New article about the case:

No new information that I could see, except I haven't seen this mentioned before:

"Police are also reviewing Pheobe’s recent social media activity, which indicates she had not been in contact with her mother and had been “in and out” of home for several years."

"Cadaver dogs
have been brought in
as the search for missing teenager Pheobe Bishop continues.

:(

Queensland Police deployed the canines
at the Good Night Scrub National Park
just outside of Gin Gin,
an hour away from where Pheobe was last seen, on Sunday."

Footage of car ‘central’ to investigation of missing Gin Gin teen emerges

“The car that missing teen Pheobe Bishop was reportedly travelling in the day of her disappearance has been spotted in CCTV footage

The CCTV footage is timestapped 10.30am May 15 – two hours after Pheobe was alleged to have been dropped to Bundaberg Airport to fly to Brisbane.”

The Courier Mail and News.com.au have both put out articles showing CCTV footage of the vehicle, however the vehicle shown in the footage appears to be a Kia Carnival or similar, not the Hyundai mentioned before:

From the Courier Mail:

"Vision of the vehicle at the centre of the police investigation into missing Gin Gin teenager Pheobe Bishop has emerged online.

In CCTV footage posted to Facebook, which has since been deleted, a vehicle which appears to be the grey Hyundai ix35 can be seen driving through a backstreet of Gin Gin.

The footage was captured just after 10.30am on May 15, only two hours after Pheobe was alleged to have been dropped to Bundaberg Airport to fly to Brisbane.

The footage comes as the homicide squad and police dive squad continued their forest search, but she was yet to be found as at sundown Saturday."

For reference, an example of what a 2011 Hyundai ix35 looks like on that angle (NOT the car in question, just a photo taken from Google):

this is confusing.

Has an actual audio phone call at 8.30 between PB and BF being confirmed.

Or was it a text at 830 to BF. Which does not mean it was sent by PB.
The phone allegedly pinged near the airport.

That dose not mean PB.

If she was at the airport there would be footage.
Exactly.

May 15

No CONFIRMED phone call made to the b/f

ONLY that her phone was detected the morning of May 15

Police also confirm PB did not make it to the airport

Police said her housemates were the last to see her when they said they dropped her outside Bundaberg Regional Airport at 8.30am.

"Police have reviewed CCTV from the airport, which indicates that she did not enter the terminal," Thompson said.

"We're quite confident that Phoebe didn't make it to the airport."

“Her phone has been switched off from this point. She hasn’t contacted anyone at all, no one has seen her.”

May 16 PB mother put out a plea for anyone who has seen PB to contact police.

If the source is a relative/relatives
I guess
they have this info from the bf himself.

JMO
Well until it's confirmed, its anyone's guess.

Same as the family saying what she was wearing and where she was dropped off.

Only 2 people would have known what she was wearing that day and it was the ones that drove her to the airport

Exactly.

When the boyfriend was interviewed, he hasn’t actually confirmed that Pheobe did ring him, he has only stated how upset he is.

“Pheobe's boyfriend told 9News yesterday that he was devastated and couldn't believe the situation was real but was holding up okay.”
Exactly

Her phone pinged in that area at 8.30

Her mothers post for any information said, her phone was detected the morning of May 15

  • #393
Does it mean the family lied about the phone call?
Why would her relatives do this?
What would be the purpose? 🤔

I bet
they talked with bf when the girl was missing.
And they probably got this info from him.

Besides,
It is easy peasy to check it.

And as I see it,
Police are tight lipped
but...
family not so.

JMO
Her family didn't lie.

Her mother said, phone last detected the morning of May 15

It's in PB mothers post asking for help to find her.

And sometimes "another relative" can get information mixed up. imo

We don't even know who the "another relative" is, other than it seemingly was not Pheobe's mother.

There is a substantial time difference between Qld and WA. 8:30am in Qld is currently 6:30am in WA. 8:30am in WA is 10:30am in Qld.

imo
Exactly

[Mod snip] About half an hour ago, I saw two choppers head over my place in the direction of GNS. Yellow and blue choppers, like the rescue ones. I checked on FlightRadar, and could see one chopper only, it was slowing down over GNS, but not slow enough to land, it disappeared, I refreshed the page and it was gone.

Have had trouble with FlightRadar before though, it shows planes fine but the choppers pop in and out, so it really means nothing, just an observation.

I live between Gin Gin and Good Night Scrub. About half an hour ago, I saw two choppers head over my place in the direction of GNS. Yellow and blue choppers, like the rescue ones. Thanks for sharing!

How would you describe the GNS area? Is it accessible by car?

And I have a question for the locals too,
as I live on another continent.

About the name
"Good night Scrub"???

Like, you know,
Good cleaning before going to bed???

Sorry,
but it was the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this name!!!

Sooooo interesting!

Bear with my curiosity, please!
