I've just read all this thread in one sitting. I have questions, many questions.
-Were these 2 women the only 2 in their family to live in Scotland? (Or even outside of Hungary maybe?)
-Were they so inseparable that where one lived, the other had to follow? (Suggests an unhealthy co-dependence.)
-What made them come to Scotland 7 years ago, aged 25? (Love interest, loved the location, fresh start, careers? Note, they both held current jobs, but not careers that would pull you away from your home country.)
-How good was their command of the English language? Reading, writing, comprehension? (Could a lack of English skills perhaps keep them somewhat isolated and misinterpret things?)
-Do we know their dating/living history, both in Scotland and Hungary? Have they been in Aberdeen since they arrived in Scotland? Have they ever lived apart, either in Scotland or Hungary? (By 32, you would assume that they would highly likely have had romantic interests. If there's a lack of this, that may suggest they were isolated and co-dependent)
-Who reported them missing, when were they reported missing, and when were they last seen/heard from by people in their lives? We know the last footage of them (released to the public anyway) was around 2.12am on Tuesday the 7th of January. Did one or both fail to turn up to work and it snowballed from there? Did family have concerns when they couldn't contact them? (The mother last spoke to them on the Saturday prior) Did neighbours have concerns?
-Why were they out at that time? (Especially considering they didn't seem to be wild or into partying - not that that's a certainty. Maybe they were different to what their families thought.) Are there any clubs/bars/establishments that were open, or recently closed, they could have left? (And would fit in the timeline). One of their Facebook pages shows a pic of them together at what looks like a club, holding matching drinks. I haven't been able to determine what the drinks are (they seem to show a MK label on a clear glass bottle with a murky drink inside) but maybe they did like to party and drink? (although they appear to be walking just fine in the CCTV)
-It appears they were walking away from their home - but what were they walking to? If they had walked from their home then the map TonnnnUK posted, shows the sisters roughly 30 minutes away. (If I'm reading that right) How much further was their destination? Was their destination a quiet area, away from CCTV, to either jump into the river, or to meet someone away from prying eyes, for whatever reason. Illegal, immoral, embarrassing, whatever.
-Do we know they type of cleaning one of them did? (Sorry, I'm not sure which sister) Whilst someone (?family member) said they aren't usually out late like this, could they have been going to a cleaning job? Maybe she picked up an extra shift and her sister tagged along for safety? Was she planning on entering a commercial building from that pathway? (In some cleaning jobs, at least where I'm from, the company doesn't really care what time you do it, so long as it's after hours and doesn't interfere with their business.) Heading to a cleaning job at 2am doesn't sound normal, but if there was a club that stayed open until say 2am and re-opened at 8am (gambling establishment, large entertainment complex etc) then that would require cleaning in odd hours.
-How much would a taxi/uber cost to this area from their home? Wherever they were going, would paid transport have been a better choice? They seem like quiet, responsible people who wouldn't take risks. Each to their own, but walking (even together in a pair) this late at night in a secluded area like this sounds risky to me, and best avoided.
-Nothing about their clothing seems odd. They appear dressed for a cold night in long pants, jackets, boots I think? They appear to be walking with purpose (even that's in unison), with one carrying a bag. The bag has been mentioned up thread, I don't think there's anything odd about it. (Except of course if they were going to end their lives - why take a bag?) I carry all my bags cross body like that. It makes it hands free, and doesn't fall off your shoulder if you move around too much. Up thread it's also been mentioned they may have things in their right hands. I don't think so, I think it's just really grainy footage. If anything in that photo looks odd, I think it's their faces. It's not great quality footage, but it almost appears like their faces have been blurred, or they're wearing something white over them.
I'm sure I have many more questions, but they're not front of mind right now.
All my personal thoughts and opinions only.
