What are some of your lingering questions about this case that you hope will be answered at trial?
TIA

1) What info was discovered r/t PF's digital/electronic data, e.g., what did deep dive of his data reveal re: his internet search history, web sites visited, electronic communications, etc.?

2) What were the financial arrangements b/t PF and KK for Baby K., i.e, did he pay her any child support, and had there been any recent conversations b/t them about making the custody arrangements more formal, i.e., had KB spoken about going through the court system?

3) What did PF's LEO bro, aka SF2, say to PF right before his meeting with LE at the Five Guys on December 4th?

4) What did PF's LEO bro, aka SF2, observe while he was there at Ma F.'s for Thanksgiving dinner, e.g., what time did PF arrive at the house, had everyone already eaten or not, did SF2 at any point observe PF's truck outside that day, did PF leave the house again at any point while SF2 was there, what clothing did SF2 observe PF to be wearing when he got to the house on Thanksgiving Day, etc.?

5) Did PF park his truck where he normally did when he got home on Thanksgiving Day?

6) What time did PF leave the house after he came home for Thanksgiving Dinner and what reason did he provide to family for leaving Baby K there while he went out again?

7) What specific evidence enabled LE to make the determination that KB was dead and that manner of death was homicide?

8) Whose blood was on the bottle of bleach and the Swiffer taken from the ranch?

9) Were any of the teeth that LE took into evidence KB's?

10) Did PF get his brains from his mom's side or his dad's side of the family?

SFF

His Google search history will almost certainly not include the following:

How does cell phone location tracking work?

So............Sam was as confused as the rest of us! KK will have a lot of explaining to do, in court. IMO
Won't she though. Do you think she'll reveal the hitmen she tried to hire? Wasn't that your theory or was that someone else? MOO

By definition, the word "positioned" would indicate the dog was placed there (above the bale) and alerted.

IMO, that's the most logical explanation but it's also possible the dog climbed to the top of the hay bales. And, that I know is possible because I used to have a dog who climbed trees. :)

I think it's safe to rule out flying. MOO
I'm all in with a teleporting dog.

If I understand the linked article correctly, the best current science believes that death releases several separate compounds. A cadaver dog is trained to pick up on the combination that is indicative of death.
My observation is that it is accepted that an accredited cadaver dog might err in indicating death on personal articles that carry lingering human scent, and at least possible, in theory, for a dog to miss the scent of death entirely, but there are no cases (that I could find) in which dogs committed both errors while working the same case.
IMO
Dogs Can Detect Dead Bodies Better than Any Machine
You make an excellent point! The cadaver dog alerted on a pair of KB's underwear and near the bumper of KB's car yet nowhere else in the condo that, according to KK, had been soaked with human blood for two days before she arrived.

But probable blood was found exactly where she said it would be.

So it’s a moot point.

Good doggie. :)

Good doggie. :)

I can’t wait for Fido’s testimony. I don’t anticipate him being able to provide much of an explanation though, as he’s probably slightly embarrassed.

He’s also a dog, so there’s that.

You never know what he might do for the right treats. :)

I wonder why not? Wasn't the truck at the same Woodland Park PD impound lot as the green car?
True and the truck would parked behind the Toyota when PF picked up the baby. It makes no sense that they didn't have the cadaver dog examine the truck. They can detect scents even after a thorough cleaning.

What is the two hour window of opportunity please? ty

PF said he last saw Kelsey when they exchanged the baby.

He was caught on Walmart surveillance video with baby K. This led law enforcement to believe that he was telling the truth about the exchange.

However, 7 minutes after leaving Walmart, PF is seen on surveillance video returning to the house, and leaving two hours later.

His cell phone also put him there. When he left, both he and Kelsey’s phones began traveling together.

It’s the biggest lie PF told, and absolutely damning.

Yes, they do. They train for 18 months to 2 years from what I understand.
But they still use their noses to pick up a scent, and different types of dogs are better at picking up specific scents than others.

From what I understand there are over 400 different chemicals a body makes as it decomposes.
As the decomposition progresses, the chemistry of the corpse changes causing different odors.

So maybe it's possible that the dogs were not able to pick up a specific odor in the condo but later were able to pick up the scent from the haybale. Maybe some fluids seeped into the hay. The body was there for a longer period of time, so maybe the dog detected a scent it did not in the condo.

Or maybe the environment in which they were working was a factor. Maybe the barn was cooler than the condo. Or maybe the chemicals used to clean threw off the scent.

There are many possibilities, and we will probably never know why. The dog probably knows, but infortunately cannot speak human!

IMO

I don't agree that there are many possibilities because it was a K-9 cadaver dog and and KK claimed the walls, floors were covered with human blood. I'm betting the dog's handler will testify at trial.

From the same link:

Live blog: Patrick Frazee appears in court for preliminary hearing
Slater: Kenney said that Frazee suggested poisoning a Caramel Macchiato from Starbucks with Ambien and other drugs to kill Kelsey Berreth, she carried some of those drugs as a nurse.
And on cross-examination, Slater said Kenney is the one who suggested putting ambien in the macchiato. She contradicted herself and the defense caught it. Bravo to the defense!
Sam Kraemer
@SamKraemerTV

Defense pointing out fact that Frazee never blatantly said he wanted Krystal to kill Kelsey Berreth. Slater agrees. Kenney felt like Frazee was just “pulling her chain”. Kenney is the one who suggested putting ambien in the macchiato.

Bravo for the defense? I take that to mean that you're hoping PF is found not guilty?

Btw, whose blood do you think KK smeared all over the townhome and where did she get it? MOO

Nope. Sam picked up the discrepancy. The defense cross-examined Slater and Sam tweeted this. So apparently Slater's interrogation skills were such that KK couldn't keep her stories straight.
