I dont know what to think about the relationship between GH and his kids. I just think it was the way it was, he spent a lot of time away from home, so maybe they weren't that close? but not estranged. To him , maybe that he provided for them was what mattered. He was more of a loner type, and they also knew Betsy was a very good caregiver ( as theyve said in interviews) everyone just went on living their own lives. I guess I dont find it super odd in this situation.
IN interviews Ive read, they dont just mention their dad, they also mention how grateful they are to Betsy.

Betsy is the same age as his daughters, and 1-2 years younger than his son.

I get it, and I understand the speculation, at the same time I think it's too early to say anything.

I don’t. Nothing nefarious here at all.

Even after the autopsy concluded & they still had no idea what happened to them?

The autopsy isn't concluded; not until toxicology comes back and a final report is made. This one happened close to me. Actress Alicia Witt's Parents' Cause of Death Revealed Two Months After Their Sudden Deaths
Yeah, I made another post about it— I’m half asleep or I would quote it

Anyways, the medical examiner would of been able to quickly determine if they had a brain bleed, heart attack, blunt force trauma, etc… (before being ‘officially’ concluded with autopsy and paperwork etc)

doesnt surprise me, I've seen initial autopsy results one in particular that stated pericarditis, which can be manageable. it took a while before it was discovered that there was a bacterial infection that caused cardiac tamponade. It was so bad they couldnt identify the source. This person was around others and noone even knew he was sick. So never know.

Crazy.. I’ve done a lot of research lately into autopsies & Soo much more..
Hopefully I’ll be able to tell you guys about all of my recent work I’ve done in this area; soon!🤞

Do you think it’s common, though, how they were both found deceased in opposite sides of the home ?

What is Occam's razor here, it's hard to know? I'm assuming a health event , followed by another health event, brought about by the first? And sadly the death of the dog was a consequence of this, being trapped in his/her crate? Being that they were reclusive by choice, and Betsy likely being capable of all household chores, maybe they did not have a maid, cleaner, chef etc to come in and find them. They obviously had at least 1 gardener/maintenance man/grounds keeper, which can be expected of a 12 acre (I think I read this) property, owned by an older couple with money. By all accounts, they seemed to just be living life as normal citizens of the Santa Fe community.

I do find it odd that despite all getting along (it seems anyway) that there were not more frequent calls/texts or even visits between family members. Were there any visits made at Christmas I wonder? Family dynamics can definitely be odd.

I just find it sad they they lay dead there for a week, nearly 2, before they were found. Who knows how instant or drawn out their deaths were? I guess nobody would ever have guessed that something like this would occur. Due to the age difference, I assume it would be thought that Betsy would be able to get help should something occur. Maybe vice verse if Gene was still capable. Whilst it's been reported his health had declined lately, there doesn't seem to be much mentioned about his cognitive abilities and whether they were impacted. I wonder if this played into things at all, especially if she went first. I'm also wondering, after this amount of time, how accurate can the authorities pinpoint day/time of death? (Noted: info from his pacemaker is pretty clear on a day, possibly time, but what about her?)

No real insight or questions here, just my ramblings out loud.

In a nutshell what I took from your article is that it was hard since he was on the road for months at a time and enamored with Hollywood. He didn't handle it very well (his quote, not my opinion). And apparently there were temptations, that don't usually bode well for relationships. "The temptations in that, the money and recognition, it was too much for the poor boy in me. I wasn't able to handle that."

That is understood. In Pasadena Playhouse, Hackman and Hoffman were voted “the least likely to succeed”. (Neither was your matinee idol, both worked so hard to achieve recognition, and both proved that talent is everything.)
Gene became famous in late 30s, and achieved stardom in his 40es. He is honest: at such an age, you have to take roles to stay in trend, and Gene probably had to work a lot. Certain alienation from the son happened because he (his own words) was away for four months. Perhaps this is the cost you have to pay for being famous.

  1. Out of the two of them, who do you think printed out the medical records?
  2. Who’s records did they print?
  3. Why?
(Would love to hear everyone’s opinions)

and when I say I get it, I mean you look at who might have a motive, same as they always look first to a spouse. Im not feelin it tho, not the kids. I am stumped, but I have total confidence in the medical professionals who will get to the bottom of it.

Jim Henson's cause of death wasn't immediately known, but it was eventually determined to be toxic shock syndrome caused by streptococcus bacteria.

It’s not uncommon. Just that this couple has a famous husband.
I mean, unless it was a murder-suicide.. I have never heard of this before other than in The Notebook

Where does it say BA did all the household chores? Please link it.

Why not the kids, though? Just curious. A feeling or ?
I guess maybe because I have 4 sisters and we are all very different in our relationship with our dad. None are estranged but 2 will go months without speaking , its just their lifestyle but no bad blood, they also live out of town and dont worry about his care , hes got a good wife too. so to me its not so unusual.
and in that Larry king interview he said his family never wanted for anything. Im sure he would have provided for them also. Betsy I dont think had anyone to leave anythng to, her mom had dementia, Im sure GH would have provided for his children, He is the one that takes accountability for his absence, its not them talking.
