Yes she did. Perhaps it's just the other family members Edit doesn't maintain contact with. Hard to know if that may have caused any wider issues.
IMO a video call on New Year’s Eve doesn’t mean they had a relationship or contact typically as it was a holiday and that’s often when people not in contact actually make contact

Yep. it did cross my mind it might have been an "obligatory" annual call or something.

Tbh I live in Michigan the US and wouldn’t even be able to get to Canada if something like this happened.

I’d be loud from here but that’s just my personality. I think a lot of how people respond in these situations is just their natural personality amplified

Not definitively as there seems to be conflicting opinions by locals on here if they could be seen or not and where exactly the cctv cameras start and stop(we know the ones stated by police). The police say there's no evidence of suicide or of them leaving the area. so this means they just don't have enough evidence of any scenario. My point is the sisters went through a whole lot of unnecessary planning, concealing and covering their tracks to just jump in the water at 2am one night. Also possibly informing the landlady beforehand of them moving or ending the lease. Why bother informing her boss of leave if her goal was suicide or tell them anything?

There's many unknowns and don't think we should jump to conclusions about twin suicide without evidence
I did post similar thoughts previously. It seems they planned it for a few days at least and possibly longer for all we know. The longer they took the bigger the chances of leaving some sort of trail behind. Doubtless the police have been trawling through their internet histories and so on. To date it seems nothing has been found as to what may have been going on.

From the press conference the police have said there is no evidence of:

Criminality
Third party involvement
Mental health issues
Financial pressures
Intention to disappear or self harm

Additionally they were living their lives normally with no obvious changes. Basically they haven't found very much. The one area I haven't seen much on is their personal lives. No mention of romantic relationships, friends, or any other sort of relationships in general. So unless they do uncover something or the sisters are found there's not much to go on. We know where they went and what may have happened but currently that's a far as it goes.

I took the article to mean all three sisters don’t have much contact with their parents. The article said Edit doesn’t have contact with the family. The sisters moved to Aberdeen.

THIS is something that I have also been very intrigued by. I feel that even if the girls did not spend much time interacting with a social circle, they at least have coworkers and probably even regular customers who they spoke with often, even on a surface level. In America, the news media would have seemingly already interviewed every person who even vaguely recalled meeting them from birth to present. Is this just a difference in how things are done in UK media? I thought there would have been *some* type of interview from those coworkers or something by now.

The police will have interviewed many people but have no need to tell the public.who they have spoken to.

This is all that I've seen from those who know the sisters.

Owner of Eastern European shop says sisters were ‘more than polite'

The owner of an Eastern European shop in Aberdeen has said that Eliza and Henrietta Huszti often visited to purchase Hungarian items, and described them as “respectful” and “more than polite”.
Diana Popescu, who owns the Authentic Romanian Shop, told the Press and Journal: “We don’t know much about them, besides their faces, that they are twins, and we guessed they were Hungarian, based on the products they were buying.
“We were shocked to hear the news. They are nice, respectful young women who seem to mind their own business. They deserve to have a long life ahead of them.
“No one knows what happened to them yet and everyone hopes they will be found safe. With them being missing for so long, it’s very concerning and it makes you think the worst.
“They came into our shop for few times together, but mostly separately. They were always more than polite.”

Well, that doesn't leave anything else!
It has to be one of those things!

Well, just because there is no evidence of something, doesn't mean that it didn't happen. They just haven't found evidence.

Police said there were multiple phones left behind but that some of them may have been old ones that were no longer used. They also mentioned other devices which presumably would be things like tablets, laptops etc. At that time the police hadn't interrogated those devices. I've not seen any follow ups on this to see if any progress has been made in this respect.
"Businesses in and around the South Esplanade and Menzies Road area are urged to review their CCTV footage for early morning on 7 January and contact the police if it holds anything that may be relevant to the investigation." "They crossed the bridge and turned right onto a footpath next to the river heading towards Aberdeen Boat Club."

After looking at the street view its seems difficult but possible to get from the path to one of the other streets. I see a few missing sections and holes in the fence they may have used before.

Do they have friends in the Torry Area? They seem to know the area and its along way from their apt.

If they sent the text and destroyed the phone and not by an attacker or trafficker, then we can assume the devices left at the apt won't contain many upfront clues as they knew what would be left.

Yes many questions for the police to answer.

Also did they walk the whole way from their apt to the bridge in the cold that night or take a taxi, friend etc?

It's known they walked. It's in fact know that they were down by the river earlier that day around 12 hours prior to their disappearance. Police have tracked them walking from there back to their home. And then again back down to the river until they disappear.

The appeal for CCTV from businesses around the area was early on and I assume some/all will have provided what they have, likely not showing the sisters resurfacing from the area of the path. That area of Esplanade looks to have units with CCTV pointing along the road, and the boat clubs also have CCTV.

I'm struggling to imagine they somehow cut up from the path back to the road without being picked up again.

Any vehicle activity in the area happening around that time the sisters were on that path will also be scrutinised. If police were interested in the possibility they managed to slip into a car which then soon left the scene I'm sure they would be tracking it, and appealing to the public if they somehow couldn't id the vehicle and it's owner/rentee via all of the CCTV and ANPR cameras.

That kind of investigation I would class as a criminal one however (kidnapping, trafficking, fraud etc), and they've said all along they are not treating it as criminal.

Yes, I recall seeing a photo of the two sisters with their brother. I wonder if he has regular contact with his parents. I’m just thinking about family dynamics. It feels like there’s not a lot left to discuss here without any new information from the police or media. I hope the case doesn’t go cold.

Is there any chance they could've been picked up in a boat of some kind?!

It's been speculated that security cameras would have seen any boats in the area.

The units/warehouses on the same side of the road as the river path are no longer there; it's derelict land. Google maps is not uptodate. Please look back to the beginning of thread 2 (possibly page 3) to view pictures of what the area now looks like.
