Great point! If she left her dog at home when she drove to Edmonton for one day, would she have asked her estranged husband to look after the dog? That would explain why he had a key, but not why he was there at 8:30PM ... unless he was a bit sloppy with looking after the dog. She was late returning from Edmonton, and presumably he knew when she was returning. Dogs eat in the morning and again at 4PM (in order to finish up before bed), so is there a logical explanation for the estranged husband to be at the house at 8:30PM for the dog?

I doubt that it would have been messy to leave a large dog alone for an overnight on Tuesday until Wednesday evening. Large dogs can manage, small dogs can't.

Totally depends on the dog. I would have never left my large dog home alone - I would have no couch left.

Same with feeding times - animals get fed based on their human's schedule.

Shannon had plans on Nov 27, Thursday night, with her brother. Her last contact with anyone was at 12:30AM on Nov 26. Her last contact with anyone excluding her husband was at about 8:30PM.

I feel confident in saying that she went missing on the night between Nov 26 and Nov 27. The last sighting of her is at 12:30AM Nov 27 ... from her husband. It's not likely that Shannon left her house at 12:30AM and she vanished on Thursday morning. There would be footage of her somewhere, like 9AveSE surveillance footage, if she was there. That would become the new "last seen" location.

Her last location is her home, and her husband is the witness.

Poof.
Gone.

Which report did you see she had plans on Thursday? I was going off the CPS release which stated she had planned to meet him on Sunday.

Shannon MADILL (BURGESS), 25, was last seen by a family member at approximately 12:30 a.m., on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014, at her residence in the 1900 block of Spiller Road S.E. When she didn’t arrive for plans with family and friends on Sunday, they became concerned and reported her missing on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014.

If she got in the car with someone else, there would not necessarily be CCTV footage.

Her last *known* location was her home and her husband was the last *known* witness. That does not mean those are facts.

ETA: Her sister reported on FB that the last time anyone heard from her was FRIDAY AFTERNOON. That puts a while new spin on the timeline, IMO.

Why was Shannon late returning from Edmonton? Did she delay, or was there a situation such that she could not leave earlier?

During the press conference, Erin Madill confirms with her brother that Shannon spoke with him on Tuesday and I thought it was for the theatre on Thursday.

There's clearly no information that Shannon got in a car with anyone, but if she got in a car with someone, that requires a plan and apparently phone records do not lead to a plan. All that is known is that Shannon was seen at her home on Nov 27 at 12:30AM, and now she, her keys, and her wallet are missing. If she got into someone's car, there's apparently no record of it ... as the last sighting of her is that she is at her home.

If she left her phone behind because the battery was dead, and she decided to walk several blocks in freezing temperatures in the middle of the night, where was she going ... barfly hunting?

Go to SB's Facebook page and read her sisters comment... She says the last time anyone they know heard from her was FRIDAY AFTERNOON. That is a day and a half after she was *seen* by JB.

It's totally possible to me that family referred to it as "her home" because it would admittedly seem odd that she was estranged from husband yet they still shared a home......and it might feel "odd" to them to refer to it as "their" home given that they were technically no longer together. Also, maybe it was "her home" prior to her and him getting together (maybe he moved in with her). All that said, I don't think that one should really read too much into it being referred to as 'her home'..........IMO

I think we have been reading this wrong,,, this is from the first news of her missing by her sister. bbm;

Burgess was last seen on Nov. 26 by her estranged husband in Calgary.

Her family found Burgess’s car parked at her home in Calgary, but haven’t seen any trace of her since returning.

With her car and cell phone left at her home, Burgess’s family is at a loss to explain her disappearance.

NOT, their home, but her home.

he last saw her where then, at 12:30am? this actually changes her departure time from "her home"

What relevance would the voice actor interview have with respect to the possibility that she's no longer alive?

I doubt that Shannon is alive. Given everything we know (press statement from sister, voice actor interview, silence, unusual circumstances surrounding disappearance, etc.), it's unlikely that Shannon is alive.

The voice actor interview does suggest Shannon is of sound mind and perhaps suggests that she has disappeared unwillingly as opposed to willingly gone off the grid. Unfortunately this will likely be the case which increases the chance she will not be alive as opposed to willingly going into hiding becoming disoriented as a result of amnesia, mental illness, etc.
I sincerely hope she is found alive, well and flourishing...however, this will unlikely be the case. Too bad.... Based on some medias I've seen involving her in entertainment, she had some potential.
That being said, the authorities need to maximize their search efforts locally based on the chance she could be in captivity or injured somewhere. This will maximize her chances as opposed to focusing on Vancouver and Toronto.. Where if she indeed was found would have likely gone voluntarily and would be ok anyway.

New press release appearing this morning basically reiterating foul play is not suspected and SM may be in Vancouver and Toronto. Apparently there is evidence she is in both places.

As she may be in both cities, might support my theory of a wealthy sugar daddy. Perhaps he is flying her between the two cities on a Lear Jet for various holiday events and shopping excursions. No wonder she doesn't need any money and left it all behind! Hopefully she takes the time to at least Txt her parents and let them know she's Ok. She doesn't come across someone with no personal responsibility at all so I'm sure she'll call in to address the search as well as the terror caused to her family!

According to police, the last communication anyone had with Shannon was on Nov 27 at 12:30AM.
Facebook is not a source. Out of curiosity, was the facebook comment made before or after the official police statement?

The husband owns a home in Rundle and SB lives in Ramsey.

Where does the information come from about the husband owning a home in Rundle?

The interview with Shannon gives insight into her character.
Given everything we know, does Shannon seem like the type of person that would choose to have her family worry so much about her well being shortly before the holiday season? If Shannon is alive, knowing what we know from her interview, her silence, the unusual circumstances surrounding her disappearance, and her sister's statement, is it more likely that she is alive, or not alive?

What I can't believe is the focus on Toronto and Vancouver right now. If she left for these cities she's likely Ok for at least the short run.

They need to focus locally. She has likely met up with foul play but she could be in "Hannibal Lector's" basement right now while the cps focus on cities at near opposite ends of the country. Time may be of the essence here!

When information comes directly from a close family member, I tend to believe it over some MSM. As we have all seen, MSM reports can be inaccurate.

Her sister reported the statement December 2nd. I surmise that SB was last *seen* on the 27th and family received either a call or text on the Friday.

Old school style sleuthing - The phone book for starters. I believe Stan found out additional info.

"CALGARY- The search for a missing Calgary woman has expanded into Toronto and Vancouver".

"Police in Vancouver and Toronto have issued releases saying information has come to light which suggests she might be there."

That information is from last week, and there doesn't appear to be anything new that confirms the tips from Vancouver or Toronto.

"Earlier this week, police services in Toronto and Vancouver issued releases indicating investigators had received information she may have been spotted in either of the two cities."

I cannot begin to count how many times a press release or LE have stated that "foul play is not suspected..." and then it turns out the victim was murdered. Unless they have a bloody crime scene or viable suspect, they always presume that the person went missing on their own volition.

The wording on 660 News link is another case of playing fast and loose with words.
