Being wasted would only explain the lack of memory of the timeline, lol.

I don't think SIL was 'wasted' so to speak. I would guess the CL would have noticed if he reeked of booze.

Though, if the drinking started Sunday night after the heated family meeting and carried into Monday, some drunks get angry and violent.

Something I hadn't considered, but something to think about.

People with hangovers can be very short-tempered too. I had a builder in my house like that once, for a (very) short period. He could - and did - break anything.

Talking of distant DH's. Oh dear. Mr Z and I are working long distance; I wanted him to help with getting Disappeared new details on bobharrodmissing, and I've kept him waiting for hours while I tried to clarify.

I had a trump card, but foolishly handed it over before I got what I wanted, Lol! It was all very touch and go there for a while, but it's updated. I really, really, hope ID don't announce different details on their website later. We haven't got much time to get the news out.

I'm worrying again. If anyone's a member of ID addicts fb page, can you let them know Disappeared's back? Or even if you're just on fb, make a post on the general ID page, as they still don't seem to know there.

ETA, Yes they do now. Someone's just posted that a family member of a mp has told them the show's back next month. No official word on the page though yet.

"Tex" talked openly and honesty about what was going on at the time of Bob's disappearance to a KTLA friend after the show aired. Further inquiries were that he and RB were having difficulties and he didn't know the status of the case.

His disability from the VA came through and he went back to Texas.

Yes, sorry, no McEnroe. That is what I meant, when the story broke.

I just posted on the SAR page: To me the time frame screams bar run. If the SIL needed a drink on his shopping trip to or from Home Depot.

Lot's of time gets wasted when you want to be wasted.
Thank you for the information. Do you know if he made a statement to the police or intends to?

You confirmed for me that he was a vet. He must have had at least that in common with Bob. :)

The air date is solid, fwiw. ID says it is a go....I dont know why it isnt on a Monday like most new shows...it would have been something to air it on April Fool's Day for sure.

That's a relief.

I am not sure about a statement to the police. He was living here at the time, so probably.
If I can contact my KTLA news guy I'll ask him.

"Tex" did talk to police at the time of Bob's disappearance.
Friends remember him talking about the nephew and his debt/loan and his suspicion of this nephew.
Tex should be back at the end of this month/beginning of April, as per a call to a friend of mine that talked to him last month.
Another friend and I were worried that the family did him in, too!

Yes, I swear I will grill him as soon as I can!!!

Where would I find the most info regarding the grandson?

  • #370
It would be interesting to know when "Tex" first became suspicious of the nephew (he would be the uncle through marriage, then I guess huh?).

Was the suspicion at the time Bob disappeared? Or later when the co-conservators made the 'secret' deal with AH to forgive his debt?

I appreciate your offering to grill him. I'd be careful lest one of Bob's daughters post your private info online and 'blast' you like they have others when they've discovered the identity of those searching for Bob.

Maybe you can suggest he join us? I'd love to hear from another family member.

Court docs. Let me find them and link them over for you. The well being check, and his deposition. I'd probably make sure "Tex" has a copy of some of these court docs too. Would be very interested in his reaction after reading the court docs.

Link to thread with the court docs for this case:

There is nothing to blast about me. I am here and that's it. No FB or social sites.
I will ask him. Or at least ask if I can quote him if he won't join us.

BBM: What????:what: They have done that??? That's a little nervewracking if it's true. Wow.

I'd be more nervewracked if I'd done something like publically show contempt for the role of a cook in the marines. I just don't think they are a wise or deserving target.

Who knows how people's minds work though? Who wants to, when they work like that?

You never feared a random, crazy killer/abductor being around? That theory seems to have floated around quite a bit, but I've never been able to reconcile it with the facts around the case, really.

Lol, you've always got that broomstick to escape on, anyhow!

LOL So true. It would be more nervewracking to have done something to one's father and act like blood suckers waiting for him to be declared dead then to just be a person who posts on a sleuthing forum.

They should be spending more time finding their father. Or more worried about getting caught. Someday justice is going to come to the wicked. I hope Fontelle gets a front row seat!!!! :)

At this point, I don't see how it could be random. It's an inside job. Follow the money, it's always about the money. Who gained the most??? Who is in for the lions share??? And who is going to come out smelling like a rose??? All will benefit.

How hard have they looked for their father??? Did they offer a reward for information about him??? With all that money, certainly they can spare some of his money to find him??

1 1/2 years. They must be getting giddy. They are in the home stretch now. Wonder what they are going to do to Fontelle??? That poor woman. She had just a few short weeks with her beloved Bob.

Wish there was some new information on him. I'm so glad Disappeared is going to reinvigorate Bob's story. Maybe some great new leads will come in. JMO.

Exactly. When even LE says follow the money, you can be pretty sure that's the right trail. And it doesn't lead to Mrs Harrod. She's not the one who walked away from hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt.

  • #380
thanks, charminglane. It sounds like "Tex" has had a hard road. I hope that things are good for him now-and I appreciate anyone who is willing to stand up and do the right thing as far as Bob is concerned. It sounds like "Tex" didnt hesitate.

And as for the intimidation factor-LE has your back. It is just as simple as that, I think.
