But if he was on foot and had gotten further than expected, or if he had a ride part way, and then something happened, they may not have searched far enough.

I had this horrible vision of a vehicle hitting him so hard that he was tossed over the side of hill/back road, backpack and all, and just has not been found. I don't think a car hit him close to home, as they should have found traces of the event. I don't really believe someone would hit him and collect his body. It was broad daylight, and really that is not something that happens or even less than abduction.
I know, but what keeps me on the fence is Shawn Hornbeck, abducted in broad daylight while riding his bike, and Mickey Shunick, whose bicycle was found badly damaged and she is still missing. It might be unusual, but these things DO happen. I do wish Mark's actions didn't run up my hinky meter, because I don't like thinking that a father could do something to his child, but I just cannot rule that out, either.

I suppose the ones who were there for the taping are not fans of MR? How convenient.:innocent:

We don't know that, IMO. As far as I know, anyone can get tickets to a TV show. If MR's good friends or family wanted tickets, they probably got them, and were there showing their support.

Mickey was located via a confession, she had been murdered and buried.

I could be wrong, but my understanding is that if you can't post a link to the source, then you shouldn't be posting it. Am I wrong about that? (it would sure make things a lot easier here if I am!) TIA

How can you possibly know that ?

Unless Dr. Phil gave MR tickets for friends, you wouldn't be able to get them, due to the short notice of the taping.

Dang. I have to keep more current on these things. Thank you. But you get my drift.

And then throw in the fact they had to fly out there so most friends would not even be able to make the trip as its not exactly around the corner !!

This works both ways for Elaine as well .

If you look at the MSM videos of when they searched MR's house you will see that the area is all hard surface, so any footprints would be highly unlikely. Someone pointed this out before.

Also, on the prayer vigil event page, someone claimed that the spoke to a detective and he stated the dogs tracked a scent. I wish we could get LE to state something about this because otherwise I guess it would be considered rumor. IF LE could give clarification, it certainly would help eliminate whether Dylan made it to MR's house that night.

Absolutely correct thanks Confusion.

Folks if you don't have a link to the source then you can't post or discuss it.

I do, but if this is a stranger abduction I will be truly shocked. Too many thing has too many things had to go wrong for poor Dylan and a stranger being the only one to come across him is one too many for me.

If Dylan was taken away then all I can think is it was somebody with a agenda against Mark which I don't believe as its simply to contrived . Also any would be abductor would of not be able to guess that Mark would mange to make himself look more guilty ( :cow:)

Why only Mark?

He had just recently moved from an area he had lived in for a number of years. I would think that he would be trying to make new friends.

Why could it not be someone that noticed him after he moved to Colorado Springs?

Why?

<modsnip>

Mickey Shunick disappeared without a trace.
Lisa Pate disappeared without a trace.

A probable serial killer was responsible.

Although I have not recently visited Ali Lowitzer's thread, he is suspected in that one which happens to be Texas and he lived in LA.

The videos I saw did not show all hard surface, though, and I could not tell if there had previously been any snow. There was gravel, dirt and grass. Each of those will show evidence of specific shoe sizes having walked on them. I realize that was 10 days later, but if Dylan had walked down that road, unless he was walking IN the road only, he'd have crushed grass as he walked. This is basic tracking, so IMO LE isn't saying something or the area had been totally messed up.

True.

Not only that but think where would the searchers and LE start?

I would think MR's house would be the logical place.

For all we know maybe LE did see his print and took a cast.

The only ones stating there were none is ER and her group, not LE.

I say Mark because this would be assailant has managed to make Mark look guilty in his sons disappearance .

I don't think anybody who met Dylan in Colorado Springs would make the journey to kidnapp him at Mark's house , why would you do that ?

This is all IMO
