dude, your client is not a cop. period. give it up. AA DOESN'T have any obligation to explain himself. doesn't mean the state has the right to now bring in evidence or prior contact w LE who was in uniform.
give it up. not happening. if the judge overturns his decision on that I will literally eat my hat.
The thing is, some people actually do think black people have to answer them. I know from experience all my life in GA as a black woman. I have a lot of incidences I could tell you guys about, but I don't want to relive them. I'll just say it's a common attitude in some parts of GA. Not all, but some.
Well, actually, I will tell you about one. My brother was getting married in Rockmart. Do not know why they picked that place. My uncle got lost on the way to the place and pulled over to figure it out. He got asked what he was doing out there by someone white and he got told "you'd better get out of here, boy."
I think that's why they didn't want black people on the jury because black people understand what AA went through. White people might not because they really do not get treated that way unless they are considered poor or trash.
