Good Morning Sleuthers-5 years ago today JuM was about to set in motion a change of direction for this case that would dog her husband for the last 5 years.

Here is what I think-if it hadn't been for the family meeting on 7/26, on this day 5 years ago Bob would have completed his To Do list and would have been eagerly anticipating the return of his bride. The work around the house would have been completed. The bathroom would have been unchanged. There would have been no loan forgiveness.

JMVHO.

Quoting Fontelle Harrod:

"People need to be honest, come forward, and tell what they know."

<snipped>
jem left a note on the kitchen counter telling mr. Harrod he'd be back the next day to finish his "home repairs", but he doesn't return to finish his "home repairs" or help deal with mr. Harrod's disappearance. Odd!

this.

Any reasonable human being will come to the conclusion that the SIL murdered Bob. It really couldn't be more obvious. Did he really think he would get away with this? It's only a matter of time until the right detective gets put on this case and SIL and his wife (and maybe others too) will be arrested. Murdering your own father gets you a one-way ticket beyond the "Rim of Hell." I know you're reading this, so enjoy your freedom while it lasts.

I've come to the conclusion that Bob's inheritors have deliberately not publicized his missing status for the past five years, or asked for help to search for him.

Understandable if they didn't like him. But they loved him. Bob's youngest daughter said so.

What we Hv here is a failure to communicate, or any detective worth an ounce of salt. There is enough to cionvict, don't you just love the old adage means motive oppt. He had it all and should Hv been arrested by now. So....whoever u r handling this case? Get the lead out of your shoes....and take this to your DA. Period. It's very clear what happened to bob. I cite the DA and poor det skills in this case. I'll take the file tyvm.

I see it a little different. Unless it is known exactly where AH was that day a defense attorney for JeM could create enough reasonable doubt by blaming AH to acquit JeM.

Another part of me believes the reason charges haven't been filed is because the DA's office is looking to charge multiple persons at the same time... and not all the cases are solid enough to ensure convictions.

There is no statute of limitations for murder, so if murder charges are forthcoming - there is no hurry......

They did offer that 50,000 dollar reward with 'exclusions'. Though they chose not to be transparent when it came to the circumstances surrounding Bob's disappearance and did not file the MP report themselves. And at least one of them was publicly attacking anyone interested in searching for answers into Bob's disappearance.

I watched Michelle Le's case on Dateline Friday night. What Michelle's family did to find her and what Bob's family has done to find him are on complete opposite ends of the spectrum.

I have to admit, I wonder who the next victim will be after the courts declare Bob deceased. There seems to be no boundaries when it comes to this 'inheritance'. Time will tell.....

In the Disappeared episode, daughter Roberta Brady said Bob would never have used 'the M word'. I don't think I have ever come across such a coy term used for the word millionaire before.

And I don't believe Bob was afraid to use the word - his favorite read was the Wall Street Journal. I think he might have been hesitant to reveal how much money he had to certain people though, in case he found himself coming under pressure.

I also think Bob may not have been much interested in boasting about how much money he had, or the 'better, bigger' houses he could buy etc. I just don't think Bob was the boastful type really. But for heaven's sake, he was born in Missouri. Would he really have used 'the M word' for millionaire?

Bob has my respect for his favorite read being the Wall Street Journal. That publication has been running the most moving, well informed articles about the Malaysian plane MH17 that went down in Ukraine recently. They are just superb. And the journalists are putting themselves at some risk to write those stories too.

Excellent news!

I would like to incorporate Bob's case into my signature somehow. I hope no one would mind?

It would be fantastic, I think. The more bob's name gets out there, the better!

And this is the letter that Roberta wrote, just before Bob disappeared. That's RB who doesn't even like to use the 'Millionaire' word, and, along with her sisters, had 'No idea' how much Bob was worth. They obviously thought he had enough to worry about, going by the letter....

It is my opinion that daughters had a very good idea what Bob was worth.

On a different note, I have been reading these threads on Bob for the past several days. I am on thread 7-5. I cannot believe the repetition from the first thread to the seventh. Even on this thread, I see suggestions, questions, theories and ideas mentioned on thread one. I was hoping as I skipped forward to today's date, there would be news of some type on the 5th year anniversary. Sadly, there is not. Where is Robert? What happened to him? :(

RSBM --

I wish we knew. So far as I can gather from what I've read, the best guesses to your first question are: places a dumpster is deposited. Places aside from the road between Placentia and Running Springs. Places someone who has done even minor work in Placentia, Running Springs, or places between might deposit a body.

As for your second question: based on the things I've read and all that I've digested, I have to guess that it was someone who was close to Bob who killed him. JMO, but I'd rule out the following: It was not his new wife or her family; it was not his barber or her family; it was not his friend Paul; it was not one of his unrelated friends. I also don't think that Paula had a role in this, but I don't know.

I would agree ie) not his current wife or her family, not the barber or her family, nor Paul or any friend. However, in my opinion, Bob did know this person well.

Gee, that is the first time I have read the poison pen letter. Truly venomous.
Only once does Roberta refer to Mr. Harrod as her Father. Cold.
Since at least my early 20's as my parents were starting to travel more (separate planes, just in case) they made it a point that my brothers and I be apprised of their wills, wishes, directives. Unfathomable to me that these 3 witches had no clue that one parent would inherit from the other.
Old enough to know better, too selfish to see straight.
BTW, I have not seen or heard from Tex in ages. I am not hanging out where he used to, either.
I have heard that he is still alive though!!!
