The defense will probably call him, but I'm not sure it's a slam dunk they will.

Once the CW's case is over, the defense has to weigh whether it's better to keep Proctor an invisible boogeyman who has disappeared (where is he? Dead, retired, in jail?) vs calling a hostile witness they cannot prep in any way. Lawyers don't like to ask questions they don't already know the answers to and this alone makes Proctor a bit of a wild card for them.

Buhkenik did so badly on the stand. Does the defense leave well enough alone and focus on their obvious third party culprit (Higgins) instead? I don't know, but I don't think it's an easy decision for them.

I think if I was the defendant's lawyer, I would call MP and leave BH a mystery.
It has the most sex appeal. Like a Monty Python romance, if such a thing exists.

Interesting. I’ve heard the CW was nearly finished with its case, but I’m still so surprised at who isn’t getting called. So many witnesses from the first trial with major problems that Brennan skipped right over them. Did we ever find out who was reluctant to testify?

The Alberts and friends are really being protected here by the prosecution. Or maybe it's the CW case that's being protected by not calling them:

With Higgins going so far as to destroy his SIM card at a military base no less. Higgins breaking federal law by illegally using FBI equipment to extract info from his phone. They are both very important potential third party culprits for the defense.

Higgins and Brian Albert will be called. As will the dog bite doc and Chloe/Cora's other victims, Lucky the plow guy, and probably Ricky D. (the designated driver in the "Nagel" vehicle.) Mustn't forget Barros the Dighton officer who testified last time the taillight was minimally cracked before Proctor got to it.

I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. But a vigorous defense is planned. I'm sure of that.

In court sometime last week ,there was a public out of jury court thing and I heard someone on the defense team say ""if we decided to present a case"' . (loose quotes)
I just wanted everyone to be aware ,the defense may rest, and not present anything.
It's a judgement call at this point. It can make or break careers.

Someone up above just posted a video with Karen Read being interviewed where she said they have a broader and deeper defense this time.

I think, or hope, that the defense throws everything they have at the jury. Leave no stone unturned so there is an end to this. Well, I guess an end if is is acquitted. Appeals will go on for a lifetime if she is convicted.

I would like to know what Karen and Brian Higgins talked about when she visited his place that night. She told Higgins about the trip to Aruba where JOK was lushing over a younger woman (at least that was Karen's view of it and I can believe it). I know she never spoke poorly of JOK in her texts to BH or to JOK, but did Higgins think he was being a knight in shining armor by sucker punching JOK that night as they passed each other at the Alberts, for the way BH perceived he was treating Karen.

The short version: it doesn't make sense that he was hit by the car. They also talk about how bad the investigation was in this case.

He told me last night that his TikTok (again, he's a college student lol) is flooded with pro-Alessi videos. I went and looked at a few last night and Alessi is definitely winning the hearts of a lot of people (myself included!).

Recall that Chris Albert had testified that by the time the others were leaving Waterfall he had already walked home and was upstairs in bed. Maybe it wasn't Chris at all but was Albert Brother Number 14 called Malachi??
