The mummified has me stumped - if they had no power- the house here in FL IMO is not dry - it’s so humid even in the winter so what conditions could lead to this ? Mom was tiny - I wonder if she had health issues? This one is baffling especially since how they were found (not In pajamas) patiently awaiting the resultsThat's what I think.... and it didn't work, or didn't work fast enough, so he went with a quicker method.
What does "mummified" mean in reference to a recent-ish death. I only know about Egyptian mummies, Peruvian sacrifices, creepy saints' bones in Canterbury Cathedral's crypt, and Ötzi.
I’ve seen knuckles like that before - came from balled fists banging into a wall over and over againLooks like he hit or banged into something hard. Maybe moving things around like mattresses etc. hit a wall or something. No, I don’t think he ingested rat poison or anything else.
What do the lawyers or the regulars on this site think about whether or not we will ever know the truth in this case? If he confessed and there is no trial, and if he never tells what really happened, will we ever know? What about any secrets he was hiding? Even if he doesn’t divulge them might the cops release that info to the public? I have a feeling there is a lot we don’t know. Some possibilities imo might be
1. A history of mental illness / personality disorder /psychotropic medication
2. Gf or bf, in either CT, FL or internet (other state or country)
3. Some addiction like drugs, gambling, etc.
3. Someone blackmailing him (for some illicit activity like sex, drugs, insurance fraud, gambling, etc)
4. Paranoia, delusional or magical thinking regarding his wife/ kids or both.
5. Involvement with mob, gang, or illegally high interest shark that threaten families for nonpayment
6. Secret desire or plan to “runaway” escape, start new life, maybe even fake his own death, assume new ID
Any other ideas?
PT clinics have of late become targets of blackmail as a lot of “in pain” drug seekers use them to try to obtain painkillers. Motorcycle gangs n others strong-arm Drs n clinic owners to obtained these drugs for sale on the street. They will get them by whatever means necessary including blackmail. It’s a common problem in US right now. Many Drs affiliated with PT clinics are in jail bc of it.
They can’t, but most PT clinics have physicians employed there, as did his. I read about a case recently where a female physician and her PT clinic owner husband were involved in this exact drug ring scheme with some gang. Drug seekers will go anywhere to try and get drugs. PT clinics are full of people in “pain.” They also see them as easy marks. I don’t think that’s the case here, just entertaining theories.I don’t think physical therapists can prescribe painkillers.
I'm not even sure he can be classified as a psychopath, but I'm definitely not a psychiatrist.
From what we've seen of his lifestyle and illegal activity, plus he knew he was going down, I wonder if depression played a part. I think he had a prideful meltdown of biblical proportions. Jmo.
Stress affects people with PTSD more acutely and critically than the average person. Maybe due to his traumatic childhood, he had no chance of succeeding as a business owner with the added burden of being the sole provider for a large family. Once they start sinking, drowning isn’t usually far behind. Their thinking gets clouded, they lose focus and can easily become overwhelmed. Maybe that’s the case here. But I still think there’s more to it.
Does depression cause someone to murder their wife, children and the family dog? I am not a mental professional either, but he didn't kill himself. He was apparently was living in that house for weeks with their bodies and his house was under surveillance by the feds and local LE and they had an arrest warrant for the fraud. They witnessed him walking into the house. Where had he been? Perhaps he went through a drive thru to get himself some food? IDK.
LE calls for back up and had to wait for that, and then AT wouldn't answer the door. They knew he was inside, but he left the door unlocked. They entered and he's apparently at the top of the stairs and LE can spell decomposition and asks him where his wife and children were. He said he thought Megan was sleeping and the kids might be at a sleepover. WTH. AT starts shaking and can hardly stand and he made some remarks and told him he took some pills. Benadryl. A little too late and a little too lame to be a genuine suicide attempt, IMO.
I guess what I'm trying to say is depression may have been at play, but I think there was something that was very wrong going on with AT, and for a very long time. He was unable to function as a normal adult and make good, sound decisions. But he apparently was able to put on a very good act. I've never seen such a convoluted financial mess . Years ago, he started committing fraud. My thoughts are he doesn't seem to really get consequences until they are breathing down the back of his neck and then he gets desperate and does one bad (and stupid) thing after another and each it time it's worse.
IDK. As I said - I'm not a mental health professional but this is absolutely bizarre. I think we will learn even more bizarre things as more information becomes available.
Maybe he threw it away there because he didn’t want anyone to read his texts or web searches, wrongly thinking LE couldn’t access them. How was the person who found it able to text his sister. It must not have had a passcode, which is very odd. And how did he get back home 2 hours away without noticing it missing!? Didn’t use GPS at all? I use mine to check for fastest routes. Must have been someplace he’s been many times and knows the route well. Was he meeting someone at Starbucks? A common meetup place.Jan. 6: Last communication
A family member received a text from Anthony Todt’s phone that day saying the device had been found at a Starbucks in Sarasota and it would be turned over to police. The records don’t make clear who sent that message.
Who or What was in Sarasota!?!? Why the h was his cell phone there, much less LEFT there!? And what was he doing there? And when did he go, before or after he killed them? That’s 2 hours away from Celebration ! Something’s up. No wonder he wants everything sealed. Just like CW did.

I wonder if he stored the bodies somewhere else and brought them back. A cooled storage unit would account for some of what is described.
Well, my thinking was that he could incite the other guys to hurt him, or may make a run for it so someone would shoot him? Alternatively, he could be in the cage because of the crimes he's been charged with. Hopefully, there were not too many on the bench that day who had admitted to killing three people and a dog.Well, that's interesting. I can't imagine why he would be a lower suicide risk in a cage than sitting on a bench like the other fellas. I've seen before where prisoners wear those weird straight jackets at arraignments.
