I follow a lady on tiktok who asks her ICU doctor husband questions about the case and he answers them. He's great. Thoughtful, not invested in the case, just cooking dinner and answering her questions. The one answer that stood out to me was he said "that man wasn't hit by that car."
I've seen that! I'm fascinated by other experts weighing in on this case without the background knowledge of it. Their own medical examiner, even under pressure, wouldn't say he was hit by a car. It sounds like the CW shopped around for trial #2 and did find someone to say he was hit by a car so that will be interesting to hear.

It has been reported that she has lost almost everything including her home, any savings and her job, and if not from the help of her familly and now from the public and attys working pro bono for her can she continue.
I find that so admirable of her legal team. They truly believe in her innocence and are willing to fight for it. Yes, I know they’re also getting visibility, but I still do believe it’s motivated by their support of and belief in Karen.

I think they all know that JOK could not have been hit by a vehicle so imo they know KR is not responsible for his death. They genuinely believe she is innocent. Jmo

I always do a double take, just like last trial, comparing the gulf in passion and sincerity between the defense ( all of them but esp. Jackson and now also Alessi) and Lally and now Brennan. Jmo

Interesting tidbit—. Under cross, day 15 trial 1, JM says (rather was forced to admit was by AJ) that she didn’t see Chloe when she woke up NA/BA. Right after that, AJ segues into some parenting GPS type app and when her daughter arrived home - leading her to say that her daughter was the last person to leave 34F.
where was AJ going with Chloe not being there when Jen came in to wake them up. At that point any dog would be barking. Where does the defense think Chloe was?

Matt McCabe, he of the " Tell them he never came in to the house" text to a group of McCabes and Alberts. There was much collusion, IMO.
Did he text that in response to JMC texting or whatever that THE FEDS came>

Some of the YT attorneys did try to start out completely neutral (Emily D. Baker - the BEST - and the Lawyer You Know come to mind) and just watch the trial as it unfolded but ended up 100% on the Not Guilty side as it unfolded.

I've not ever seen anything like this before. And most of these people are wicked smahht, as some folks in Dedham might say....
I just found hers yesterday. I follow LYK and am watching him now with Turtleboy’s lawyer. There is another one with a couple of retired Vegas cops who started watching because the wife of one of them told them to and they started as curious observers but now wear FKR hats.

So the full context of those texts were never released in court. The group text included Matt and Jen McCabe, and Nicole and Brian Albert (and maybe Chris Albert IIRC). In response to Matt saying ‘tell them the guy never went in the house’, Brian Albert replied ‘Exactly.’

ETA: I can find no mention of Chris Albert in that group chat, so I must have dreamed that up myself. The group chat was the McCabe couple (Matt and Jen) and the Albert couple (Nicole and Brian). Nicole and Jen are sisters.

Also interestingly - that group chat was started February 1st. Jen McCabe also wrote ‘She’s telling them EVERYTHING’ while listening to Kerry Roberts on the phone with a police officer. Jen claims that comment was made in reference to Kerry calling Karen and John’s relationship a ‘glorified babysitter’ or something to that effect. That doesn’t seem like ‘everything’ to me, though.

I think Matt's text was the next morning. Long before FBI involvement.
Yes, that was 2/1/22 at 2:15PM that Matt sent that text. John had just died the morning of Saturday 1/29, so this was a little over 72 hours later that the text was sent. Feds didn’t question Jen until April 2023.

LYK highlights a number of incidences during JMc's cross where the judge says stuff and behaves in a manner unbefitng to a judge ie judges simply don't do this. Their job is to make sure Attorneys and witnesses behave appropriately, not become the one behaving inappropriately. Moo
LYK is my favorite and this video was exceptionally good.
I caught that too, Judge B did exactly what she was reprimanding AJ for.
Interesting about judges not liking Cali lawyers in their courtroom.

From all accounts of the text messages, and evidence shown, it seemed that JOK was just stringing Karen along. And someone pointed out that the women called her the babysitter. Karen seemed to really love the guy and she tried to validate him in her texts, but I didn't observe any love of her in the way he treated her, hanging up on her and not picking up the phone or responding. It was a co-dependent relationship that's for sure. And let's face it, what kind of role models were they being for those kids with all that drinking and bar-hopping going on every weekend.
MOO.
He was 46 and never married. He may have not wanted a real committment. I wonder how many of "the girls" would have liked to have become his wife at some point in time.

VERY SUSPICIOUS.

I’m trying to be reasonable and not let my emotions get involved and think only of the law. From what we know so far, if I was a juror, there would be NO WAY I could find Karen guilty without doubt. I also couldn’t find the group in the house guilty without doubt. (I know they aren’t on trial, but in my opinion what is being presented about them is just as convincing, if not moreso, than what they are presenting about Karen.)

IF they end up PROVING beyond a reasonable doubt that Karen hit him, I don’t think ANYTHING has been presented that would convince me she did it on purpose. I don’t see how it’s second degree.

There’s just not enough hard core evidence one way or another. We don’t put people in prison for second degree murder when reasonable doubt is present. It doesn’t matter if you do or don’t like the defendant. America was built on a justice system that is supposed to be blind and fair. We can wonder all we want, but we must KNOW before convicting someone.
What evidence is there from the group in the house???? Only their "story." No physical evidence to even consider. The investigators showed lttle interest in anything or anyone but Karen.

Not in this thread so far as yet,
You have the board..
why would the report be demanded on deadline of May 7th and the mismatch dates for even being able to testify , as I expect this trial will have concluded by that date ?
I admit I am easy confused . Help?
Not by a long shot. At the rate this trial is going?? I think Bev was a little rattled by Wolfe's testimony. She didn't even want to hear the additional expert, probly knowing the same from him. I wonder what brilliant reason she will come up with to try to exclude them. Only in Mass and even Mass attys I've seen in interviews say the experts should be allowed to testify. So maybe it's just in Norfolk County thing.

There is also plenty of money, power, fame, etc...to be had by actually conspiring and framing a person, so there is that. I agree that truth will ultimately win out, but I have learned not to always trust the system after cases like OJ, Duke Lacrosse, Richard Jewel, etc... JMO
Not to mention the political issues , and lawsuits that come into play ...if they lose. Its bad guys.
