You know what just struck me- correct me if I am incooret.

In reality , this is global, I can not recall one event like this , wherein in a couple of weeks we get pick one:

- they were on our radar and then we took them off our radar --

they were toatally on our radar - but we lost them --

they were on the no fly list but flew

they were never on the no fly list but were under review to be so

they questiojned and determined not to be threat

they were determined to be arisk but no proof

a nation was warned by another nation but did nothing

they had vague intel but were unable to do anything

or a multitude of other varinets

so......................exactly what is the trillions of bucks , being spent globablly getting any of us anywhere

Putin: ISIS financed from 40 countries, including G20 members

President Vladimir Putin says he’s shared Russian intelligence data on Islamic State financing with his G20 colleagues: the terrorists appear to be financed from 40 countries, including some G20 member states.

Putin also spoke of the urgent need to curb the illegal oil trade by IS.

"I’ve shown our colleagues photos taken from space and from aircraft which clearly demonstrate the scale of the illegal trade in oil and petroleum products," he said.

“The motorcade of refueling vehicles stretched for dozens of kilometers, so that from a height of 4,000 to 5,000 meters they stretch beyond the horizon," Putin added, comparing the convoy to gas and oil pipeline systems.

It’s not the right time to try and figure out which country is more and which is less effective in the battle with Islamic State, as now a united international effort is needed against the terrorist group, Putin said.

Another stadium in the city, which was to host a pop concert, was evacuated as well.

an hour and a half before kickoff on Tuesday that the stadium would be evacuated.

http://q13fox.com/2015/11/17/report-german-stadium-evacuated-after-discovery-of-device-intended-to-be-detonated/

cnbc advised people to go home in a calm manner, and that there was no danger to fear.

So...............................leave.......................but no danger?????????????

I can understand if people knew what was really going on with these threats and incidents the intelligence etc it would cause mass panic and that would not help the situation. People need to be vigilant and as safe as possible.

I just left a concert tonight and was very aware of my surroundings.

Nothing to do with religion at all, much more to do with being a resentful young **** determined to make some kind of a mark, these guys have more in common with the other mass shooters we've seen over past decades than political terrorists IMO.

That's what I thought too - the adolescent, deluded mass shooter with a grudge.

12 people who were killed are still unidentified. No further details of that - whether this is because of their injuries or due to other factors.

Very infuriating to see the terrorists who were likely to have been radicalised in Paris by extreme preachers. We still have this happening in the UK

Daesh is a cult, not a religious sect and, like cults attracts the psychologically sick, traumatised, disenfranchised through high unemployment and isolation and the young who are most vulnerable to their world view. Their leaders are the instigators of terror and very rarely leave their hidey-holes. Typical manipulative bullies. What's the best way to defeat a bully? Act rather than react. Stand up to them and stand united in your principles. Realise that they are more insecure and fearful than you are. The people; united, will never be defeated.

Don't read this if you are feeling fragile

It is a detailed account of what happened at the concert with witness testimony by the special police and survivors of the three hours

A photo of the Bataclan after the attack. Unedited and horrible.

Don't worry - I checked first that those photos aren't in the article I linked, but I knew it still might upset some people hence the warning - the poster heading to Belgium.

What is interesting in the article to me is they wanted to talk to the media during the 1hr stand off with the police. Thank God that didn't happen.

Secondly the typical use of human shields and then asking the man Sebastien to set fire to a wad of money as £ does not matter to them. Oh the irony, for these deluded boy-men - ISIS are the richest terrorists ever, richer than AlQ & Osama put together - they wouldn't exist without their oil and supporters.

some back story on known suspect, 20 year-old Bilal Hadfi

A Belgian history professor who taught the youngest of the known suspects, 20 year-old Bilal Hadfi, expressed her regret for not having been able to steer him away from the jihadi path. Speaking to the state broadcaster VRT, Sara Stacino said she had become concerned about his increasingly violent views and reported them to the college administration. But no action was taken so as to avoid “stigmatising the young student”.

“Everyone is responsible for their acts, but for me he was also the victim of real brainwashing,” Stacino said. “It really upsets me. A young man, 20 years old ... his life could have been completely different.”

http://www.theguardian.com/world/20...ect-believed-involved-paris-attacks-terrorism

BIB - when I worked in education, this sort of view - fear of stigmatising & interfering- was very common, it is not encouraged !!!!

Bilal Hadfi: French but living in Neder-over-Hembeek, Belgium, and became quickly radicalised last year. Went to fight in Syria and then returned to Belgium earlier this year.

Spot on, Bohemian.

But we have to get the "act" right though, it's political/govt/state failure that makes people "react"

The video of the alley and people fleeing and dead, I watched it the other day. And the person hanging out of the window, was a pregnant lady!! omg! I remember thinking how terrified you must be to hang out of the window, and now knowing it was a pregnant lady just makes me feel even worse. Cannot imagine the terror :( And Sebastian, I saw him pull her up, and he had been a hostage. Reading the stories behind what we have seen, it doesn't do it justice. Horrific :(

I know - I have been trying to avoid some of the videos and graphic stuff. Trying to skip past the photos of the killers too - they aren't worth the focus really.

Did you feel better after watching some of the match skibaboo? I did, it was symbolic and therapeutic in some way. Shed some tears - moving to see all those French fans.....
