Here's the link to the complete transcript of Bob's Disappeared episode, Long Lost Love. Thanks for putting it in the media thread Cubby.

Thank you! I look forward to reading through all of it (I read through some of it at the beginning of this thread).

I'm a little peeved, though; what Netflix is calling season 5 is actually starting with Episode 11 of season 4, according to Wikipedia ("The Road Not Taken"). So Bob's episode is not on there, after all! :( :banghead: Jerks! If I'd had access to Netflix from work I would not have posted that, before. Sorry, all.

I can only see the last person that was with him before he "disappeared". He had the means motive and the opportunity. So, I can't get past that.

Here are some additional pictures that may be helpful in determining what Agnes would be able to see from downstairs while waiting for JeM to search for Bob upstairs (spoiler - nothing)...

Pic 1 - stairway as seen from entry area
Pic 2 - view from top of stairway toward entry area
Pic 3 - back of living room adjacent to stairway
Pic 4 - living room area adjacent to front door (the window is the only one you can see from the street)
Pic 5 - master bedroom (if you are standing at the front door it is directly over your head and is the window you see from the street above the front door)

If you walk up the stairway you would turn left to enter Bob's bedroom and the master bathroom would be accessed from inside the bedroom. If you turn right you would reach the hallway bath and then the 2 other upstairs bedrooms. Someone standing near the front door would not be able to seeing what was happening on the 2nd floor.

Thanks, zwiebel! :seeya:

This weekend was too busy, so when I do get a chance to watch, I'll be sure to report back. Having the info from this thread going in to the episode will be very interesting. Maybe I'll take notes! :)

ETA: I did want to say that I think it perfectly reasonable to ask the CL to come a day early; if Mrs Harrod was arriving the next day for good, why wouldn't be want to spruce the place up for her arrival? And I also think it's reasonable that Bob wouldn't feel the need to tell anyone about it. (I did wonder at first about the key in the mailbox, whether someone with nefarious purpose could have found it and let themselves in to lie in wait for Bob, but I am pretty convinced no stranger was involved.)

According to the cleaning lady, she called Bob to ask if she could come to clean that day and he told her that JeM would be there working. Bob seems like the well disciplined type and the unmade bed and failure to tell JeM she would be there lead me to believe that whatever went wrong at Bob's house that morning happened immediately following the 10 a.m. phone call. It certainly would be helpful to know who Bob spoke with, particularly if it was a banker or attorney and something was overheard that sent JeM into a rage.

Thank you travelbug! It looks as if the very most the housekeeper could have seen was part of JeM's back disappearing through a doorway as he went upstairs - and not even that if she was standing by the front door.

Does the street window situation mean JeM would have had to be standing in either the master bedroom or the living area to see that mysterious black vehicle passing by? Or would a bathroom have a street view too?

that car was in someone's head lol, i bet

Actually, I think I've worked out the answer to my own question. It's no.

That's what I think too. But JeM said he watched it for ten minutes or so, and it would be interesting if he could only have done that from Bob's bedroom or the living area, when he was apparently there to fix the bathroom.

All packed yet?

There is only a window in the master bathroom and that window is up high (and, if the same as others from that builder, would have frosted glass) and faces away from the front. JeM would have to be in the living room, the master bedroom, the front yard or the garage with the overhead door open to be able to see a car driving down the street.

:needdrink:...laughing hysterically...actually, yeah the bulk of it is done:yesss:
( why does he have more clothes than I?)

I would love to know if he rented a rug doctor from Home Depot that morning and took it back that afternoon. I wonder how far back they keep records of rentals?

I think there is something out there about the carpet cleaning, Mahouston69, but my memory is failing me. Maybe that Bob always hired someone, and had supposedly prearranged for someone to call?

I'll have to look it up.

They keep rental info. Especially when you're overdue to return, I think. Do ya'll suppose it's possible that both reciepts were for the same item- and the afternoon one was possibly a refund?

wouldn't CL notice if carpets had been cleaned? They stay damp a while and usually you turn on some fans to get the air moving to facilitate drying, (and try to get smaller stuff of the floors so you don't have to work around it, in my experience)

hmm unless something else could have been rented

A drive by from me-RIP McStay's. They were in the desert the whole time...:( I am firm in the belief that when the universe turns in this way, more people will surface. I am pretty sure Bob will be one of them. There are a lot of people on the ground in that neck of the woods....Keep the faith everyone... :blowkiss:

I guess it depends on when they were cleaned, but yes they would have been damp I would think. I am of the belief they were cleaned during the following two days at some point. LE would know what might have been applied to the carpets when they processed the house initially. jmo.

Grainne, I heard on BBC radio earlier there is very nasty weather heading into the Mid-West. If it is your part of the Mid-West, please hunker down!

Not to worry, we had a few nice little thunderstorms that gave us some much needed rain (crops are in but it's never too early to get a start on the health of next year's crop). Power stayed on the whole time, so by Iowa standards, it wasn't much of a storm.

The damage that was done was well east of here

It has been a while since I read that info, but if memory serves me correctly (it frequently doesn't) there was a media clip of JuM in front of the house the day or two after Bob's disappearance where she states she is cleaning the carpet. Maybe those of you with a better memory than mine can help out.

If you google 'Help needed locating eighty one year old' the first thing that comes up is a video with JuM. It was filmed Wednesday July 29th and shows JuM being interviewed on the front lawn, looking a little hot and shiny. I can't link direct because my ipad won't let me.

In that video, Fontelle is shown arriving. Whether JuM gave her interview before or after Fontelle arrived, I don't know. If it was before, perhaps she had been cleaning carpets? Though I am guessing any carpet cleaning was done Tuesday.
