Yes. And this is one instance out of three.

If the first solicitation wasn’t clear, the second two were plain as day.

This wasn’t a joke, and he wasn’t kidding around. Hell, she took it seriously enough to tell certain people close to her about it.
And... KK goes into quite the detail for each solicitation to the point that she states that PF was angry when she didn’t complete the mission!
There’s NO way this was a “joke” or a misinterpretation IMO.

Definitely not. He wanted KB gone and that was all there was to it. Whether he got KK to do it, or he had to do it, it was going to happen. This was planned out by him for months. He thought he was so smooth. I wonder, had he not decided to do the deed on Thanksgiving, would KK eventually have done it, just to please her rodeo king?

Sorry, it really is no big deal to me because she was never under oath in order to assert. It will only be big deal if she takes the witness chair and asserts the Fifth at trial. There is no evidence whatsoever that PF's mother did anything illegal.

JMO

That doesn't seem to make sense. She asserted the fifth amendment privilege. Whether under oath or through her attorneys is legally irrelevant when it comes to the fact that she refused to testify on the grounds that doing so may incriminate her. That was huge news and a significant development in this case.

There may be a photo but unfortunately, there is no evidence KB died on Thanksgiving Day because there is no body therefore there will be no ME testifying.

**warning graphic comment**
if PF took to KB with a baseball bat. he obliterated her.
there will be proof of death via dna brain matter somewhere in that condo.
that will be 100% proof and imo highly probable such dna was found.

I actually agree! It WAS huge news and a significant development in this case.
What are the odds, now, that the prosecution will call to the stand a witness that has never been interviewed by either prosecution or defense (she has her own attorney), has never commented on the case, will be asked to incriminate her own son, and is therefore totally unpredictable?
What is to be gained? Can she confirm the cell phone evidence of when he arrived at the house on Thanksgiving day? Can she say she saw PF with KB's phone (keeping in mind that they had identical models)? Is her refusing to say she saw a bonfire going to incriminate PF more than KK already has?
Many questions, but I'm guessing her being called again is a dead issue. JMO

I’m not sure. A violent beating with a baseball bat doesn’t necessarily mean that brain matter will be present.

There’s the chance that there wasn’t any, or it was cleaned up.

There’s really no way of knowing at this point.

Oh but I do hope that they have some. Poor Kelsey deserves at least a piece of her to be found. No matter how small, it would matter. Not just to the case, but to many people in her life that deserve a clear cut answer. I hope I am explaining myself correctly- a wee bit tired tonight!

I know what you mean. That would put to rest any doubt that some people might have.

I’m just not at all optimistic.

I still ponder how WPPD got the wrong Sheila Frazee in their arrest warrants. How did that happen? Hopefully it will become clearer at the trial.

Search warrants in Patrick Frazee case released to the public

COLORADO SPRINGS – The 4th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has released 22 of the search warrants used in the investigation into Kelsey Berreth’s disappearance.

Among the new information found in the documents included a screenshot of a Facebook post has a similar name to Patrick Frazee’s mother that reads “YAY the witch is dead” along with a photo of a television playing the “Wizard of Oz.” However, the D.A. has confirmed with News 5 that Facebook page does not belong to Frazee’s mother Sheila.

The post was dated Nov. 22 at 4:36 p.m., several hours after Kelsey Berreth was last seen at a Safeway store and on the afternoon that investigators said Berreth was killed in her townhome.

Woodland Park Police said they received the screenshot via Facebook message on Dec. 12, 2018. That was two days before a search of the Frazee property.

I can’t imagine it would come up. It’s not like it’s relevant to the murder case.

I can understand why it was included in the warrant itself (especially because it was received just 2 days before the search of the Franch), but I don’t get why it wasn’t redacted when it was determined to be a different person altogether.

Whoopsies.

brutality and velocity.
think it will be highly discussed by both sides.

the DNA evidence in that condo is KEY to proof of death.

if it was a horrific scene as kk suggests and he knocked out teeth. with no body, brain mater will slam dunk it for the prosecution.
a body wont be as critical as some aka mybelle suggest.

If any of the teeth collected at the franch came back as KB's, PF is toast on the strength of that DNA evidence, alone.

Hell, if that discoloration in the hay comes back positive for Kelsey’s blood, he’s toast on that as well.

I’d argue he’s toast any number of ways here, to include the status quo.

Under Colorado law, evidence sufficient to conclude that death has occurred for the purposes of issuing a Certificate of Death (including DNA), must be reported to the Coroner or Medical Examiner immediately. It would be unlawful for anyone to withhold that information.
Surprise discoveries can happen any time, as long as they are reported properly IMO

Code of Criminal Procedure
Article 2.7 - Missing Person Reports - Unidentified Human Remains
§ 16-2.7-104. Unidentified human remains - reporting - DNA samples
Universal Citation: CO Rev Stat § 16-2.7-104 (2016)

(1) Except as provided in section 24-80-1303, C.R.S., with regard to anthropological investigations, a person who has custody of unidentified human remains shall immediately notify the coroner or medical examiner of the county in which the remains are located and the sheriff, police chief, or land managing agency official in accordance with section 24-80-1302 (1), C.R.S.

Will Patrick take the stand and testify?
Any thoughts - yay or nay?

I don't believe PF will get anywhere near the stand. He has to come across as one of the most glib, uncaring, and defiant defendants that I've followed on WS.

He is absolutely devoid of human emotion and his attorney has to know he is one of the most hated men in CO, right behind CW!

Agreed.

You mentioned CW. I've been giving that some thought, and now I'm wondering:
CW murdered his wife and daughters in CO in August, 2018.
It was huge news everywhere...there's no way PF didn't hear about it.

PF reportedly began to solicit KK to murder KB around the beginning of September:
Affidavit details events leading up to Berreth’s death
SFA:
Between Sept. 1 and Nov. 22, 2018, Frazee solicited Kenney on at least three separate occasions, according to the affidavit.
______

I wonder if the Watts case planted the evil seeds in PF's mind re: murdering KB.

PF's takeaways from the Watts coverage may very well have been the following (incredibly ignorant) ideas:
"CW's mistake was in killing the daughters along with the wife. He should have just made it look like the wife decided to take off and leave them all."
"Note to Self: CW got caught because he got his hands dirty. If I get KK to do the killing for me, my hands will be clean. The cops will never be able to trace it back to me."

I also wonder if the Watts case is the only reason Baby K is alive today.
She may very well be alive because PF concluded it was the only way he could get away with murdering KB.

We'll never know, because unlike CW, PF will never talk.

Having said that, I won't be at all surprised if LE's analysis of PF's digital footprint revealed online searches and articles r/t the Watts case.

JMO.
