Gawd I hate I was late to this case... What phone calls??????
The phone calls with DEtective Flores, I think. The tapes were played in court.
1) no
2) according to her <belch>
3) omg I forget... (sex tape most likely next) I believe she was just bloviating about her trip to see all the mormon sites
4) should be over but alas it is not
I'd love to help you but at one point we went back---no abuse--he may or may not have cheated on her with "flirting"---sometimes they are a tihing other times he wants to be buddies...its crazy
1. No
2. Sadly, yes
3. 2007
4. We haven't reached that point yet. Oops...I thought that implied when Travis and Jodi broke up. I thing the jury has less than 5 minutes left of their break.
1. Depends on what you consider abuse, in my opinion not even close.
2. Unfortunately, yes.
3. I think they are gearing up for the phone sex.
4. They were supposed to be back 12 or so minutes ago.
1. No
2. Pretty much
3. 2007
4. They are supposed to back from break now.
1. No
2. She's working on it
3. I lost track, but some time after it became "official"
4. They broke about 30 minutes ago -- for 20 minutes
1. No
2. Not all
3. I think around 2007.
4. They should be back any minute.
1. No. Unless you take what she is saying is sexual abuse instead of just their steamy sex life!
2. Not yet. (see # 3)
3. I think they are up to 2007
4. Supposed to be back at 3:30 AZ Time. (But late as usual!).
You guys rock!! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!!!
From Twitter:
Saw Travis' family praying in the hallway. Devastating. Can't wait for Prosecturor to bring this case back to facts. Travis.

This is what makes this case so hard to stomach. Unfortunately, I have a good imagination and also dear brothers and I can totally put myself in the shoes of Travis' sisters and it is too much. It makes it hard to analyze this case dispassionately (except for specific legal questions, so don;t worry!!).
I am getting nervous about this trial. Of course we know she lied to Det. Flores about murdering TA, but as far as her testimony is concerned, both my husband and I believe her to be telling the truth. We were raised Mormon and can certainly relate to JA speaking of their sexual rules, secrecy, chaperones, affairs, acting one way around church members and another way around non-members, name calling. My MIL told my husband that I was a "*****".
I am not defending her, just saying her testimony is believable, in our opinions, based on our OWN experiences in Mormon culture.
Do you think she could be telling some truth but twisting it? And even if she was telling the total truth, where is the abuse justifying extreme fear and ultimate self-defense? I mean, it kind of just sounds like caddish behavior - maybe piggish, but not abusive in the classical sense. What do you think?
Out of curiousity, do you think this trial would play out any differently if TA had been a female?
100% differently.
But Jodi had these feelings because of her own pathology, not because she was afraid of Travis. Big difference. I hope the jury sees that.
I hope so too!!!!
Thank you!
Can you high light JODI'S stalker behavior now?
Yup:

There are certain traits which stalkers seem to have in common. Typically the stalker is an unmarried white male. Stalkers are frequently rejected lovers and often are chronic failures in social or sexual relationships.

Stalkers will not take no for an answer. At the bottom of their heart they still believe that the victim will eventually "come around". Because they have little sense of self or identity if they are rejected, they feel as if they have nothing. Consequently, as long as the continue pursuing their victims, the stalkers can convince themselves they haven't been completely rejected yet.

Stalkers display an obsessive personality. In addition, stalkers also may have another psychological or personality disorder, such as erotomania, paranoia, schizophrenia, and delusional thinking.

Stalkers are above average intelligence. They will often go to ingenious lengths to track down a victim, or obtain information they're looking for. In addition, stalkers many times use their intelligence to throw others off their trail. For example, a stalker in Florida allegedly tapped into his victim's telephone line and then called himself in an effort to make it look as though the victim was harassing him.

Stalkers are usually loners. Most stalkers don't have any relationship outside the one they are trying to reestablish or the one they have imagined exists between them and their victim.

Stalkers don't display the discomfort or anxiety that people should naturally feel in certain situations. Normal individuals would be extremely embarrassed to be caught following other people, going through their trash looking for information about them, leaving obscene notes and other inappropriate behavior displayed by stalkers. Stalkers however, don't see this as inappropriate behavior, but only as a means to gain the person's love.

Stalkers often suffer from low self-esteem, and feel they must have a relationship with the victim in order to have any self-worth. Some stalkers believe that if they can attach themselves to famous or important people some of this fame and importance will transfer to them.[/FONT]
