audio video issues for prosecutor. I really want to see and hear this body cam footage of the conversation with the neighborhood officer (Ash) and the neighborhood residents. I was not aware that Ash had told the men that English had told Ash that Arbery had never taken anything from the property.

I'm sure it'll be played when the officer is on the stand.

This is one of those cases where there is so much info out in the media that it's hard NOT have a firm opinion. I couldn't be on the jury because I'd have to admit they'd have to prove them innocent to me on this one.

I agree- IMO they are guilty as hell- they could not prove they were innocent to me, no way no how- I like the prosecutor so far. This case is so tragic.

She's painting a very good picture.

She is but I would add that these men are not the police so why would he stop and answer their questions and he was very frightened. She is doing very well though. This case reminds me of Trayvon Martin <modsnip>. It is horrifying to me.

I don't know if you have seen her entire opening so far, but earlier when she was naming everyone, she did say that these men weren't police officers. She did not say, however, that he didn't need to stop for them and answer their questions.

I kinda missed the beginning: I am surprised that HLN is showing the trial!!!

oh boy, we're going to see the full length unedited video of the roundup/posse chase. Arbery's final moments. :(

She's addressing the defendants as Mr. McMichael and Mr. Bryan. I would consistently say Defendant and then the name. my personal preference only.

I'm glad they are since the court tv page and abc 20/20 on FB was cutting in and out and it was hard to see the screen when she played a video.

Agreed, I would keep hammering that every time as well.

watching them hunt Arbery down doesn't lose it's horror even though I have seen the footage over and over. Heart hurts for his mama sitting there watching that.

I'm amazed how much "new" evidence has been presented. Most damning, imo, Rash explicitly telling the MMs that English told LE AA had never stolen anything.

she needs to be more clear in that Arbery was fighting for his life during that struggle for the shotgun. Drive that HOME.

She missed a opportunity: she said that the three defendants went back home. I would have then said, "you know who didn't get to go home, Mr. Arbery."

I’m late to this thread so I apologize if this is a silly question.
So they just finished setting up a jury pool to pull a jury from, but the trial is not supposed to start until 2/22?
I have never heard of that. Usually trials start immediately after jury selection. What would be the reason?

Two different trials. The federal one starts in 2022.

Why doesn't the prosecution have someone working the videos...it would go so much smoother.
