Australia Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard - Kendall (NSW) #79

Can/will the sister give evidence to this inquest?
Are you referring to the FM's sister?

JMO - FM's sister should have been able to relate more of the conversation between herself and the FM (And maybe the FGM who might have also been in the vehicle) ... especially in relation to the 2 cars that were purported to have been seen by the FM earlier before William disappeared on that fateful morning.

"18 September: Foster mother picks up relative from Port Macquarie airport and suddenly remembers three strange cars being in Benaroon Drive before William's disappearance.

Gives second police statement, at Port Macquarie, and says while searching for William on September 12 she heard a quick, sharp high-pitched scream from the reeds and a grassy knoll.

The sound was "like ... when a child hurts themselves" although "maybe it was a bird".

Why was this statement given at Port Macquarie?

Speaking exclusively to news.com.au’s podcast on the case Witness: William Tyrrell, Paul Savage said he spotted part of a child’s Spider-Man costume – matching the one William was famously last seen wearing – a day earlier than he had reported to police.

Now, the 80-year-old has revealed to news.com.au that he did see part of the suit on the first day.

Mr Savage said William came to mind when he saw half the suit but as it was only the top, he thought to himself, “I don’t know about that”, he claimed.

One the second day, when he said he saw the whole suit Mr Savage “thought it was probably his” – meaning William’s.

“I felt hopeful. I hoped we could solve the case,” he said.

Asked why he didn’t tell the police of his sighting on the first day, Mr Savage said: “I’ve left it a bit longer than I should have but it will come out eventually.”

snip

other detective, Mark Dukes, who is still on Strike Force Rosann told a separate court case in 2019 that Mr Savage “should not be written out”.
“There was no exculpatory evidence that I was aware of that could completely eliminate Paul Savage from the investigation,” he said at the time.

This was a great episode. PS can never be eliminated since he had 2 hours which he said he was alone drinking tea. He says there was another 30 minutes where he was searching but got lost. The constant talking to himself and saying “they will never know it was you” “l had to do it mum”.
He really showed he was quick to anger in those interviews and the delusion was on another level!
There’s more circumstantial evidence against him than the foster mother imo

I agree

A few things I found interesting.

Can certainly see why GJ went hard on him & as I've been saying what seems like for ever , he had a reason.

The Walk 4 William on the 1st anniversary, was at the Kendall Showground was a covert operation. The people involved in the search were invited ,they had a book to sign, if you signed the book there was a chance to win a pre-paid visa card , in case the perp was among the people who where at the showground & who signed the book.

PS was adamant HS left @10:38 ( he also said 10:37 at the inquest ), but CCTV shows she must have left about 10:30. Did she pass the MFC?

What stuck out for me was when Paul Savage mentioned whether he should tell police about the two boys. I’m kind of obsessed with the two young paedophiles, when William went missing I doubt these two were ever questioned. The youngest was still at school as far as i know.
I think they were capable of abducting William, considering the crimes they went on to commit.

Did anyone who attended the last lot of the inquest a few weeks ago, catch the date that the NSWPF- SFR said they did the FFC's reenactment of "the drive" with her at all??

This was spoken about in the NSW CC video that was played.

They mentioned that the FFC & MFC were up in Port Macquarie when the FFC received a call from Detective Mark Dukes, but I missed the date that was said.

Are you able to elaborate please? I can’t remember this.

Really enjoying the pod, especially today’s release.

More on (childcare worker) Timothy Luke Doyle and (partner) Steven Garrad here, dated Sept 2020. Seems these cases have yet to reach court:

Dan Box goes very easy on his mate Jubelin in episode 8, he is way too “buddy buddy” with his reporting in this episode and with Jubelin overall.

Some of the decisions Jubelin was making before they took him off this case were absolutely outrageous.

Pursuing an old man who was showing signs of going senile! No wonder many work colleagues were doubting the direction Jubelin was taking this investigation.

IMO PS is NOT a criminal mastermind who has got away with Australia’s highest profile missing persons case.

FM is 1000 times a more likely suspect than PS and BS IMO.

Yeah I totally agree about PS. If he'd done it WT would have been found easily I think, he's just not capable of pulling such a thing off IMO. I do get the sense he's been just maybe covering something up that he's very uncomfortable knowing and equally uncomfortable telling, moo

These others though, given what they've been charged with... especially if WT got a headstart beyond the 5 or less minutes than it was said he was unsupervised, I think there's a good chance that's a scenario worth looking at

It’s been an age since I posted anything so I apologise if this has been bought up. Speech analysis is a subject I find fascinating, I’ve been listening to the News.com.au podcast and was just listening to the latest episode.

One thing jumped out at me massively. Its something PS said to GJ in an interview. When GJ presses PS about why after he went and looked for William on his own, he just went back home and had a cup of tea without informing anyone about how he found nothing and where he searched. PS’s reply is this.

“Well everybody else is making that much noise, what’s the good of me going out there and joining a crowd of people when they’re running around like a chook with their throat cut”.

The last past concerns me. Why say it like that? It’s an odd form of expression I find. It’s obviously a variation of “running around like a headless chook”. Why not say it that way? Why use “throat cut”.

Quite often when people are lying they will let slip true facts in the words they use.

I think the same could be said for words like
“Jumping out of his skull”
“Deathly quiet”
“Hit his head”
Not to mention the fgm within hours of W going missing being concerned about her washing machine being repaired and her decking that was due for repairs the following week.

What do you mean by “concerned”? What did she do?

Words and phrases people use aren't confined to what is popular.
I don't know if other people do it, but I take bits of phrases and adapt them to suit myself.

One phrase I have is on a little stained glass hanging disc that says "Every End is a New Beginning"
For me I say "Every Day is a New Beginning"

I like to think that I have a new chance every day to be the person I want to be and a new chance every day to solve whatever problems in my life.

There is the phrase jumping out of your skin. I haven't heard there is anything sinister in that.

I would say the same for bouncing out of your skull.
There are plenty of phrases that contain "out of your/their//his/her skull.
One I found means a feeling of euphoria. Others meaning drunk or crazy.

There isn't some list of phrases that everyone has to stick to.

It hasn't been mentioned that the FGM was concerned about the washing machine, it was the FM and it was before William vanished that she rang BS.
And it would only be natural to call off the repairs due to be done the next week, and we were never told when they were called off.
