Australia Australia - William Tyrrell Disappeared While Playing in Yard - Kendall (NSW) #79

Mr Spedding on the line; will you take the call?

Nice try, Frank. In-branch bank records are more certain than an anonymous coffee receipt. And a witness who thinks that he saw someone at an assembly where they sang hallelujah. :)

If there were in-branch bank records of a withdrawal (not to mention possible branch or ATM CCTV) I think that Abbott's so-called self-stated alibi would have negated the reason for an intensive search of the property where he resided.

imo

Eyewitness testimony is more fallible than many people assume. The claim that eyewitness testimony is reliable and accurate is testable, and the research is clear that eyewitness identification is vulnerable to distortion without the witness’s awareness. More specifically, the assumption that memory provides an accurate recording of experience, much like a video camera, is incorrect.

Anyway as to your main point, I'm not taking FA's word for his own alibi. He has multiple 'outs' with Martin if it falls through: notice he doesn't say he has the evidence or has seen the evidence himself.

I don't think it is the police who are saying they have proof of where Abbott was that morning. Those are the words from the consummate liar.

I doubt that the police would have been searching around his residence, 6 years later, if he had a provable alibi.

Mr Abbott was reportedly unable to provide an alibi ....

Investigators are focusing on an area near an old saw mill, where convicted paedophile Frank Abbott lived in a caravan at the time of the toddler's disappearance in September 2014.
Armed with brush cutters and spades, officers and SES volunteers also spent hours cutting through thick bush around Walkers Creek next to an old train line.
BS had a provable alibi for that morning but that didn’t stop police searching through every part of his car home and business and personal life and airing it publicly.
PS also had a provable alibi. He was interrogated, recorded legally illegally, publicly named and shamed for years.
See the pattern!!!!
PS had an alibi rightfrom the beginning. His wife. PS was home with his wife HS that morning at the time W disappeared. What better alibi than that can you possibly have. There are phone records as well.
BS had receipts and witnesses who have testified to seeing BS at a particular place at the time W disappeared.
All credible alibis and yet they were targeted perused and presented to the public as criminals

Fm on the other hand doesn’t have a provable alibi. There were no witnesses to the kids riding their bikes, no witnesses to the 2 cars on the street, no witnesses to the drive in her mothers car, no witnesses to her playing in front yard with kids, no witnesses to the 3rd vehicle that did a I turn. Other than her word, what evidence is there to support it?

Yes, I agree. MP has always defended FA.

This is from Caroline Overington (as an example) .....

A tiny church on Blackbutt Road in the village of Herons Creek has become centre of inquiries at the inquest into the disappearance of missing foster child, William Tyrrell.
The church, which is owned by a retired Baptist minister, Martin Parish, is about eight kilometres from where William was last seen alive in the garden of his foster Nana's house in Kendall, on the NSW mid-north coast.
Mr Parish is the pastor and spiritual adviser for Mr Frank Abbott, a well-known local pedophile, who is watching the Tyrrell inquest from a jail cell in Cessnock.
Mr Parish has told the court that he supported Mr Abbott when he faced 20 child sex charges, and won't accept the the guilty verdict until Mr Abbott has had a chance to have his appeal heard in another court of law.

As I remember it, it took quite some time to find a witness who was at the school at the same time as BS. If you look back in the media files there was no one who remembered seeing him at the school and no one in the coffee shop who could be sure they saw him that day. It was much later on that a parent, I think it was the grandkids soccer or footy coach, remembered talking to him at an assembly where the kids sang the song, Hallelujah. This was discussed at length here. This was all under the previous lead detective. Then Jubelin took over, there was a walkthrough video (links are on the media file) and his team found the witness.

I’ve never been satisfied with BS alibi, still seems odd that despite everyone wracking theirbrains to recall him at that particular assembly , no one seemed to, was there only ever one assembly where the children sang “Hallelujah “

What exactly hasn’t satisfied you with BS alibi Kiwi? His bank statement shows a transaction from a coffee shop that morning at 9:45? The witness who saw him at his grandsons school? Attending his grandsons school may not have been something he did very often, so it makes sense that the parents who were there that morning were only aware of the parents they knew as opposed to the ones they didn’t know. We know that the parts B was waiting on to fix fgm washing machine didn’t arrive until Friday afternoon. BS was a POI and rightly so, as GJ stated the “bar set for POI was low”, but BS treatment by police and especially GJ was unlawful unwarranted and eventually cost the state of NSW millions in compensation.

Yes I’m well aware there was a receipt from a coffee shop showing SOMEONE bought coffee that morning, did his wife not have access to it?

I have to say SthAussie that your theory about FA having a plan to rob fgm house is rather far fetched. 48 Benaroon Drive is a dead end street. The locals are elderly and usually home during the day. For a man that had trouble walking it doesn’t make any sense whatsoever to chose a house to rob in such a location. We know FA is a disturbing perverted sick human being but your scenario has to make some sort of sense and I don’t believe it does. RP car was captured on camera in Port Macquarie on the 11th September, the day before W went missing and also in the days after the 12th. If FA took RP car from the hospital to Benaroon Drive cameras would have captured the car during its travel as they had on previous occasions.
Not entirely wrong but burglars/robbers will often case a house before physically doing anything.

If they’ve got a legit reason to be there (ie assisting a semi legitimate tradesperson), all the better.

Let’s say FA hasn’t been completely ruled out, and who really knows 100% at this point.

Geoff Owen visited FGM’s home in the week before William went missing IIRC, to quote on a decking repair job. During the visit did he become aware that the Millers, owners of the property next door were away on holidays?

This comes up in a conversation between GO and FA. Frank heads down Benaroon Drive to case the Miller’s property on the 12th. A possible link between FA & Benaroon Drive.

Episode 10
Another interesting episode! Allana’s behaviour was no surprise. Also not shocked she has documents she shouldn’t and is sharing them with journos (though only Candice Sutton has chosen to publish some of those details). She was right about it being a one way conversation, she just got it the wrong way around! We also learned that the DPP has looked at the brief and asked police to go back to witnesses. Police then asked to put it on hold.

Episode 10

(from the podcast)

The police had FGM's car for 12 months. Took it apart entirely. And still found nothing. Had to have a panel beater replace almost every piece of the car.

Allana Smith immersed herself in the case because she was once a child who was removed from her birth mother and put into foster care.

Allana Smith sure has a filthy mouth. BGM says AS is no longer an advocate for the bio family. I wonder if they regret supplying her with the police brief, which AS has distributed portions of to reporters and on the internet.

BBM - The way she justified everything she has done and said with “l represent the biological family and it’s for the child!!”. Moments later Dan tells us that BGM confirms she does NOT represent them. Awkward….
