It was a persistent detective pushing for the crime lab to run new dna tests that seems to have resulted in enough evidence to bring Cathy Torrez's case to trial.

I hope Bob has a detective working on his case who is just as persistent.

I was in such a horrible rush today, but knew I couldn't let Valentine's day pass without posting something on Bob's website. Bob Harrod and Fontelle are really the epitome of a love story.

I found a lovely red rose bouquet, after much trouble, to post a photo of. Then I lost the natural daylight. Then my lamp blew up. Then, at last, I got a decent photo and the story to my (almost) everlastingly patient tech person.

Then I spotted, just before it got put up, I left the price tag on the bouquet. I had to pull everything and redo the photo. :( I was in such trouble.)

The nice thing is that before, whenever I got flowers to photograph for Bob, they just stayed in my house afterwards and seemed to lose their purpose, if you know what I mean? Now, I have my dear departed dog's last resting place in my garden. All Bob's flowers go there. I tend them well, for Bob and my own, lost boy.

Thinking of Mr and Mrs Harrod on this day. We will bring you home Bob. We will.

I forgot; here's the dreadful photo I used with the tag showing, that tech person argued didn't show.

I can see it. It's obvious!

Actually, I can't see it now. Maybe my tech 'helper' (aka mean person) is right, and I'm too fussy. :)

  • #205
Oh, yes I CAN see it! The photo just came out sideways so it's upsidedown, but the tag's still there!

  • #206
That post above made absolutely no sense.

But there's a visible price tag top right in the pic, for certain.

ETA: I'm sorry Mr Harrod has such an idiot searching for him, but I have perseverance, if nothing else.

  • #207
pretty flowers!!!

don't let the tag bug ya!

Zwiebel,
1. You are not an idiot.
2. Even if you were an idiot, your devotion to finding Bob Harrod would far outweigh your idiocy.
3. The flowers are gorgeous at any price.

Again, I have to tell you how much I admire your will and your ability to keep posting in this thread. I too long for the day that Bob Harrod is found and I pray for justice to be served.

Don't be so hard on yourself Zwieb! Can't notice the price tag until I read what you said lol

I woke up to a text about hubs almost 97 year old gram; she was in ICU Thursday night due to her heart stopping. Hubs mom got there at 4pm the next day; didn't update hub till that morning. They disconnected everything once her son got there. I had texted hub for an update; he told me she had just passed. I was very close to her. Never had a grandma. My hub never told me happy valentines which is rare. I decided to go to Walmart to buy myself the biggest heart chocolate I could find; turns out I bought the wrong type of chocolate! lol

Gram lost her hub in 1991. She lost her beloved companion dog a few years ago; then adopted a stray cat who also passed 2 years ago. Gram lived a long life; should have passed away a few times; but always recovered. Doctors were amazed. While I hated losing her on Valentines Day; it was very fitting for her to be with her husband & pets again.

Oh, my condolences to you and yours Roselvr. Almost 97 is a good age, but any age is a hard one to lose a dear one. And it is good that there was no heartbroken husband left alone to mourn on such a special day. I hope grandma, grandpa, dog and stray cat and any other pets they had too, are all together again somewhere.

I don't know if anyone remembers, but there was an awful case of a grandson arrested for allegedly killing his elderly missing grandmom, Catharine Sutton, in Riverview, CA, in 2013. She'd given him a home. :(

It was very strange as it seemed to be to be connected to a minor incidence of graffitti vandalism, near to her home. Catharine is still missing, but her grandson Kyke McLean is on trial for her murder this week. He asked prosecutors for a plea deal in return for revealing where her body is. Prosecutors turned him down. He's pleading not guilty to murder now.

I always think that one day, when police are prosecuting someone over Bob's disappearance, someone else might ask for a plea deal in return for his location. I really hope it's accepted, if it ever happens.

Thanks Zwieb! I used to spend hours on the phone with her; until my grandson got mobile; it's so hard to find time to call her. We're always on the phone close to 2 hours each time. Very hard for me to even find 5-10 mins to call her. Was gonna call her Thurs because my son took my daughter to college for a math class; figured I'd start the beef stew; then call but then daughter texted saying she was ready. Was at school maybe 1 1/2 hrs.

She used to think that I was mad at her because I wasn't calling her every week. Kept telling her I don't have time most days to pick the phone up & dial. She couldn't see numbers on phone to call. It hit me 2 weeks ago to buy her a large number phone as an early bday gift so she could call me but I never got that far.

I'm sorry I never got to call her one last time; but she now sees how busy life is here.

Don't think you're following Kelsie Schelling. I posted this in Thomas Cook's thread. I've helped his mom in the past; put letters together for a book called Letters to our Missing. Pueblo LE are doing nothing for any of their missing. So glad Kelsie's mom is suing. I wonder if Bob's wife could do similar?

Really hope this makes Pueblo LE wake up & work Thomas's case!

I wonder if there might not be a way we could help Fontelle
with this? It seems as though if a fresh new idea or approach could be presented to her, perhaps she might rally and be able to provide some support? On the other hand, she has got to be exhausted by all of this. So maybe we need the fresh new approach, minus Mrs. Harrod? Just to spare her the stress?

I'm really cross. Someone captured my ip address and tried to disrupt my search for Bob. WTH? Maybe this will be the push that makes me go home (I was so sad after my beloved, beloved dog died I left home and still haven't gone back). It's not even my address because I'm couch surfing. Silly people.

Spare Mrs Harrod. This is my opinion.

Nice article. Doesn't indicate who provided the information. (cough, cough) Can't imagine it was any of his family members.

Thanks for posting this, zwiebel.

It sounds like someone here did it. His website; FB profile & twitter are linked. Anyone know who runs the FB profile?

Thanks for posting this, zwiebel.

My other half has a jar of honey and a little bottle of something horribly strong and antiseptic-smelling for those cough days. It doesn't do a thing for the cough but fortunately the person taking it doesn't recall as they tend to sleep for two days after drinking it. I've never got closer than sniffing distance, but believe it is made of health-giving herbs. :)

Here's the recipe for the Kraut liquor I use to cure coughs. I guess I'm doing it wrong as it's supposed to be vinegar and mine's a little more potent, for sure. :)

ETA: I'm not doing moonshining or anything like that, honest!
