Just bumping this article again, to remind everyone that an elite cold case unit has been asked to assist with Bob's case. I wonder how they are getting on, and if everyone close to the case has been co-operative?

I know it's been mentioned before that some family members who were asked to take a lie detector declined. Sometimes that sort of information is released when cases are reinvestigated. I wonder if there would be any surprises if it was?

There are two people I can think of that it would surprise me very very much if they'd refused a test if asked, and there is one that would surprise me a little bit.

I've maxed out my tags by the way, so someone else will have to add any I've missed.

I'll be happy to add any tags, Zwie, but I don't know how- are there any missing?

Hi everyone

Longtime lurker here :) I am going to go back & read through all Mr Harrod's previous threads, but I wondered if someone can tell me if AH is his only grandchild?

Out of all the cases I have read about at WS, Mr Harrod's is the one that really breaks my heart. Maybe because he reminds me so much of my granddad. I hope so much that this year he can be found & those responsible get what is due to them

Welcome Madam Poulet!

Yes, AH is Bob's sole grandchild, the son of Bob's youngest daughter.

I don't suppose we'll see you again for a while, if you're reading through all those posts, but if you come across anything interesting, please let us know. You can link old posts here by clicking on the number at the top, then copying and pasting the url in your post here.

Here is a link to an old thread, that shows lots of tags I haven't managed to get in. I miss the quilting one, as that was always a mystery to me.

To enter new tags, just click edit tags at the bottom of this page, then enter them in the box that comes up, with a comma between each one to keep them separate. It's quite easy because when you start entering a tag that has been used before, an option appears underneath that offers to finish it off automatically for you.

The OC Register has a brand new look now, and the stories aren't behind a paywall anymore. I wonder what's going on? I'll have to have a look and see what the OC Weekly says - though it will probably be rude, Lol. I don't know how that lot get away with it.

I'm very interested in the future of the OC Register, of course, because I am very interested in their future stories about Bob.

Hi Zwei- sorry to be MIA, I always muck up my password when I'm away, so I can read, but not post. I have successfully located the "edit tag", (raving genius, I know it!), but am not sure about tags that need to be added?

Okay, I will set a record for the most boring post ever and post the tags, Lol!

Meanwhile......

Because Bob's thread is all about Placentia and is not very, very active at the moment, I'm taking a chance with this post. It's got to be the best thread to ask the question.

Look at this
http://www.city-data.com/forum/orange-county/1569046-looking-information-about-old-murder-case.html

Then scroll down here and look for where someone asks a question about that same case, and relatives pop up immediately. I don't think they ever got an answer. :(

The family sounds desperate for information and resolution to something unresolved, but I can find no trace of the case at all. Nothing here at WS either. I feel such sympathy for them. Does anyone here know anything about this old Placentia homicide?

It's about 45 miles from Bob's house. Around an hour's drive but I suspect it may take longer most days. But this location is not beyond the realms of possibility to me.

The main route shown goes by Glendora. Wonder if there is anyone close to Bob who would be familiar with that route to LA?

I wonder how long it will take to ID these remains?

Please do post the "most boring post ever"- it would feel good to finally be of service!

Thanks for the link, True Crime Gal. It's very hard for me as in the UK identifications in cases of possible homicide are nearly always released within a week or two. And the media seem to start linking any find to missing persons early on too. I always expect the same in the US, and that's not the case.

But that's because it's a very small country with a small number of bodies found I suppose. Two missing people in the UK I have been following may have been found today. Both sets of remains have been linked in the newspapers to their cases already so it must be torture for their families. Both young students with their whole lives ahead of them. I'm so sad as I did so hope one was alive.....

I held off because I was sure believe09 was going to appear and do that magic thing of 'bringing the tags over'. It's not happened though.

Most boring post ever, coming up!
