This is rich. LVD questioning a witness about the benefits she murdered over -- you can't make this up.

And she’s trying to liken her circumstances (as designated payee for child survivor SS benefits for Tylee and JJ) with CV’s first wife (whose kids with CV were both adults at time CV died). And is also trying to confuse issues of surviving spousal SS benefit with child survivor SS benefits. This is rich. To be fair, there are people who have odd religious beliefs, but no one imagines that they will actually kill children.
MOO, the children were killed, because LVD wanted their money, and they didn't fit in with her plan to live in Hawaii. She killed JJ, just out of pure hate towards Kaye, and Charles Vallow.
It had nothing to do with religion. That was just some sort of justification made up to appease their narcissism. Keeping up the illusion CD and LVD were so holy and wonderful. Even to themselves.
She also claimed that she and Charles lived together at the time of his death, which wasn't true. This witness says "Mother child in care" benefits would not to go the surviving parent if they were not married at date of death. This could explain why LVD freaked out so much when CV wanted to file for divorce.
Just catching up on posts, so this may already be answered. IF Lori testifies, then her past convictions will be revealed. There was a motion about this and there were arguments whether all three convictions should be revealed or just two. So in short, as well as opening a door in cross examination, if she testifies, the jury will get to hear about her past convictions. The State cannot bring it up UNLESS the Defense somehow gets into the details while questioning a witness. What they call “ opening the door “.
LVD came very close the other day when she was grilling Nancy Jo Hancock about her and Charles discussing Lori on their date.
If the door is opened. The State is free to bring it all up.

First question was asked and the witness said “yes.” (Payments DID stop).Technical difficulties so judge added to the record, three questions from jurors
Did payments to LVD stop? (Didn't catch whether it was asked)
Would a person have to pat it back? Objections by both sides so wasn't asked.
Did L notify SS she remarried? No objections so question was asked and answered.

LVD won't have to testify. She's been testifying all along.Just catching up on posts, so this may already be answered. IF Lori testifies, then her past convictions will be revealed. Were payments to Lori stopped? Good job, juror! Way to cut to the chase… They got the gist of the somewhat convoluted questions and answers.Technical difficulties so judge added to the record, three questions from jurors
Did payments to LVD stop? (Didn't catch whether it was asked) * ETA thanks to @Diddian Question was asked and yes, they stopped.
