You’re joking I hope…

The owner did not think he took anything ever. They suspected other people of taking items. On tape, Arbery is seen looking and touching but not taking. We will never know what he thought because he was chased, trapped, and murdered in cold blood.

Ahmaud Arbery defendant asks for plea deal, Arbery attorney says

Defendant Bryan in this case asks for plea deal and turned down flat!

‘That's 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬’: Arbery Murder Defendant Denies Reports He Sought a Plea Deal

An attorney for one of the defendants in the Ahmaud Arbery murder case has denied reports that he tried to make a plea deal with the prosecution.

When asked by reporters on Friday about those reports, Kevin Gough, who represents William Bryan said, “That’s ********.”

“What’s ********?” asked a reporter.

“I’m not getting into it with you,” said Gough. “Denied.”

“Denied, denied, denied,” he added. “I don’t know what y’all talking about.”

According to CBS News:

Lawyers for one of the defendants in the trial of the killing of Ahmaud Arbery have asked prosecutors for a plea deal, Arbery family attorney Lee Merritt told CBS News. Merritt said the prosecution “turned it down — flat out.”

The request came from attorneys for William “Roddie” Bryan — the man who admitted to pursuing and boxing in Arbery with his vehicle and filmed the fatal shooting in Brunswick, Georgia last year, Merritt said.

Merritt told CBS News he believes the request means Bryan is “concerned about the strength of the state’s case.”

Bryan is on trial alongside Travis McMichael, and his father, Gregory McMichael.

“He’s as culpable as the other two,” Merritt said of Bryan.

Perhaps had he attempted a plea deal before the trial, assuming he would testify against the other 2, the prosecution might have accepted. Too late now.

But looking and touching is grounds for mur…I mean self-defense in these parts, dontcha know. Especially if you got the nerve to be where you don’t belong. You can’t blame the neighborhood for thinking you’re up to no good and them gettin’ a little twitchy. You gotta know your place, and it’s not here. And besides, we gotta protect our wimenfolk from the likes of you. You were just too uppity for your own good when you kept running and wouldn’t answer us. You brought all this on yourself boy.

**Sarcastic parody—in case it wasn’t obvious to most of us** But unfortunately, I fear that this mentality will let those three men walk.

I hope not--though I know that could happen

I have come to believe that TM took the stand to draw the charges to him and him alone. I think he is trying to get his father exonerated (probably doesn't care about WRB). There was no reason to take the stand given what he and his attorneys knew the pros. would hammer him on. So, why else? Other than drawing the verdict to him and him alone given that dad was along for the ride.

I've done it myself.

Many have. I remember as a kid playing in a church and a house under construction.

As an adult I walked through a 1 room schoolhouse being renovated. Oh, and an abandoned old farm home and barn.

Interesting stuff.

I think he took the stand because he's claiming self defense -- probably thought he needed to tell the jury directly about AA allegedly grabbing for the gun and feeling like he was in a life or death situation. Likely thought the jury would expect to hear from him given his self-defense assertion. JMO.

He made sure to mention his son and show emotion over his son. I think he specifically wanted the jury to hear/see that.

"I was thinking of my son," replied McMichael, his voice quivering. "It sounds weird, but that was the first thing that hit me."

McMichael told jurors that Arbery was overpowering him, and it was a "life-or-death situation" when he pulled the trigger.

Why hasn't that policeman who told the lie to AA's mother been charged with anything?

I believe the officer denied it.

When he mentioned his son I thought about his father/co-defendant, GM. If I understand the testimony correctly it was his father who initiated the pursuit of Arbery. Had that not happened, TM would likely not have gotten involved and AA would likely still be alive. JMO.

I disagree. I think that he and the other two thought that they had every right to chase him and even kill him. The expletive at the turning him over, says it all to me. They think that they still have authority over black people.

So, I wonder what he told her about how her son had died? Do we really believe that the officer told her he was chased because three white men suspected him of 'something'?

The DA has been.
Well good for that, but the LE should also be charged IMO. I hope AA's mother sues him for defamation of her murdered son and lying.

So agree.
